Everton’s midfield and forward options could be worth including in our Fantasy Premier League squads this season.

New manager Marco Silva is expected to overhaul the style used by predecessor Sam Allardyce in 2018/19 and remove the shackles from their most dangerous players.

Two midfield options and one striker in particular, that were restricted last term, boast some underlying numbers which suggest they could impress in Everton’s appealing set of early fixtures.

Fantasy Football Scout members can view that data in the Members’ Area and also read our full analysis of it below to help them pick the best possible FPL team this season.

For anyone wanting to work out how their FWC rank stacks up, there are currently 1,892,537 people signed up. Really struggled finding that number!

Personally I'm currently 23,524 (Top 2%) which is better then I've ever done in FPL! Number 89 in New Zealand though, and I think I have my ML wrapped up.

Can't wait for FPL to start.

yea sounds like a bridge to far you must be in a decent league if you are chasing with that score you could do with a differential captain from the 3rd 4th playoff game once teams are announced good luck

Before the tournament almost everyone in England expected England to get to the quarter finals.
England got to the semi finals.
The semi finals is further into the tournament than the quarter finals, therefore they overachieved - simple.

England got out of the group after 2 games, kept it tight against Belgium, were better than Colombia for 90 minutes, comfortably beat Sweden, then were better than Croatia for 45 minutes and held them off for another 60. Regardless of the draw, that's an unexpectedly decent run.

It's not my intent to come across bitter, but I would love to be able to rewatch the WC with Vardy, RLC and Rashford as regular starters, just to see England play some fearless attacking football. Maybe we'd have gone out in the group stages but I'd have loved to see if it would have flourished into really scary, punishing, liquid football. 😀

Disclaimer: not having a go at Kane, Sterling or Alli (but only coz I can't be arsed!)

I think England overachieved with the squad they have. They made big strides forward with regards to how they approach tournaments and managed to win a peno shootout at the world cup. Things are looking a lot brighter for the future than they were beforehand.

To be fair Harry doesn't need anyone to create for him. He's one of the best in the world at creating something from nothing. He's just not really been himself since his injury last season top and bottom of it

I’m certain you won’t find 5 goals from last season that he created for himself. There’s always a clear assist that he just puts away. I remember like 2 goals that he created himself.

It's Southgate's fault actually but none of the press will say that. Every one of the British press will go on about brave old England and how Southgate should be knighted etc etc..... We were all over them for the first 20 mins and then we scored. He immediately shut things down and went for 1-0. That's poor management any way you look at it. I did expect to get beat today but not like that...

Kane was invisible since minute 45 yet Southgate removed lively Sterling instead of him for god knows what reason. Also somehow Alli stayed on the pitch for 120 minutes with RLC on the bench.

i thought we played well in the first half and had our chances to go 2-0 up but as soon as they equalised it knocked us for 6 and regardless of personnel or tactics we struggled to recover

    5. Deulofail

      Scored after 5 mins?

I agree, as you could tell from my torrade of critism from the moment the goal went in 😀 Not all Gareth though. Lack of sharpness and an entitled, pampered, taken-for-granted attitude from the team in general, but that could also stem from a lack of fitness or something, because they all seemed to be coasting, even in crucial moments.

It could be the repetition of "stay calm, build confidence"-type mantras, which give them a lack of urgency, which of course stems from Gareth, which stems from the media. Nobody really took the responsibility to take the game to Croatia today, despite the evidence that we could have walked into the final if we really went for it.

Anyway, I'm repeating myself from about one and two hours ago now 😆 I'll stop

Consistently same problem with England all tournament. No consistent chance creation from open play (ex Panama). As a result, have needed Kane to drop deep to create chances and he's been running his energy tank dry very early on in matches. And Sterling and Lingard are certainly not clinical.

    Disappointing in that regard really.

    1. Limited & Mediocre Mana…

Yeah, just no creativity in midfield. I think Lingard has played alright but Alli has been awful and the most frustrating to watch.

Not Lingaard or Alli's job to be creative in midfield. Prob only Wilshere would have given midfield creativity but he's so injury-prone and inconsistent that England were better off without him.

Sterling has been most frustrating by a country mile. What's the point of running at defences if you do zip all with the ball afterwards (get tackled, crappy pass, lame shot etc). Huge let down

Sweden aside, who were very poor, we just didn't finish teams off.

Bottled it against Tunisia. Managed a last minute goal though.
      Bottled it against Colombia.
Should have really beaten Sweden by more than 2 goals.
      Bottled it against Croatia.

I'm 341 OR in World Cup FF thanks to Trippier (c). Anyone else still play/care?

Yup, even those without a chance for KIA still have ML to play for.

Only 2 points ahead in mine with MC chip my only advantage.

30 pts ahead thanks to Tripp. Think I'm in the clear? Have to replace 4 England tho 🙁

Expect a few rotations, but there's the 3rd place playoff still. We'll have lineups before the deadline.

Too slow a start and pretty ropey last couple of rounds were costly. Ho hum. Now 8 of my 13 'starters' are in the B match 😮

Pope to start vs Belgium, with Butland to replace him at half time?

That, plus a Welbeck appearance would mean that all 23 England players feature.

Welbeck has feature but it might be nice for him to get another run out so he spends more time on the pitch than Neymar did on the ground!
