Household Fantasy Premier League names Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane were the stars of World Cup day five.

Both strikers scored twice for their nations and recorded double-figure hauls. With favourable fixtures coming up for them both, they are expected to earn some transfer interest today.

We’ve got all the goals, assists and talking points from the latest round-up of World Cup matches.

BELGIUM 3-0 PANAMA

Romelu Lukaku (£10.0m) continued his prolific form for Belgium as Panama were eventually swept aside 3-0.

The Manchester United striker now has 10 goals and two assists in his last seven matches for his country.

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.0m) and Eden Hazard (£10.0m) provided the assists for Lukaku’s brace after Dries Mertens (£9.0m) had opened the scoring shortly after half-time.

Belgium started the livelier of the two sides and created more chances, but lacked any conviction in the final third at first. Panama were able to ask questions on the counter-attack but lacked the quality to really punish the Red Devils.

Roberto Martinez’s half-time team-talk had impact though, as Belgium raced out of the traps in the second-half to score their opening goal.

Mertens finally broke the deadlock for Belgium shortly into the second half with a wonderful volley over goalkeeper Jaime Penedo (£4.5m), after his initial shot was headed back in his direction by Ramon Torres (£5.0m).

Lukaku put a more familiar look on the score-line in the 68th minute after his close-range header connected with an outstanding pass from De Bruyne.

And in the 75th minute he was put through by Hazard and chipped it over Penedo beautifully to round off the scoring.

BELGIUM XI (3-4-2-1): Courtois, Alderweireld, Boyata, Vertonghen; Meunier, Witsel (Chadli 90′), De Bruyne, Carrasco (Dembele 73′); Mertens (T Hazard 83′), E Hazard (c); R. Lukaku.

PANAMA XI (4-1-4-1): Penedo; Murillo, Escobar, R Torres, Davis; Gomez; Barcenas (G Torres 63′), Godoy, Cooper, Rodriguez (Diaz 63′); Perez (Tejada 73′).

TUNISIA 1-2 ENGLAND

Harry Kane (£11.0m) registered a double-figure haul as he scored a late winner for England against Tunisia.

The Tottenham forward, fresh from another fantastic FPL season, scored a brace for the Three Lions.

The first was scored after John Stones (£5.5m) header from a corner was well-saved by Hassen, Kane slotting in the re-bound from close-range.

Prior to that, Raheem Sterling (£9.0m) and Jesse Lingard (£7.0m) both had guilt-edged chances to find the net.

Tunisia did not offer much attacking threat in the game and their equaliser came agains the run of play.

Fakhereedine Ben Youssef went down in the penalty box and was awarded a penalty. Kyle Walker (£6.0m) was deducted two Fantasy points for his alleged role in the incident.

Sliti scored the spot-kick with Jordan Pickford (£5.5m) getting a glove on the ball before it went in.

England continued to mount their attack in the second-half and Kane scored his second in stoppage time, unmarked at the back post after Harry Maguire (£5.0m) had knocked the ball down from a corner.

TUNISIA XI (4-1-4-1): Hassen (Ben Mustapha 15’); Maaloul, Meriah, S Ben Youssef, Bronn; Schiri; Sliti (Ben Amor 74’), Badri, Sassi, F Ben Youssef; Khazri (Khalifa 85’).

ENGLAND XI (3-5-2): Pickford; Maguire, Stones, Walker; Young, Lingard (Dier 93’), Henderson, Alli (Loftus-Cheek 80’), Trippier; Sterling (Rashford 68’), Kane.

SWEDEN 1-0 SOUTH KOREA

Defender Andreas Granqvist (£5.0m) was the Fantasy hero for Sweden on Monday as he scored the penalty that sealed victory over South Korea.

Despite the ITV commentary team acting surprised to see the centre-back stepping up to take the spot-kick, won by Viktor Claesson (£5.5m), we at Fantasy Football Scout were fully aware of his set-piece responsibilities.

As pointed out by our recent set-pieces article, the Swedish defender scored three penalties in qualifying and continued his record from the spot by sending Jo Hyeon-woo (£4.5m) the wrong way to score in the

Sweden were the livelier side for most of the game with Marcus Berg (£8.0m) and eventual match-winner Granqvist both having excellent chances to score in the first-half.

Striker Berg had a close-range shot well-saved by Jo after Granqvist’s run into the box was well-stopped. The latter also added aerial threat at corners to his already huge Fantasy appeal.

Son Heung-min (£8.0m) was quiet in the opening period, only once causing Sweden problems on their left-side. His run into the box stretched the Swedish defence but his cut-back wasn’t accurate enough and it was easily cleared.

There was heartbreak for Park Joo-Ho (£4.0m) in the 28th minute when he picked up a hamstring injury stretching for a loose ball. Kim Min-woo (£4.0m) came on as his replacement.

SWEDEN XI: (4-4-2): Olsen, Lustig, Granqvist, Augustinsson, Jansson, Larsson (Svensson 79’), Ekdal (Hiljemark 71’), Forsberg, Claesson, Berg, Toivonen (Thelin 77’).

