Fantasy Premier League have revealed six prices ahead of launching the official game for the 2018/19 season.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero was the first to be announced, coming in at £11.0m. That’s £0.5m lower than his starting price for 2017/18 after a season of rotation and injuries.

However, his most recent total score of 169 was just six short of his 2016/17 from 500 fewer minutes. If Aguero can hold down a starting place at City, with Gabriel Jesus potentially returning late from the World Cup, priced at £11.0m he could attract decent ownership.

Going in the opposite direction is Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino who has risen from £8.5m to £9.5m after his best ever season on Merseyside. The Brazilian scored 15 goals and assisted eight times, finishing the campaign in over a third of squads worldwide.

Manchester United and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku has seen his price drop by £0.5m this season going from £11.5m to £11.0m. He scored 16 goals and provided seven assists in his first campaign at Old Trafford, amassing an overall total of 162 points. Surprisingly, that was considerably lower than the 221 he registered in his final year at Everton.

Another player who struggled with injury last season is Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard, whose price has been frozen at £10.5m. His first return of 2017/18 did not come until Gameweek 9 and his total score of 173 was some way short of the 224 he registered in the previous campaign.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka remains in the mid-range midfield bracket with a price of £5.5m. His total of eight assists was only bettered among Arsenal midfielders by Aaron Ramsey (10), Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (both nine).

Meanwhile, star Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has been priced up at £5.0m for his first season in the Premier League, while Fulham wing-back Ryan Sessegnon has been classified as a midfielder.

      It will be strange if he is not classed as a forward and a player like Firmino who plays deeper on average is.

        I disagree. The way they are done normally forward = centre forward. Which Salah isn't. As much as bobby might play deeper than him he is technically a centre forward.
        If Salah gets classed as a striker opens a whole can of worms: Sterling, Sanchez, Mane', Son, Sane', Hazard, Alexis. Where do you draw the line?

      Aguero is a bargain. Should have the striker spot nailed down for the beginning of the season with Jesus likely rested after a deep WC run.

        11m is a great price for Aguero imo. If you go any lower and Jesus gets injured he would be in every single team.

            Regardless, Aguero has consistently produced high PPG. I'd happily pay 11m for an in form Kun.

      3. Drexl Spivey
        • 8 Years

        I wouldn't say overpriced but if Auba comes in for around the same with zero rotation risk he'll struggle to find himself in as many teams.

      4. Brosstan
        • 11 Years
        8 years, 12 days ago

        Rotation is not a reason to price down. They dont want a situation where he is severely underpriced if something happens to Jesus.

        10 would've been nice. Can't go as low as 9.5 for a player with Hazard's pedigree and history.

        Same as last year isn't it? It's good in a way because it will keep him as a differential again. If he's to cheap and goes on one of his runs everyone will have him.

          Bit odd that Hazard becomes a differential though. If a good player has a season with low ownership and low points to what is expected, you'd expect his price to be reduced

              FPL id say but it's as low maintenance as you want to make it. The time I waste on fantasy football no one bar folk On here would understand..Even I don't

              . I'd say FPL is by far the most addictive but not the best in terms of rules and consistency . It would suit you though if that's the format you want. Plus this is mainly an FPL dominated site. No real coverage of the rest bar an article on sky. If you only playing one of the others then you may not find the advice as helpful on here , FISO is more for the other non fpl games imo

          13 sounds right then. I suspect 12.5 though

    Looks like FPL have balls up the prices again.

    Hazard at £10.5m after a thoroughly underwhelming season makes as much sense as reclassifying Josh King as a forward.

      He still scored ok though. Nailed, penalties and the main man of the team.

          No reason to believe he will play a lot more minutes. He was fit for long stretches and still got pulled off at 60 or started on the bench.

      Not sure they have really. He had a pretty decent season, has potential to be massive like he always does. Seems about right to me

        He was quite some distance behind his best seasons. It's astonishing that there hasn't been a 0.5 drop.

                I owned him for almost the entire season. I like him enough to have him in my team, but nonetheless a price drop was a must. Aguero and Lukaku also had overwhelming seasons and they dropped point five.

      I know what you mean. Hazard is a player you have to invest in and have patience. If you stick by him he will do the business and worth the 10.5. He's frustrating to own though which dents his appeal.

    Alright, facing a bit of a dilemma here :

    A/ Mbappe + Rakitic

    B/ Neymar + Bentancur

    Seeing as I'm French I'm tempted to go for Mbappe, but is it just me being blindly loyal?

    Some decent prices that. Right on the edge where you are not sure if a player at that price is worth picking up. Except Hazard. He can be free for all I care and Im not picking that troll again.

    This has got me a bit hyped up for the new season truth be told. 🙂

        Its interesting that he is price frozen for what feels like some time now. Id like a 0.5 drop but at the same time I understand that with his pedigree, no CL and decent points/mins ratio he might be just fine at 10.5. At least I wont be trolled into picking him. 😀 (que GW3 WC where he gets straight in to return 2 pts per game and 12 when I inevitable sell him)

      An £8m profit on what they paid for him when he wasn't a pensioner. Real should bite their hand off.

      I wonder who is on the way out of Juventus to find the sale? Sandro? Huguain?

        Both of those apparently. Sandro close to United and Higuain is the main transfer target of Sarri for Chelsea.

        To be fair, CR is still a 30 goal per season machine and they will get a lot of the transfer fee in through merchandise and publicity. Will be interesting to see what salary he gets considering he is leaving because there was no new contract at Real even though papa Perez promised one.

    Courtois, Pickford
    Miranda, Lovren, Granqvist, Carvajal*, RRodriguez*
    Coutinho, Modric, Isco*, Inui*, CSanchez*
    Kane, Lukaku, Griezmann

    0.3 itb

    I'm thinking:
    Carvajal -> Trippier
    Rodriguez -> Pavard
    Isco -> Rakitic

    Keeping Inui and Sanchez as fodders.

    Are these good moves?
