Brighton and Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the late-afternoon match, with Alexis Sanchez‘s (£10.5m) omission from Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad the headline news.

The United boss confirmed the Chilean midfielder, the ninth-most captained player of Gameweek 2, misses the trip to Brighton through injury.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) gets his first league start of the season, as do Ashley Young (£6.0m) and Anthony Martial (£7.4m). Matteo Darmian (£5.0m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) make way.

Paul Pogba (£8.1m), the fifth-most bought player of Gameweek 2, captains United once more.

The Seagulls’ only two changes from the side that lost to Watford are in the full-back department: Bernardo and the injured Bruno being replaced by Gaetan Bong and debutant Martin Montoya (all £4.5m).

That Dale Stephens (£4.5m) is the most-owned Brighton player in FPL, sitting in 10% of squads, says much about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Seagulls this afternoon. Stephens is also the fifth-most benched player of Gameweek 2: over 84% of his owners have opted against playing the budget midfielder.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Propper, Stephens, Gross, March, Knockaert, Murray

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof; Shaw, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Martial, Mata, Lukaku

The media were writing Brighton off after one poor game. Fickle bastards.

I believe and hope Brighton stay up this season. Chris Hughton
has been a great manager for them.

Hi guys. Should I pull the trigger and rage wildcard this lot? Or how can I best use the 2FT? Any thoughts appreciated. 0.5 ITB.

    Foster

    Mendy, Robbo, TAA

    Salah, Eriksen, Bilva, Richarlison

    Aguero, Zaha, King

    (Fabianski, AWB, Schneiderlin, Peltier)

Looks like a great team and as you have 2 FT you can easily switch 3 players for a -4 instead of burning your WC.
King is one I would remove fast (I'm Norwegian and never really rated that guy and he was lucky to score alot 2 seasons ago). I think eriksen should get 1 more game unless you really want to get someone else for him.

No , keep the WC.. just do a tiny bit of mending. Save the WC if something drastic happens... let your imagination guess what would take a major rework to all our teams (or 50% of them)

Baily, Bednarek, Laca > Alonso, Mendy, Wilson for -8 looking imminent.

Just wondering if it makes sense to upgrade (to Alonso possibly) or downgrade to TAA or someone?

Sooo... who do we downgrade DDG to? 😀

Not one for today, but 6.0 is a lot for a holey defense.

Wondering the same atm, I think Mkhi is better value tbh. Arsenal have amazing fixtures and he seems their most creative player atm.

    Davies + Costa > Bennett + Mkhi worth a -4?
Want to avoid a price drop and I think Spurs concede in the next 3 (well maybe not against United)

Depends on what you gonna do with that 4.5 mid? Find another way to get Alonso in, agree on getting him, route just feels a bit knee jerky 😉
