Household Fantasy Premier League names Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane were the stars of World Cup day five.

Both strikers scored twice for their nations and recorded double-figure hauls. With favourable fixtures coming up for them both, they are expected to earn some transfer interest today.

We’ve got all the goals, assists and talking points from the latest round-up of World Cup matches.

BELGIUM 3-0 PANAMA

Romelu Lukaku (£10.0m) continued his prolific form for Belgium as Panama were eventually swept aside 3-0.

The Manchester United striker now has 10 goals and two assists in his last seven matches for his country.

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.0m) and Eden Hazard (£10.0m) provided the assists for Lukaku’s brace after Dries Mertens (£9.0m) had opened the scoring shortly after half-time.

Belgium started the livelier of the two sides and created more chances, but lacked any conviction in the final third at first. Panama were able to ask questions on the counter-attack but lacked the quality to really punish the Red Devils.

Roberto Martinez’s half-time team-talk had impact though, as Belgium raced out of the traps in the second-half to score their opening goal.

Mertens finally broke the deadlock for Belgium shortly into the second half with a wonderful volley over goalkeeper Jaime Penedo (£4.5m), after his initial shot was headed back in his direction by Ramon Torres (£5.0m).

Lukaku put a more familiar look on the score-line in the 68th minute after his close-range header connected with an outstanding pass from De Bruyne.

And in the 75th minute he was put through by Hazard and chipped it over Penedo beautifully to round off the scoring.

BELGIUM XI (3-4-2-1): Courtois, Alderweireld, Boyata, Vertonghen; Meunier, Witsel (Chadli 90′), De Bruyne, Carrasco (Dembele 73′); Mertens (T Hazard 83′), E Hazard (c); R. Lukaku.

PANAMA XI (4-1-4-1): Penedo; Murillo, Escobar, R Torres, Davis; Gomez; Barcenas (G Torres 63′), Godoy, Cooper, Rodriguez (Diaz 63′); Perez (Tejada 73′).

TUNISIA 1-2 ENGLAND

Harry Kane (£11.0m) registered a double-figure haul as he scored a late winner for England against Tunisia.

The Tottenham forward, fresh from another fantastic FPL season, scored a brace for the Three Lions.

The first was scored after John Stones (£5.5m) header from a corner was well-saved by Hassen, Kane slotting in the re-bound from close-range.

Prior to that, Raheem Sterling (£9.0m) and Jesse Lingard (£7.0m) both had guilt-edged chances to find the net.

Tunisia did not offer much attacking threat in the game and their equaliser came agains the run of play.

Fakhereedine Ben Youssef went down in the penalty box and was awarded a penalty. Kyle Walker (£6.0m) was deducted two Fantasy points for his alleged role in the incident.

Sliti scored the spot-kick with Jordan Pickford (£5.5m) getting a glove on the ball before it went in.

England continued to mount their attack in the second-half and Kane scored his second in stoppage time, unmarked at the back post after Harry Maguire (£5.0m) had knocked the ball down from a corner.

TUNISIA XI (4-1-4-1): Hassen (Ben Mustapha 15’); Maaloul, Meriah, S Ben Youssef, Bronn; Schiri; Sliti (Ben Amor 74’), Badri, Sassi, F Ben Youssef; Khazri (Khalifa 85’).

ENGLAND XI (3-5-2): Pickford; Maguire, Stones, Walker; Young, Lingard (Dier 93’), Henderson, Alli (Loftus-Cheek 80’), Trippier; Sterling (Rashford 68’), Kane.

SWEDEN 1-0 SOUTH KOREA

Defender Andreas Granqvist (£5.0m) was the Fantasy hero for Sweden on Monday as he scored the penalty that sealed victory over South Korea.

Despite the ITV commentary team acting surprised to see the centre-back stepping up to take the spot-kick, won by Viktor Claesson (£5.5m), we at Fantasy Football Scout were fully aware of his set-piece responsibilities.

As pointed out by our recent set-pieces article, the Swedish defender scored three penalties in qualifying and continued his record from the spot by sending Jo Hyeon-woo (£4.5m) the wrong way to score in the

Sweden were the livelier side for most of the game with Marcus Berg (£8.0m) and eventual match-winner Granqvist both having excellent chances to score in the first-half.

Striker Berg had a close-range shot well-saved by Jo after Granqvist’s run into the box was well-stopped. The latter also added aerial threat at corners to his already huge Fantasy appeal.

Son Heung-min (£8.0m) was quiet in the opening period, only once causing Sweden problems on their left-side. His run into the box stretched the Swedish defence but his cut-back wasn’t accurate enough and it was easily cleared.

There was heartbreak for Park Joo-Ho (£4.0m) in the 28th minute when he picked up a hamstring injury stretching for a loose ball. Kim Min-woo (£4.0m) came on as his replacement.

SWEDEN XI: (4-4-2): Olsen, Lustig, Granqvist, Augustinsson, Jansson, Larsson (Svensson 79’), Ekdal (Hiljemark 71’), Forsberg, Claesson, Berg, Toivonen (Thelin 77’).

SOUTH KOREA XI (4-2-3-1): Cho; Park, Kim Young-gwon, Jang, Lee Yong; Koo (Lee Sung-woo 72’), Ki, Lee Jae-sung; Son, Kim Shin-wook (Jung 66’), Hwang.

