Brighton and Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the late-afternoon match, with Alexis Sanchez‘s (£10.5m) omission from Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad the headline news.

The United boss confirmed the Chilean midfielder, the ninth-most captained player of Gameweek 2, misses the trip to Brighton through injury.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) gets his first league start of the season, as do Ashley Young (£6.0m) and Anthony Martial (£7.4m). Matteo Darmian (£5.0m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) make way.

Paul Pogba (£8.1m), the fifth-most bought player of Gameweek 2, captains United once more.

The Seagulls’ only two changes from the side that lost to Watford are in the full-back department: Bernardo and the injured Bruno being replaced by Gaetan Bong and debutant Martin Montoya (all £4.5m).

That Dale Stephens (£4.5m) is the most-owned Brighton player in FPL, sitting in 10% of squads, says much about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Seagulls this afternoon. Stephens is also the fifth-most benched player of Gameweek 2: over 84% of his owners have opted against playing the budget midfielder.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Propper, Stephens, Gross, March, Knockaert, Murray

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof; Shaw, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Martial, Mata, Lukaku

I dont normally ask for advice during a match, but any have thoughts on this?

I wanna do Lindelof to Alonso as my only free transfer this week, which I can JUST afford before Alonso rises,
but I also wanna get rid of Hudson Odoi, because if he goes down in price, and I have no money in the bank, I will literally be stuck with him.

    any ideas?

Pickle. Assuming H-O is on your bench each week, do just Alonso. You're not gonna want to play H-O's replacement anyway, so take the -0.1 if it come, and sort him out on wildcard

I transferred him out. Needed to catch a price rise for Mendy, though.

Calm down guys. Shaw’s shot was on target which was blocked by the defenders. Hence the assist

How can shaw get that assist and mendy not for the jesus goal such a joke and lack of consistency from fpl towers!

I think Mendy got the assist for Jesus' goal. But the one for Aguero's second goal was not given as it was a cross that bounced off the GK. If it was a shot that bounced off the GK then the assist would have counted. Check the rules

    Good moves?

    Jota to Richarlison
    Sanchez to Mhikhitaryah
Ralls to Maddison or someone else for a HIT, or keep

        Mkhi played 180 mins right?

        Mendy too played 180 mins
but looking at Pep benching Walker, will Mendy be next?

Disagree, was sceptical pre season but Sarri will attack. Think both Alonso and Haz will benefit. Shoot me down later but suspect Morata will too.

Alonso will be as far forward as he always has been imho

    They won 3-2.

Mendy contributed to Jesus' goal with the same intention and held the same goal threat as Shaw there

Not the same. Shaw's is defo an assist. No deflection. Hit it into the ground. FPL towers are right on this one.

If it was a shot that bounced off the GK then the assist would have counted. Check the rules and don't believe FPL Twitter - loads of times when FPL Twitter has given an assist which is later changed - they are there to generate interest - not give out points so tweet fast.
