A £20,000 prize is on offer with Play Dribble’s World Cup Fantasy Cup this month and you haven’t got long left until the qualifying rounds draw to a close.

The tournament has a guaranteed £100,000 in prizes with first place claiming one fifth of the pot.

All it takes is one £5 entry to be in with a shout. CLICK HERE to play.

How does the Fantasy Cup work?

There are no budgets and transfers in Play Dribble’s Fantasy Cup with managers picking daily teams based on each day’s fixtures.

In order to earn a place in the final, managers must first get through qualifying and knockout rounds.

Coming first or second in qualifying five-player Dream Team games will earn managers tickets to the knockout rounds. The initial rounds end on Thursday June 28 with the knockouts starting on Saturday June 30.

In order to survive that stage and qualifying for the final, players must pit their wits against every remaining rival. Every day a certain percentage of the lowest scoring users will be eliminated.

Making it to the final itself, which will take place on Sunday July 15, will result in guaranteed pay-outs.

This is the payout structure for the overall winners:

  • 1st place: £20,000
  • 2nd place: £8,000
  • 3rd place: £5,000
  • 4th place: £3,600
  • 5th-6th place: £2,400
  • 7th-8th place: £1,400
  • 9th-10th place: £1,200
  • 11th-15th place: £900
  • 16th-20th place: £500
  • 21st-25th place: £420
  • 26th-36th place: £260
  • 37th-2335th place: £50,000+ in prizes

HOW MANY TEAMS CAN I ENTER?

You can enter as many qualifying Dream Team games as you want in the qualifying rounds. You can win a maximum of 10 tickets into the knockouts.

WHO ARE THE BEST PLAYERS TO HELP ME WIN?

You can user the data in our Members’ Area of our website to pick out the best World Cup Fantasy assets.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

Maradona's behaviour akin to inciting a riot. FIFA should seriously consider banning him from games. The guy is a disgrace.

They don't need to ban him, they just need to stop showing him in such moments.

      They control what we see.

Every single group? No they don't.

He should grow up and celebrate for his own team, why take the piss out of another team that is in an unfortunate situation? I don't think it's disgraceful behavior, I just think it's childish.

okay one or two groups of particularly sensitive fans might not, but giving the finger is hardly an uncommon occurrence at a football match

              it's childish I agree but I don't think it's a problem at all

I thought Martinez was trying to give the impression that he doesn't care, but may make fewer changes than expected.
I would imagine that neither team will want to lose, but they won't be too upset if they draw the match and finish second.

First draft of a next round team (playing BB, still have WC in hand):
    Courtois/Pickford
    Carvajal Trippier RRod Meunier Mojica
    Isco Modric Lingard Quintero Layun
    Costa Kane Lukaku

Don't think much will change unless Germany goes 1st of their group (in which case I'll spread the risk and get some Brazil and Germany - would actually like it)

Idea will be maximizing penalty takers (RRod, Modric, Kane), two strong keepers for BB and going all in on the easiest fixtures (if it goes wrong I'll WC on the QF as I had planned anyways).

    What do you think?

    Captain tomorrow:
    A) Kimmich
    B) Werner
    C) Coutinho

Both germans seem due some points. Kimmich may be the most attractive as Germany could finally keep a clean sheet and he's always an attacking threat.

    Stick with Dalsgaard captain?

Werner/Coutinho and Kane the remaining options

I would stick. Most will tell you the opposite but I wish I had Dalsgaard captain right now.
