The most captained and most transferred in player of Gameweek 2 will both be at the heart of the action as the latest round of matches draws to a close.

Sadio Mané (£9.7m) was snapped up by 487,000+ Fantasy Premier League managers after his brace against West Ham in Gameweek 1, and he is in the starting line-up tonight.

Liverpool face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park having won 2-1 on their last visit back in March. The events of that meeting bode well for Mané and the 54 percent owned Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) who both found the net.

Not surprisingly, the Egyptian is the most captained player in Gameweek 2, with 1.4 million managers handing him the armband.

Andrew Robertson (£6.0m), backed by 17 percent of Fantasy managers, also registered an assist during his last trip to Selhurst Park, as well as in Gameweek 1 of 2018/19.

There will also be much interest in the exploits of each side’s forwards tonight with Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) the second most-owned option in this encounter, his 35 percent following second only to Salah. Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m) is not far behind the Brazilian in third place with a backing of 31 percent.

After emerging as a fantastic budget option in Gameweek 1, Aaron Wan-Bissaka comes into his second match of the season now priced at £4.1m and in 22.5 percent of squads.

Tonight’s Monday night match should definitely have a big impact on the outcome of Gameweek 2.

CRYSTAL PALACE XI (4-4-2): Hennessey; van Aanholt, Sakho, Tomkins, Wan-Bissaka; Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic, Townsend; Zaha, Benteke.

LIVERPOOL XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Robertson, Gomez, van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold; Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

Best forward for GW3 only at 7.0m or less (hope to sell King before price drop):
    A) Zaha (watford)

    Bottomed

Trying to avoid hits as I took 23 last year and had my worst season in 10 years, have 2 FT but really keen to avoid King dropping.

What's the general consensus with hits, is it better to take them earlier in the season to avoid a price drop?

Is a -4 worth not losing -0.1 TV?

    1. FPL_WILDCARD
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 11 months ago

Same boat and would like to hear what other people think. I think I might just stick with King and avoid the -4

Does the drop prevent you doing a move that could make up the -4?

      1. ChuckN
        • 16 Years
        7 years, 11 months ago

No, it's more to free up extra funds (Ings) or switch formation to 4-4-2 (Kamara). Have Aguero + Arnie up top.

    3. MTPockets
      7 years, 11 months ago

Consensus would be don't bother for TV, but up to you and opinion of King's pts prospects.

    4. zes
      • 11 Years

How long's a piece of string? Don't avoid hits for the sake of avoiding them - if you think a -12 will get you more points in the next few GWs then go for it

      1. ChuckN
        • 16 Years
        7 years, 11 months ago

I guess last year I spent the whole season playing catchup on team value and really want to avoid that this year.

To answer your Q, I'm not convinced Ings, Mitrovic or Kamara (my targets) will outscore King over the next 4-5 gameweeks.

        1. zes
          • 11 Years
          7 years, 11 months ago

well to answer you directly - there is no consensus. I usually play safe but there were 2 points last year Itook a -12 and -16 and made points because of it. I wouldn't worry about TV though. Every year I've played I've been at least +1m and still my leagues are close.

Excuse me, can I get some help?

As I will do Ralls to Miki for -8, is this team okay or WC is needed?

    Hamer (Foster)
    Mendy Alonso Hoedt (Coleman WB)
    Salah Mahrez Miki Richarlison Fraser
    Aguero Tosun (Jimenez)

Did Bailly to Alonso and Eriksen to Richarlison already.

Not sure, would probably change the keeper, perhaps get Robbo for one week and then switch to Monreal, maybe PVA also. Only Mane would be there for Mahrez and Zaha in attack.

If you don't know what fancy play syndrome is in FPL, someone on Twitter with 3* top 20k finishes did Salah and Aguero out for a hit

Two great gameweeks so far. Probably time to sort some issues out though.
Any idea what to do with 2FT's here?

    De Gea
    Robertson - Mendy - Kabasele
    Salah - Mane - Richarlison - Jota
    Zaha - Aguero - Arnautovic

    Stekelenburg - Wan-Bissaka - Peltier - Cairney

Someone please explain why Salah is 13m and isn't on penalties and always repels bonus points?.
    Hes out.

Because he scored over 300 points on fantasy last year.

Record fpl score with only 1 successful pen and bp allergy

Im seriously also concerned with the performance - 13m requires him to be captain every week imo.. And he pretty much blocks for having 2 premium strikers.

this is exactly what is proving pivotal to my WC plans, i just can't believe how much better the team looks without Salah

True so true. But the problem is later on season with banks and dgw you need the free hit and wild cards.

Goin to be patient this year

I feel like Mitrovic has that Arnautovic swagger about him, arrogant and skillful, can make something out of nothing

I noticed that he took the armband once Cairney went off, has always had talent but seems to have matured a bit from his Newcastle days too

What was it that made him so poor for them? He got a red in his first game if I remember correctly, but he just seemed wild and crazed, always in trouble

Yeah he lacked a bit of discipline, I imagine part of it is that Rafa wants a striker who works selflessly for the team (which Rondon did well for WBA) but I think Toon should've stuck with him. Looks like Fulham will be a bit more attacking which surprisingly suits him and he can still play his target man style

King and Davies to Ings and Alonso for a hit? Am wary of Chelsea's leaky defence.

Got 2 FTs, what would you do?

    Bilva + King --> Mkhi + Zaha/Ings

    Or

    Bank 1 FT and:
    King --> Ings/Zaha

      B.
Hold on bilva to mikhi a week.
