We are down to just four teams left at the World Cup, with set-pieces and penalties still expected to have a big impact on the outcome of the remaining matches.

Once again, we’ve pulled together all the relevant data so Fantasy Football Scout members can work out which nations are the best to invest in for the semi-finals and final.

It still looks like England are the most likely to score from set-piece situations in the last-four, while France could get some joy against Belgium.

READ NEXT: Our transfer tips and stats for the World Cup Fantasy semi-finals

Our research includes the penalty and corner-takers for each country, based on who has taken them either in Russia or, in some cases, in qualification. If there is no number next to a player’s name it’s because they took at least one in qualifying and/or warm-up games but are yet to take one at the World Cup itself.

We’ve also calculated which teams concede the most fouls and attempts from set-plays too to help you work out which nations are the most likely to get set-pieces in the first place.

To clarify, the ‘Attempts from set plays’ section combines those who have shot from direct free-kicks or those who have latched onto the end of a corner.

The deadline for Gameround 6 is at 19:00 BST on Tuesday July 10, so make sure you sort your team in time.

World Cup Data

We’re delighted to offer World Cup data as an early addition to our regular season offering to help those playing Fantasy games over the summer.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

I wouldn't use a transfer to get rid of a playing player. Are you on WC? If not, can you really spare one? I have seven players out so I need all five!

Oooh, well, haven't yet worked out how many you'd need to shepherd through to the final but Manz hasn't done much, and England are possibly slight favourites, so I'd probably hook him for Griez.

Wouldn't have both Davies and alonso because there's incredible value in defence this season so pick one of the two if you must. Also ni niasse likely to come off the bench throughout the season. Overall 5\10

I hear that said, but the top 10 defenders last season all came from the Big 6. Will be same again this season.

A problem with this draft is the 2 weak strikers. you've got a rigid 3-5-2 line up with nothing on the bench to cover non-starters.

Yeah i agree bt you really just need two premium imo, you also need to look for value in the lesser sides coz at the end of the day it the points I get after spending less that counts

Well my point is if you go for premium defenders the points are secure; if you go cheaper you're relying on luck and will prolly need to make frequent transfers to jump on the weekly bandwagons. I prefer to lock and load my keeper/defence and use transfers further up the park.

I mean, someone’s already said that of the last two third place playoff games, only Brazil made major changes, and they’d just been leathered 7-1. But you think the two participants this time will put entirely new teams out?

Sigurdsson didn't take any, either. Rooney was taken off pens in March, and Everton weren't awarded any for the rest of the season. None of that says Tosun or Sigurdsson wouldn't have stepped up instead of Baines.

Any danger this 4.5 Kamara bloke continues to play opposite Sessegnon?

This guy is a great example of why Sess is overpriced, Kamara 4.5 attacker, is ROOP and mightn't play. Sess might play LB which, as a 6.0 def would have still kept him relevant and, if OOP on the wing would have had him competing with Mendy/Robbo for a premium def spot. Just my two cents!

The logic is there, if OOP he's a premium defender price, if plays left back, still an option (but a costly one).

As it stands, playing LW he's expensive and LB he's nowhere close to being an option...

If you have Ederson you won't bench him, so downgrade Fab to a 4.0 .
Vert is still in Russia, he'll need some rest, turn him to Smalling.
KDB still in Russia too, get Sane.
Use 0.5 of those profits to make Bednarek a playing 4.5 like Daniels/Cedric.

So what is the consensus as to how to use transfers for WC?

    A) Load up on the 2 team you think will win the semis and use 5 transfers to bring in players from team you think will win 3rd place

    B) Spread it between 3 or 4 team to hedge your bets

There's no need for 15 players. I've only got 10 + 5 FTs next round. All my money is invested in heavy hitters who will likely still play in the 3rd place play off

Do you think the heavy hitters will play in the 3/4 place game? I’d expect it to be more a chance to play the rest of the squad.

I'm not so sure it's an issue because nobody is eliminated so, 5 FTs should cover any 3rd place game changes (bearing in mind we get to see the team sheet)

In fact, just gone back and had a look at the last 2 3/4 place playoffs and most teams did put out a fairly strong team. Brazil made quite a few changes last time out, but they’d just been thumped 7-1! Hmmm.

I think your strikers will frustrate you very quickly. will be streaks where zaha is great, but also periods where he won't deliver much and will be playing ROOP.

I'd upgrade Firmino to Auba / Aguero as you have Salah. finance it by an Alonso downgrade as there is too much uncertainty at the moment.

I'd also be upgrading Kamara but if you are set on 3-5-2 then no need.

Not sure about Chelsea for now, so Alonso->Smalling+0.5
Instead of Valencia I'd get Davies (rested) or an ARS def to be ready for gw3
Pep has said Dilva may play less this season, so Sane instead.
And you need an 11m forward to make it easier to change in case any of Auba Kun Lukaku explode early.

Here's where I am at the moment, any thoughts?

    Ederson

    Coleman / Shaw / Cedric

    Eriksen / Sane / D Silva / Mkhi

    Auba / Firmino / Tosun

    Button / Cairney / Tomkins / Schletto

    - Shaw could be any other 5m defender, just thinking he might start the season
    - Cairney could become 4.5m to allow Mkhi > Ramsey
    - Obvious missing part is Salah. Struggling to get him in without skewing the rest of it.
