The most captained and most transferred in player of Gameweek 2 will both be at the heart of the action as the latest round of matches draws to a close.

Sadio Mané (£9.7m) was snapped up by 487,000+ Fantasy Premier League managers after his brace against West Ham in Gameweek 1, and he is in the starting line-up tonight.

Liverpool face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park having won 2-1 on their last visit back in March. The events of that meeting bode well for Mané and the 54 percent owned Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) who both found the net.

Not surprisingly, the Egyptian is the most captained player in Gameweek 2, with 1.4 million managers handing him the armband.

Andrew Robertson (£6.0m), backed by 17 percent of Fantasy managers, also registered an assist during his last trip to Selhurst Park, as well as in Gameweek 1 of 2018/19.

There will also be much interest in the exploits of each side’s forwards tonight with Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) the second most-owned option in this encounter, his 35 percent following second only to Salah. Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m) is not far behind the Brazilian in third place with a backing of 31 percent.

After emerging as a fantastic budget option in Gameweek 1, Aaron Wan-Bissaka comes into his second match of the season now priced at £4.1m and in 22.5 percent of squads.

Tonight’s Monday night match should definitely have a big impact on the outcome of Gameweek 2.

CRYSTAL PALACE XI (4-4-2): Hennessey; van Aanholt, Sakho, Tomkins, Wan-Bissaka; Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic, Townsend; Zaha, Benteke.

LIVERPOOL XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Robertson, Gomez, van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold; Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

Yeah just noticed he is set to drop.
He is a perfect player for a wildcard.
Can be changed to any a lot of other players later on.
Great one to get should get bucket loads of chances and should start.

He may be benched precisely cuz he missed that sitter at the end of the game. Pep is merciless in that regard as he will systematically use internal competition to squeeze the best performance. Everyone has to hence always be on his toes. And looking at the overall team U have Dilva outstripping him of the central spot behind the striker(s) while Sane & Mahrez can outstrip him of the flank spot. This means Bilva may eventually have to play in one of the central midfield spots.. Having said that, I suspect Pep will still start him this gw and then bench him if he underperforms again. Also that 3-5-2 formation doesn’t suit him at all cuz he’s too wide & will instinctively drift towards the center of the park; so the chosen formation will inevitably affect him as well.. Laslty the bottom line is City’s squad is so ridiculously deep that all players are always at the mercy of in-house competition. 2 shitty games in succession and u surely lose ur spot unless ur KDB or Sterling where u’ll maybe get a couple more games to keep ur spot..

I have to disagree cuz Chelsea and Alonso are different beasts under Sarri. Plus his 2 assists & goal weren’t lucky at all. The penalty was flagrant and he earned it thru a magnificent run while his cross was sublime & flawless. His goal is duly deserved as it occurred against a top tier team with a semi-decent defense and was the product of an excellent run too. If the team was still coached by Conte, he would’ve gotten maybe the lone assist. He’s clearly thriving under Sarri and I suspect he will maintain that level especially with Hazard’s return who will create more space for him to delve into.. Lastly he’s in the middle of his prime and if he wants to be transferred to a Barca Real or PSG, its now or never for him so he’s at the peak of his motivation in my humble opinion..

Cheers. 167 points & 130k roughly atm, I only went for defenders from the top 6 this season and it's paid off so far, I felt Europe would affect burnley badly otherwise with their fixture list early on you'd think they'd have offered good value.

Have Kamara (vs Burnley H), Tomkins (vs Watford A) and Jota (vs City H)...

Please guys help me pick one of them to start in GW 3 and then who should be the first sub? Thanks!

Thoughts on the following using my 2 FT?

    Firmino + Eriksen ➡️ Aubameyang + Mkhitaryan
