My WC last week saved me a small fortune in drops. I’m hoping they will start to tail off as more WCs activate and more teams quit playing.

Haven't had any so far and I haven't taken a hit or used my WC. I have been making early transfers though - avoided Richarlison's, Davies' and King's price drops like that.

Avoiding price drops is a fools game. You'll end up doing it until GW14 before you realise your team needs a WC.

Take the rises and bear the drops if it keeps your overall squad strong.

I have the same 5 (surprise surprise) but I'm benching Wan-Bissaka. I don't rate Crystal Palace as much as others do here, and I think Southampton are more likely to score than the odds suggest.

For me, consider him by far the best 6.5m attacking midfielder, cos that's what he is. Goals, assists, free-kicks WITH the added bonus of potential CS points.

Look at Richarlison/Walcott/Pedro/Jota/Maddison in your midfield...all of them are inferior to what he offers.

So play 4-at-the-back, have Alonso take one of those mid-priced midfielder slots, put a steady 4.5m or 5.0m midfielder in instead of a 6.5m.

Job done.
