No Sanchez for United as Lukaku makes first start

Brighton and Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the late-afternoon match, with Alexis Sanchez‘s (£10.5m) omission from Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad the headline news.

The United boss confirmed the Chilean midfielder, the ninth-most captained player of Gameweek 2, misses the trip to Brighton through injury.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) gets his first league start of the season, as do Ashley Young (£6.0m) and Anthony Martial (£7.4m). Matteo Darmian (£5.0m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) make way.

Paul Pogba (£8.1m), the fifth-most bought player of Gameweek 2, captains United once more.

The Seagulls’ only two changes from the side that lost to Watford are in the full-back department: Bernardo and the injured Bruno being replaced by Gaetan Bong and debutant Martin Montoya (all £4.5m).

That Dale Stephens (£4.5m) is the most-owned Brighton player in FPL, sitting in 10% of squads, says much about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Seagulls this afternoon. Stephens is also the fifth-most benched player of Gameweek 2: over 84% of his owners have opted against playing the budget midfielder.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Propper, Stephens, Gross, March, Knockaert, Murray

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof; Shaw, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Martial, Mata, Lukaku

Used 2FT on Jota and King out for Mkhitaryan and Ings. No faith in those two for a -0.2 price drop.

    Is Zaha a must have?

Focal point for Palace, great fixtures. 7m seems a bargain.

Or is Ings a better option?

Depends - Zaha looks favourable but Ings frees up money to use elsewhere

    Begovic
    Mendy--Robertson- WB
    Mane-Hazard-Richarlison-Bilva
    Tosun-Aguero-Firmino

    Guendouzi--Fabianski-Tomkins- Daniels

Thinking about WC. Had to drop (Che)Odoi and Sanchez due to drops in price. But want Daniels out along with Tosun. And maybe even Bilva due to fear of rotation, and Mkhi looks awesome. Also want Auba for Aguero at some point, due to fear of rotation. Thoughts?

Whatever happened to waiting until all the games are played in case someone gets injured?

Does no one do that anymore? Surely it’s better to wait out price rises in case of injuries...

    My team is like this

    Alisson - (Hamer)
    Mendy - PvA - Bertrand - (Bissaka - Peltier)
    Salah - B.silva - Richarlison - Cairney - (Stephens)
    Aguero - firmino - arnautovic

As I have already done a transfer to get Richarlison for jota I have 1 more I can do and 1.9m ITB.
The question is if I shall do this:

    1. Bertrand to Alonso
    2. Bertrand - Cairney to Alonso and kante for -4 as Cairney is dropping by the end of the week
    3. Cairney to kante (or any other good midfielder)

My plan was that I was gonna get Kane once he started to score and become essential, but Aguero hattrick made me realise that Aguero is someone I shall keep untill he gets injured which leaves me with 1.9m to use as I lost 0.1 on not owning Richarlison before yesterday.
The best move is to get Alonso due to offensive returns, but once they have played a few games I think the cs will start to come aswell 🙂
And Bertrand was a really big mistake to get as they are bad defensively.
My GW 1 team had Robertson and kepa in goal, but as I wanted to have atleast 1.5m ITB for a possible Aguero to Kane switch I fell into the Bertrand trap instead 🙂

Any chance Hamer will continue to start? I could bench DDG for Spurs and save a hit!

Doubtful. I have same keepers and will just play DDG.

Don't expect spurs to score any more than 1.

Hamer hosts a goal shy Cardiff and United are looking shambolic in defence.

Having said that the last 3 fixtures at Old Trafford have been 1-0 to United.

Tough one but they will likely both blank.

David Silva has a very good record against the boys from geordie and if you strongly believe in Agüero this weekend then you can as well believe in David this weekend as well... The real Silva will go beast mode this weekend.