SOUTH KOREA XI (4-2-3-1): Cho; Park, Kim Young-gwon, Jang, Lee Yong; Koo (Lee Sung-woo 72’), Ki, Lee Jae-sung; Son, Kim Shin-wook (Jung 66’), Hwang.

I have Cavani already, and Valeja at the back.
I was looking at England players for the panama game, but no obvious transfers as I can't afford Kane without a hit, and only have Granqvist as a 5m option in defence and I want to hold him for the penalty chances.

Yeah I’m actually leaning towards the Gk switch as I will be using the wc in round 3 and don’t fancy Olsen against the Germans. Getting rid of Jesus or Muller could easily backfire but the same could be said of not having Spanish representation against Iran

Iran looked okay to be honest. Spain will probably beat them, but won't be a walk over.

          Who is your other keeper?

Having the option to rotate day to day is useful with budget keepers.

As you've said below German need to win. They looked poor in attack against Mexico, so I would like to see Muller playing OOP up front like the last world cup.

You think Werner is dropped? Personally I don’t see it and Muller playing on the right just isn’t as effective.

I think they could drop him, he didn't really justify the hype against Mexico. Muller has played there before and done well.

The problem Germany had was slow build up play, often they had opportunities for a through ball, or pass out wide to an overloading full back and just didn't find it, kept possession and allowed Mexico to get back into position. Muller offers more of a target.

Fair point. I’m going to wait to see how James gets on before making a decision in any case. If he looks shite or gets injured or somesuch moving him out for Isco makes life a lot easier.

May I get some help on this please. I've read the rules and I don't get it. I did something stupid. Before france played, I forgot to set back to 1st round and made a transfer bringing in Dembele (France) so it was made this round for next round. I'm thinking of WC for round 2. If I go ahead and do this when can I? I can't see the WC option. I have only used Bench Boost this round. What is the window for WC so the changes will apply for round 2.

I'm planning to WC ahead of Round 3 so will target players with raising prices, and we get extra funds going into the knock outs as well. Not played this format before so I don't know what to expect from price rises.
A string bench seems important in this game regardless of BB, just because of daily rotation.
In FPL I always have 4.0m options, as I hate having 'points on bench rage'.

Can you WC and Bench Boost in the same Round?

Seriously considering this for the reasons you mention. WC after group stages.

You have unlimited transfers before the round of 16 kicks off in any case. Wildcard before round 3 or post the round of 16 but I don’t think that’s the best option.

There's something to be said for being on top of price rises and so doing the WC in rnd 3 - if a couple of unfancied teams go through or there are injuries to star players.

Plan is to BB this round (maybe triple captain Cavani) and the WC in rnd 3. Unlimited transfers next round, then 3, 5, 5 should see me right.

          Or am I missing something?

I agree with wildcarding before round 3 starts. As for the maximum captain chip, it doesn’t give your captain 3x points. It automatically puts the armband on your highest scoring player in the round.

              Ah thnx.

I might hold off on Bench Boost and play maximum captain chip this round then. WC rnd 3 and bench boost in the knockouts.

    Sigurdsson Eriksen Gazinky Isco Layun
    Suarez Lukaku Kane
Think I'm G2G, 1 mil left in the bank for Messi for round 3. Appreciate any comments.

Danilo or Guerreiro are better, but if you can do something with the 0.5m you save, I think Mexico defender is good too.

    For any mods reading this.

Is it possible to hulk all fantasy related updates(JRod injury, Pavard, Meza nailed on-ness, etc)?

It's very hard to keep track of important updates and the deadlines come very quickly.

    Thanks.

Seems quite hard to find reliable news is the worry.. one person says James is injured, and then the next says he's absolutely fine!

To wildcard or not, opinions please

    Kajoui, Almaouf
    Kimmich, Miranda, Godin, Meuinier, Sabaly
    Eriksen, James, Gazinsky, Ziyach, Cueva
    Lukaku, Jesus, Cavani

my thoughts include. I am generally happy with lots of my players, but I would love to get in Costa, maybe another uruguayan defender (Varela) and could do with some players against weak opposition.
my main concerns are my keepers both have bad fixtures and I would be happy to trade out Sabaly, Ziyach, Cueva etc.
    thanks in advance.

    1FT. Nothing in the bank.

    Muslera Uzoho
    Kimmich Meunier Danilo Trippier Pavard
JRod Eriksen Meza Belhanda Al Dawsari
    Lukaku Jesus Cavani

    Captains:
    Day 1: No one
    Day 2: Cavani
    Day 3: Eriksen
    Day 4: Jesus
    Day 5: Lukaku
    Day 6: JRod

    Best transfer?

    1. JRod to someone?
    2. Al Dawsari to Nandez/Gazinsky/Sassi?
    3. Any other ideas(willing to take a hit)?

People fixate too much on captain thingy.. You will have Cavani/Costa and Lukaku - one of them (if not all 3) will score in the next round. See their fixtures.

I do...considering going with Max captain as it's hard to pick between them for (c) that day. Seems as good a round as any to use it too. What you think?

Oh yeah. Great fixtures this round. One of your captains will definitely get a massive haul.
