Fantasy managers will be heavily reliant on the exploits of their Liverpool assets after a tough start to Gameweek 3.

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), the most captained player of the weekend, will be the key focal point while Sadio Mané (£9.8m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) should make a difference too.

Salah himself has 54 percent ownership while the other members of his front three are both backed by more than 30 percent.

There will also be hopes for another Liverpool clean sheet with Andrew Robertson (£6.0m), Virgil van Dijk (£6.0m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.0m) in 19, 18 and 16 percent of squads, respectively.

Liverpool are unchanged for a third Premier League match in succession, great news for Fantasy managers currently tripled-up on Jurgen Klopp’s extremely settled side.

Meanwhile, Pascal Groß (£6.9m) was named on the bench as Yves Bissouma (£5.0m) comes into the line-up to play just behind Glenn Murray (£6.5m)

There was one change in defence with Leon Balogun (£4.5m) coming in for Lewis Dunk (£4.5m).

LIVERPOOL XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Robertson, van Dijk, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold; Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

BRIGHTON XI (4-4-1-1): Ryan; Bong, Balogun, Duffy, Montoya; March, Propper, Stephens, Knockaert; Bissouma; Murray

    Couldn’t watch games today:

    1) how many bans for Richarlison?
    2) did Arnie injury look seriously?

      Probably 2 for PL

Looked like he jarred his knee by striking ground on a strong SOG. I may be wrong..

Cairney, Boly and AWB to cover. But I can imagine losing a lot of value over the international break, so looking to get rid.

You are seriously considering benching a player whom won't play until September 29th?
How much value do you think you'll lose on him, with all those wildcards flying around?

      1. Pep says
        • 11 Years
        8 years, 9 days ago

Wildcards don't contribute to price drops. Wan Bisako is very capable of covering Richarlison's place for the next 3 games until he returns, thus saving 1, maybe 2 transfers if you end up wanting him back. Could be a shred move. Can't see him dropping below 6.5m before he returns either

So the question on many manager’s minds today: who to replace richarlison with?

    Here’s 5 possibilities:

    1. Mkhitaryan- need to find a bit of money to upgrade, but excellent fixtures, in an attacking team, and has showed good form already this season. Slight risk of rotation though in a front line that is yet to settle.

    2. Pedro - two goals already, and in a strong attacking side with some excellent games coming up. Slight doubt over his place when Hazard returns to the starting xi.

    3. Maddison - brilliant record last season, and looks to be a key playmaker for Leicester. Will be missing vardy for the next two games though, which may hamper Leicester’s overall attack.

    4. Fraser - seems more nailed in the Bournemouth starting xi, and has started the season strongly. Always a risk that points get shared around in that Bournemouth attack.

    5. Walcott - in excellent form, and will take on even more responsibility in Evertons attack in the absence of richarlison. But has let us down so often in the past - can he be trusted?

That’s my top five - any other good options out there?

This is a decent shout. Quite a few - but not all of course - of those going for Wally seem like the same names I saw who all rushed for Richarlison this week and Aguero. Always points chasing.

Yeah he has passed the eye test at least - haven't really gotten into looking deeply at his stats.

Yep, but I also think the volatile transfer market has it's effects. There seems to be many more changes this year.

Disagree. Had Aguero and Rich from the start.

I want to have an EVE attacker for their next two fixtures. Would have kept Rich but he got sent off. So... Walcott makes sense and it’s not chasing points.

I like the idea of it, but look his next 2 fixtures. Brighton away and Man City away. Don't fancy those at all and I don't think it pays to plan too far ahead in fpl, as in buying now for gwk 6.

I was going to suggest Milner as well. At 5.5, could be an absolute bargain if he keeps getting minutes. But yeah the issue is the Liverpool slots, most people have 2 or 3 already and Milner would only complicate things if you want to get Mane/Salah/etc.

i might switch from a 352 to a 343 by swapping Rich to Leicesters Mendy (4,5) , then Ings who is only my first sub anyway to Zaha for a - 4 , that will then give me a Auba-Aguero-Zaha frontline leaving me 1.0 itb 🙂

      Mkhi and Fraser owner.

1m in the bank means it could be Bilva... but he seems to have gone right off the boil.

Maddison might be the one for me.

Walcott is nothing but a troll.

Pedro - I really question his game time once Hazard is truly back in the fold.

Lots of thinking to be done this week. Eyes on price changes.

      1. Licious Lizard
        • 13 Years

I wouldn't say right off the boil. He could easily have had an assist this GW if the team weren't so lacklustre/unlucky/bad day.

