After Huddersfield shocked us all by holding Man City to a goalless draw at the Etihad, there’s a pair of 4.30pm fixtures to hopefully get Double Gameweek 37 on track.

Despite playing just once in Double Gameweek 37, Mohamed Salah is second only to Harry Kane for the captaincy, with 19.42% OF Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers handing him the armband for Liverpool’s trip to Chelsea.

Salah – who scored against his former employers back in Gameweek 13 – remains four goals ahead of Kane in the race for the Golden Boot after the latter’s blank at West Brom yesterday.

However, that single fixture means that, in terms of transfers out, the Egyptian (356,000+) and team-mate Roberto Firmino (272,000+) were the two most sold players ahead of last Friday’s deadline.

There was limited interest in the Blues, though, with Cesar Azpilicueta their most bought player (34,000+) for a pair of home fixtures that also includes a midweek visit from Huddersfield.

Antonio Conte’s teamsheet sees Olivier Giroud lead the line, with Eden Hazard handed a central support role behind the winter signing – only 6% of FPL managers own the Belgian, who has a goal and two assists in his last three matches across all competitions.

Elsewhere, Arsenal welcome Burnley to the Emirates in Arsene Wenger’s final home match in charge.

The Gunners’ manager names a strong attacking line-up after their midweek Europa League exit, with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang back on the teamsheet.

The Gabon international has five goals and three assists in his last seven league outings, though he looks set for a role on the left, with Alexandre Lacazette leading the line.

Handed the armband by just 1.89% and 1.81% respectively, Aubameyang and Lacazette (with four goals in four) could now emerge as big captaincy differentials, with Wenger’s men also set to face Leicester’s porous defence on Wednesday evening.

I was about to buy Moses as I only had 6.6m itb but then did a -4 to get 0.3 to get Azpilicueta.

Now Moses gets an assist and Liverpool will score

            Wrong

Please Mourinho had alot of say in transfers. He wouldn't play KDB or Salah and didn't fancy Lukaku so they were all sold.

Once again, Salah wasn't sold when Mourinho was manager of Chelsea. You can say it as often as you like, but it's wrong, Conté was in charge when Salah was sold.

As for Mourinho not using them, I don't defend that and it was clear he hadn't a use for them at that stage, justifiably so because he won the league with the team he did have. Chelsea's overall transfer policy doesn't have much input from management, hence why Conté has also fallen out with them this season. It's all about players having to deliver immediately instead of giving them time to develop.

For goodness sakes Mourinho scolded Salah so badly at half-time he made the lad cry and subsequently never played him again so his loan to Fiorentina was sanctioned. Fiorentina wouldn't pay up at the end of it so he was loaned out again by Mourinho this time to Roma and he did so well they paid up and kept him permanently.

So while the sale officially occurred after Conte was appointed the DECISION to sell was already made long before then and it was Mourinho who made it all possible by freezing him out and loaning him out.

He did the same to KDB because he didn't fancy either of them. He only bought Salah on the cheap in the first place to gazzump Liverpool. He loves doing that did the same with Willian

Also Chelsea's transfer policy ofcourse takes input from the manager but it depends which manager and for what deal. Conte has fallen out b/c he hasn't been able to buy much of what he wanted as Roman has been unusually stingy later with funds.

Their transfer policy also isn't just about expecting immediate dividends right away they have a long term strategy of buying up young talent and loaning them out they do this more than anyone some of which come back and do great like Lukaku, Christensen and Courtois. They do this to save paying over the odds later for proven talent.

First of all that Salah crying story came from one journalist, there's never been anything concrete on that aside from what Luke Moore said on his podcast.

And yes he was loaned out, because Mourinho hadn't needed him and was following the usual Chelsea policy. However, having done well at Roma, it was perfectly reasonable if Chelsea chose to recall him. They didn't, not because Conté didn't want to necessarily, but the club decides these things and there was decent money going for him.

Also, it's a Chelsea policy to try and swoop for players their rivals are after, have done it countless times to other clubs under Mourinho and under other managers.

It's not just funds. Chelsea went out and bought the likes of Drinkwater and Barkley this season, neither of whom Conte has used much or at all. They were after Lukaku, wouldn't stump up the price and wound up with Morata, who as it turns out really hasn't been great. There's managerial input, but a lot of this is all about Roman playing real life football manager. Selling Matic a prime example of this as well, Conté flat out didn't want him gone.

Their policy on youth is to loan out a lot, no argument there, but when players get their chance in Chelsea from their loans they either have to settle in fast or get sold. Because in the end, looking at the "save money long term" approach, it's only worked for Courtois and a lesser extent Christensen. Aside from Courtois, they've fairly frequently wound up selling all their players that were future stars. I don't think Chelsea have the patience, as a club, to let a player settle in their ranks. They expect finished products quickly from those they loan out, otherwise they move them along. It's not been particularly smart whatsoever, but they may well approach it differently now seeing how many good players the club has been okay with letting go.

Yes fair points on the last three paragraphs but to make a long story short one can place primary blame on Salah no longer being a Chelsea player on Mourinho which was all I was saying in the first place.

I think there'll be a lot going on next season. Chelsea probably a new manager and one or two key purchases, Arsenal under new management and no doubt a few new faces in, United will spend, Pool will spend, City will spend. Spurs might be in danger of falling out of CL spots if they're not careful.

Agree. Spurs need to take some risks and buy players that challenge the regular starters rather than just buying back-ups. Will be get interesting to see what happens with Arsenal, anything could happen to them.

It looks like Arsenal have big plans from a coaching/management structure. Still think they need a few buys, certainly CM and CBs. Players like Aubameyang are top level so they can definitely cobble together a great attack.

legitimately wish I had gone Giroud Auba over Kane Jesus at this point (which was an option at one point)

Hindsight (@FPLVirgin) is great, I know, but it still hurts. I was close to at least keeping Auba. he's currently outperforming everyone in my BB team.

First thing I've done right all this sorry gameweek - punting on Giroud and keeping Auba

I did Kane / Son to Auba / KDB (plus also Willian to Ransey later)

Could be worse. I was torn between Vardy and Giroud. Tossed a coin and ended up on tails so got Vardy.

How many minutes left until the referee blews his whistle for half-time ?