Now we've seen everyone play, well except group H, but all the favourites, who does everyone think will win the world cup?

I don't remember a world cup where Brazil, Germany, Argentina, and Spain all failed to open with a win.
Germany and Argentina especially looked poor.
I'm sure they'll all still get out of their groups and all be in the quarters at least.

Too early to say, but honestly? England. Yeah, yeah, I am indeed an England fan, but they looked v. good, playing with confidence. Good players on bench as well.

I too was very impressed by England yesterday, I'm also English, I can't see us winning as I think the defence is too weak to really challenge, but I'm pleased to see the team actually playing for pride and attacking intent for the first time since 96.

Spain. They have one of the best goalkeepers (even though he makes som strange mistakes in national games), a strong defence, the best midfield overall and Diego Costa seems to have hit goal scoring form just in time.

I still think Brazil will make it far ito the tournament despite their weak first game but South Americans teams has a tradition of not winning World Cups in Europe.

Spain are probably the most well balanced team, but I don't know, I don't think they'll make the final.

Fantasy Football Scout Daily Hot Topic

With the deadline for Round 2 now only 8 hours away, what are your transfer plans?

Are you switching around your heavy hitters or are you just tweaking your side?

Are you going to try to bring in Ronaldo or Messi?

The wildcard is tempting, but as discussed in a recent Hot Topic it is maybe best held onto. Will you be playing your Wildcard or any Chips in Round 2?

I'm thinking about Jesus to Costa as Jesus can be benched for next game.
Probably will WC for Round 3 and max up on players with best fixtures - mostly Spain and Portugal.
I wanted to play Max Captain but it is crap and I rly don't know if it matters, maybe will play it Round 2 as I will probably have Costa, Cavani and Lukaku as good bets for C.

      Wildcard and bench boost.

Out: Gallese, Uzoho, Kimmich, Varane, Al-Dawsari, J-Rod
In: Sommer, Schmeical, Trippier, J.Alba, Gazinksy, Isco
Kept: Godin, Miranda, Meunier, Nandez, Cueva, Meza, Neymar, Lukaku, Cavanni

Wanted to keep the big hitters, strengthen goalkeepers and tweak defence and midfield. Disappointed to lose J-Rod but saved 0.5m bringing in Isco, allowing the goalie upgrades.

Just wondering why people say it’s good to WC in round 3? Would it not be better to just wildcard for round 2 and 3 to take full advantage of both games?

you've got to look at both fixtures that way havent you.

Only you can decide if your team is good enough on paper to go for round 2. If it isn't then Wildcard.

This is my thinking - taking advantage asap

Have the same thought but as someone said in the wildcard hot topic, do we really know who's in form from 1 game? Ronaldo could very easily blank against Morocco while someone like Jesus hauls against Costa Rica. Its a riskier move to WC in GW2 but personally I think it's worth it.

Yeah after reading the hot topic I am now swaying towards WC in round 3, haven’t really got any problems with my team just better options else where

Any idea what to do here?
Despite some very poor scores I'm actually happy with how most have played. Muller and Werner stand out as the weak links so far.

    Muslera / Uzoho
    Varela /Trippier / Pavard / Mojica / Meunier
    Isco / Muller / Cueva / Grosicki / Colindres
    Cavani / Lukaku / Werner

    Would you wildcard these guys?

    Kajoui, Almaouf
    Kimmich, Miranda, Godin, Meuinier, Sabaly
    Eriksen, James, Gazinsky, Ziyach, Cueva
    Lukaku, Jesus, Cavani

I am leading my minileague, and happy with Lukaku, Cavani, but I really want Costa and CR7. thoughts?

Do Jesus to Costa and you are GTG. cosnidering fixtures of your potential front 3, they can easily match Ronaldo for lower price

I know the logic says try to avoid a points hit - but thinking about bringing in either Costa or Isco for Falcao or JRod - depending on how Columbia play - and then also bringing in Ochoa for El Kajoui.

Spain and Mexico are probably going to have a strong finish to the group stage...good idea?? or just suck up having 1 or 2 points from a GK (I also have Uzoho)

Anyone agree that a BB in RD2 makes sense?

    In my opinion:
    - We have a very good idea of the starting 11 in RD2, all teams need to win and we have knowledge from RD1. RD3 could be a lottery.
    - Less chance of clean sheets and also less chance of cricket scores in later stages as better teams involved (no Saudi Arabia for example).
    - As we move into the later stages there will probably be less cheap options, so decent bench difficult despite the extra cash.
    - Linked to point above, in later stages it makes sense to try to get the heavy hitters rather than spreading the cash too much.

My plan was the WC and then BB, just want to check counter arguments before pushing the button of no return.

I want to WC before RD3 and max on Portugal Spain and other team with good fixtures. Due to result in RD1 Spain and Portugal will do everything to win these games. also, during WC for RD3 you can be looking at e.g. Salah vs Saudi.

It kinda depends on whether you have a strong lineup for RD2/3 already...I'm trying to hold my bb for the Rd4 and then Wildcard for Rd5 or Rd6 depending on how good my predictions where on who would advance.

I do have a very strong line up as I have used the WC, benefit of being able to use the WC and BB at the same time.