Maddison is interesting, but not sure if I trust Leiceister offensivey without Vardy tbh.

Walcott is a troll, but he could still do a decent job. Currently leaning towards him, but we have all just been burned so many times before.

Pedro is the option in this price bracket I think has the highest ceiling, but the game time is a big worry for me as well. Even if he starts, he's likely to be subbed for Willian I'm guessing.

I made vow to never get Walcott again (he and I have a long FF history)

If my team wasn't in such a state I'd actually just hold.

I like Pedro but only if he starts with Hazard

Pogba could be a slightly left field shout.

Or a formation change for one of our lovely premium defense options.

        • 13 Years

Haha most of us has some history with Feo I think, but sounds like you are adamant not going there.
Pogba could be a shout. Decent fixtures and I think people are overreacting a bit in saying they will avoid all and any ManU options. Can’t afford myself though, but would definitely consider him if I could.
Re: Pedro. Very good form and he seems to be favored over William. I am just very nervous he will be either be benched or be subbed on 60-70 mins every match. Is this a risk you are willing to take?

I think we need to see tomorrow's game to be sure, I'm actually leaning towards bringing in Alonso and playing 4-4-2 but a full 90 from Pedro could change my mind.

Pogba would possibly be my preference but like you I'm not sure how I'd bring him in.

Unfortunately it would be a -4 which is frustrating.

I think I'm gonna have to hold off making a move until we get an update on the Arnie injury anyway... He would be the second striker in my 4-4-2

Yeah if you are sure, you're not going for Theo anyway, you can might as well hold on.

FWIW I don't think Arnie's injury looked very serious, as he tried to play on for a little bit. Hopefully he'll be back next week, but let's wait for news.

Will he have a bigger part to play in their attacking play?

Or will Bernard step in and business as usual?

I at least think he is one of the "safest" bets of the replacements. Pedro higher ceiling, but not nailed. Mkhi with those fixtures as well looks good - but then again 1m more.
          Maddison... eh?

Not a lot of talk about Sessegnon at all. He could be a fun punt for 2 weeks, but haven't REALLY looked into him.

I've seen both of Fulham's games. Sessegnon has impressed me more than Mitrovic. In fact, I think he's a potential FPL jewel, who should have had more returns than he's got. His positioning was ahead of Mitrovic in GW 2.

Upgrading Richarlison to Hazard may work with BOU CDF next. All depends on todays match vs newC. Also we will get a look of newC defence before city match. As main reason to bring in Hazard will be captaincy vs Bou which will be moot point if Kun vs Neec works better

Considering doing PCS and Rich to Alonso and Fraser for -4. Either that or straight swap of Rich -> Pedro. Undecided which is the best option going to wait until after Chelsea game.

      Think I’ll just hold.

He’ll miss 2 league games but I’ve got Tomkins with 2 nice fixtures against Southampton (H) & Huddersfield (A) to cover him.

I’ll defiantly want him back so I’ll be burning 2 FTs to ship him out and back in, really want to bank 2 FTs for the international break.

Is it worth benching him if i bought him at 6.5?
worried if i take him out i wont afford to put him back in

I am going to see where Meyer plays for Palace today - could be an interesting differential if he plays in an attacking position

Meyer an interesting shout. if not Mili then Meyer might be he best way forward. Especially with their fixtures and Zaha looking keen.

Any chance Lookman comes in for Richarlison?

That would make my season. If Lookman became an Everton regular his ownership would rocket.

I would highly doubt this. Lookman is out of favour, due to his desire to leave for Germany. He has actually made the squad, but I fully expect Bernard to come in for Richarlison.

Just going to keep him, it's only 2 games and already have mkhitaryan and Fraser. Walcott and Madison have terrible underlying stats and Pedro is likely to play 60-70 mins each game.

Wan-bissaka off the bench for 2 nice fixtures, use my transfers for something decent as I'll want richarlison when he comes back and I don't think he'll drop too much in price

when we will transfer richarlison out ? wait for tomorrow?

Depends on when you got him and who you want. And of course whether you are willing to risk an early transfer with so many matches to play.

If you had him from the start, I'd say wait as long as possible. You can take 1 price fall without losing value.

Probably can wait 4-5 days if you had him from 6.5

He doesn’t look like he’s going down tonight as things stand so there’s time at least to look at how Chelsea line up.

He was very, very bad today. Poor touches, poor crosses, scared to go into 50/50s, or even 60/40s in his favour. I’d be looking to offload if I owned him.

I thought he played well in the first half, but looked gassed in the second. I believe he assisted on two assist.
