Set-pieces continue to dominate the World Cup Fantasy with many of the top performers finding the net from penalties, corners and free-kicks.

So we’ve collated all the data available to us so Members can assess which nations are the best to invest in for the knockout stages of the World Cup.

It would appear that Uruguay, Spain, Brazil and England are the teams worth looking at, while Croatia look susceptible to set-pieces defensively.

READ NEXT: Our transfer tips and stats for the World Cup Fantasy knockout stages

Our research includes each team’s penalty takers based on who has been handed the responsibility at the tournament itself, in qualifying and in friendlies too.

We’ve listed how many of each type of set-piece each player has taken, but if there is no number next to their name it’s because they took at least one in qualifying and/or warm-up games but are yet to take one at the World Cup itself.

We’ve also calculated which teams concede the most fouls and attempts from set-plays too to help you pick the best match-up from the fixtures.

To clarify, the ‘Attempts from set plays’ section combines those who have shot from direct free-kicks or those who have latched onto the end of a corner.

The deadline for Gameround 4 is at 15:00 BST on Saturday June 30, so make sure you sort your team in time.

World Cup Data

We’re delighted to offer World Cup data as an early addition to our regular season offering to help those playing Fantasy games over the summer.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

I'm Portuguese so I might be biased, but I believe it's a close match up, facing one of the best players in the world. I wouldn't bet on a clean sheet for either side: otherwise I'll get Guerreiro or Cedric too.

I think there are many better picks at the price: Carvajal, Miranda, RRod, Trippier...

Yeah I had a rethink a bit earlier, KdB a bit of a flight of fancy and probably not worth skimping in defence...

    Draft #3:

    Muslera / Olsen
    Pavard / Carvajal / Fagner / Meunier / Maguire
    Isco(c2) / Modric / Coutinho / Quintero / Claesson
    Cavani(c1) / Hazard(c3) / Kane(c4)

Gambling on Pavard. Quite optimistic about Fagner's minutes.

His stats are quite impressing though. I believe he was a bit unlucky during the group stage (I had him as well). I wouldn't captain Suárez, always due a red card. And Cavani 0.5 cheaper.

Hi guys! Playing on a local site so rules are slightly different, but point structure the same. 4 transfers per fixture.

    Thoughts on this:
    Ronaldo + Lewandowski + Eriksen + Hector —> Lukaku + Kane + Quintero + Strinic

    That would give me:

    Lukaku - Kane - Cavani
    Isco - Coutinho - Quintero
    Ramos - Marcelo - Meunier - Strinic
    Pickford

Tough fixture, plus if you have Trippier it seems counter-intuitive to also have a Colombia attacker. Odds suggest Colombia will be knocked out so that's 1 out of 3 FT needed to sell him
Sell Claesson if you'd prefer then. But it's one of those two that have to go

I don't think it's particularly counter-intuitive - you might be reducing your overall points ceiling, but that doesn't mean you won't be increasing the expected number of points. Suppose they get 8 points between them - that's not a bad result given the prices.

        Porque?
Portugal are very defensive. Uruguay do not concede many goals. Makes sense to me.

Who has best chances of getting furthest in the tournament? Spain or Croatia

I honestly believe Croatia. They play with more swagger.

A little over 24 hours to the deadline...
If your current L16 draft was locked in now, how well (or poorly) distributed are your 15 players across the matches?
I'm looking at adapting mine after some very helpful RMT responses on here earlier pointed I've a fair amount of bet hedging going on! Cheers guys.

Defence and Mid look great. In attack, I think you're missing Belgium and England, but it's a decent shout.

Thanks. Cant see Belgium or England making it past last 16 to be honest so loading up with players from teams i feel will make it throuh to the semis.
