Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) leads the Manchester City attack for a third Premier League match in a row, much to the delight of his 46 percent ownership.

Only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) has more backing than the Argentinian ahead of Gameweek 3, and 22 percent of those who voted in our poll are putting the captain armband on him.

Generally speaking there was little to be worried about by Pep Guardiola’s rotation for today’s meeting with Wolves at Molineux.

The popular Benjamin Mendy (£6.3m) keeps his place at left-back after registering four assists in his first two appearances of the season.

In fact there is some excitment for the 11 percent in possession of Bernardo Silva (7.6m) as the Portuguese international will be deployed on the right-wing of a 4-3-3.

Raheem Sterling (£11.0m) earned an expected recall to the side, still backed by just three percent.

The three main options to miss out were Gabriel Jesus (£10.5m), John Stones (£5.5m) and Riyad Mahrez (£8.9m) as they were named only on the bench.

Set piece specialist Rúben Neves (£5.1m) remains the most popular of Wolves’ Fantasy options with none of his colleagues coming close to his 22 percent ownership.

With the suspension of Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.1m) and last week’s surprising absence for Lee Peltier (£4.0m), Wolves centre-back Ryan Bennett (£4.0m) remains one of just a few active defensive options from the very cheapest price bracket.

WOLVES XI (3-4-3): Patrício; Boly, Coady, Bennett; Jonny, Neves, Moutinho, Doherty; Jota, Jiménez, Costa.

MANCHESTER CITY XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Mendy, Laporte, Kompany, Walker; Fernandinho, Gündogan, D Silva; Sterling, Aguero, B Silva.

I am wondering if a few tweeks are in order. With a smaller group than the scoutcast maybe Munday should lead it. He has a touch more Brian Blessed in him than Joe. Not sure calm and organised should be the plan for the breakfast club.

Joe is an excellent James May. Munday is a reasonable Richard Hammond. Just need a Jeremy Clarkson to go with them, and that isnt Mark either for the record.

    Hi everyone.

Would you cheer for your vice captain to do well, when all your rivals have captained him?

If my VC does too well, my rivals will overtake me.
Yet if he returns 2 points, my global rank will fall.

Just wanted to float an idea out there and see what FFS thinks of it, prior to pulling the trigger myself.

Entering this season I have fairly consistently felt that triple City and triple Liverpool is more or less essential to a decent OR come the end of the season. However, with Pep already exhibiting his usual rotation policy in abundance, some players who otherwise be certainties to play are being left on the bench.

I'm wondering if a way around this would be to draft in Ilkay Gundogun as a third City player. Now, I know he hasn't contribute attacking points yet, but he seems nailed and - most importantly - doesn't have a massive amount of competition for his position right now. The key caveat behind this idea is that, even on the occasions where he IS rested... it's only £5.5m of your budget that is being rested. Despite his lack of returns so far, Gundogun has exhibited during City's two matches so far that he is still likely to return assist/goal points as a result of his late runs into the box and keen eye for decisive passes during intricate passing moves.

    Thoughts?

      • 9 Years
      7 years, 7 months ago

I think 2 City is sufficient (Mendy & Aguero).

Though yes I think 3 Liverpool is pretty essential (Robbo/TAA/VVD, Salah & Mane).

I get your idea though, I'd just prefer someone like Fraser over Gundogan.

This is my thinking behind having B Silva as a season keeper tbh

    3. Goalosaurus
      • 8 Years

I prefer Fraser but the gundog could do the business. Don't need much back from him to justify the 5.5.

Gundogan used to make late runs in to the box, I'm not 100% sure but now he seems to sit to prevent the counter more? Can watch the early game today to find out more. City will destroy teams though, and last season Fernandinho was getting goals and assist by virtue of playing in such a good team

Best 4.5 rotation with Foster. Currently on Patricio but Wolves look incapable of keeping a clean sheet. Might not be worth a FT but who are people thinking?
