The FFS Template Team Stats

After having done the following analysis for the previous season as well as the European Championships, I’ve again collected am amount of ‘Rate my team’s’ from the latest RMT article. This was done prior to GW1 Kickoff.

FFScout template team / most selected players:

Lukasz Fabianski (44%) – Ben Foster (28%)
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (96%) – Benjamin Mendy (84%) – Andrew Robertson (72%) – Luke Shaw (40%) – Lee Peltier (36%)
Mohamed Salah (100%) – Richarlison (72%) – Sadio Mane (60%) – Bernardo Silva (60%) – Dale Stephens (56%)
Sergio Agüero (96%) – Marko Arnautovic (48%) – Joshua King (48%)

Goalkeepers:

Ben Hamer / Maarten Stekelenburg (24%), Rui Patricio (20%), David de Gea / Ederson (16%), Jordan Pickford / Artur Boruc (8%)

Most popular GK pairings:
1. Fabianski + Foster (24%)
2. Ederson + 4.0 (8%)
2. Patricio + 4.0 (8%)

All the other pairings are 4% or less.

Most people have opted for a pair of rotating 4.5 keepers with de Gea and Ederson (both 6.0) also proving popular as a nailed on route into their respective teams defences.

Defenders:

James Tomkins (32%), Matt Doherty (16%), Virgil van Dijk / Eric Bailly / David Luiz / Willy Boly / Jan Bednarek (12%), Seamus Coleman / Trent Alexander-Arnold / Jeffrey Schlupp / Cedric (8%)

Defence coverage (incl. GK):
Crystal Palace (144%), Man.City (100%), Liverpool (96%), Man.United (68%), Wolverhampton (52%), West Ham (44%), Everton (40%), Cardiff (36%), Watford (32%), Huddersfield (24%), Southampton (20%), Bournemouth/Chelsea (12%)

A huge amount of support for the Crystal Palace backline thanks to the 4.0 option Wan-Bissaka.

While most think he will start the season as 1st choice his teammates Tomkins (4.5) and the possible out of position Schlupp (4.5) are also proving popular.

Elsewhere, Robertson (6.0) seems the prefered choice for Liverpool cover while only Ederson (5.5) and Mendy (6.0) got selected for Man. City.

Midfielders:

Diogo Jota (36%), Tom Cairney / Riyad Mahrez / Alexis Sanchez (16%), Artur Masuaku (12%), Helder Costa / Aron Gunnarsson (8%)

Out of the choosen RMT’s apparently 100% of managers have picked Salah (13.0) with Richarlison (6.5) the favoured option out of the 6.5 price bracket.

After Guardiola’s comments B.Silva (7.5) seems to be the new Man.City flavour of the week while Stephens (4.5) is by far the prefered 5th midfielder option.

Forwards:

Wilfried Zaha (36%), Roberto Firmino (16%), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang / Aboubakar Kamara / Cenk Tosun (12%), Alexandre Lacazette (8%)

Agüero (11.0) seems now the clear favourite here after he was going head to head with Aubameyang earlier this pre-season.

Arnautovic (7.0) and King (6.5) prove also very popular amongst the recent rate my team’s.

Used formations:
1. 3-4-3 (68%)
2. 3-5-2 (12%)
2. 4-3-3 (12%)
4. 4-4-2 (8%)

While a few days ago the talk about different formations was at it’s peak it seems like the 3-4-3 is gaining it’s usually high support back.

A big reason for this is probably the lack of any playing 4.5 forwards.

    Cheers for this!

Couldn't get it out before the deadline unfortunately, but doesn't take away from your work.

Interesting to look back on that now, that team has scored very well! Similar to mine but better.

Tells the story of GW1 really

I saw a lot of people going for Patricio as first choice keeper, any Regrets? I went for DeGea as a safe hands option...

Heavier on defence is the way to break the template, like the guy (Bharat?) that almost won it last year.

Pretty much my team except I went for Maddinson over Richarlison and Costa over Stephens. Not good on one weeks evidence though Maddinson did plenty I liked.

I don't have Maddison yet but still think he'll end up highest scoring 6.5m end of season

Looking at Maddison after this week. I was impressed with him against Man U. Saw some one on here compare him as a replacement for Mahrez, but I think he's more like Payet.
