FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of international break

It’s that time of the week again when we give you the chance to put your questions to our panel of Fantasy Premier League managers.

However, the talking points shift a little bit this time as we head into the first international break of the season.

We’ve assembled another panel of three Fantasy managers this week and will be bringing you a different set for each Gameweek over the course of the season. They are here to answer any questions you might have relating to the international break.

You can find out what their answers are Monday.

Who’s on the panel this week?

James Egersdorff – You can’t get much more experienced than this man when it comes to FPL. After yet another season inside the top 5,000 managers in 2017/18, James now sits top of the Fantasy Football Scout ‘Hall of Fame’.

Tom from Who Got the Assist? – One half of one of the fastest growing FPL podcasts of recent times.

Holly Shand – Founder of the popular Fantasy Football Community website and recent video star for Official FPL.

can't believe xhaka starts for a top 6 team.
he is a terrible holding mid. he destroys attacks, but only of his own team. he constantly losses the ball, passes to the opponents, and cant defend if his life depended on it. he cost more than kante, but should play in beshiktash not the prem league.
how he starts ahead of torriera is a mystery.

    wenger in.

of course wenger in was a joke - but seriously - ramsey and toriera should start in the 2 of the 4-2-3-1. so obvious.

I agree but there might be pressure to hold off on Ramsey because of the contract dispute. I think he can negotiate a free in December?

Wenger bought Xhaka. And Auba after he’d already spunked a load on Lacazette. Put Ozil on a big contract, has never developed players like Bellerín. Walcott is the same player with the same flaws as when we bought him at 16. And nobody can say he didn’t spend. And on top of everything else, Wenger got the board to sell their shares to Kroenke thus ensuring the mediocrity of his US teams. Why? Because Kroenke is a good owner? No, because he knew he’d carry on getting 10 million quid a year with no pressure to win whereas Usmanov would have written off all the debt and given money for players but would have demanded success and would have fired Wenger for failure. Wenger never wanted that risk.

I notice Wenger isn’t in a job yet despite telling everybody how much demand he was in.

If Auba runs riot it will make things very interesting. I'm a non auba owner but think this will be his week to get a brace or hat trick.

The question after this match will be: auba or aguero?

    Anyone in accord?

aguero is always nailed even if auba gets four

I'll be sticking with aguero as well regardless. Season keeper unless he gets injured

Aguero. City will probably win the league, and will probably score the most goals, and it will probably be Aguero who gets the lions share... probably.

Kun is the better player in a better team. And Aub can be POO.

Wouldnt consider the swap unless rotation with Jesus gets too much.

1st half of Chelsea v 2nd half is the answer.

Xhaka is very underrated because of how terrible he is defensively.

So does Xhaka doesn't mean he's worth getting rid of a guy who was nailed and playing well.

Mkhi did well in one game. Not nailed, benched for a lot of preseason.

I though Mkhi was the second coming of Messi around here last week.

Xhaka is a defensive midfielder. Mkhi had good stats and Lucas Moura was about as nailed, had much worse stats, was crap apart from scoring once and played united away.

Just another 'told you so' post

Just had a look at stats comparison. Fair enough. Hadn't realised how great Mkhi's stats were. As an Arsenal having seen preseason I just couldnt see him keep his place given competition for places once Laca was going to start

Can't decide whether I want to spend my FT's bringing in Alonso (for Tomkins) or upgrading Bilva > Dilva.

On balance, what would you do?

    Fabianski
    Robertson Wan.B Mendy
    Salah Mane Mkhi Bilva
    Aguero Arny Wilson

    Foster Tompkins Cedric Stephens
    2 x FT - 0.4itb

    Cheers

Cheers. In which case, it can be Bilva > Fraser + Tomkins > Maddison for free?

Or a longer route to swap Bilva > Maddison but would mean a -8.

Smoooooth big balls move paid off, was at 46k and wilcarded, removed Salah and now sitting at 3k
I am on 72 points with Bellerin and Trippier still to play.

    Fabianski
    Trippier Bellerin Alonso Mendy
    Sterling Mane Hazard (c)
    Wilson Aguero Mitrovic

    Hamer Bissaka Guendouzi Gunnarsson
Thinking I should have gone Bennet instead of Wan biz and I actually had McCarthy in goal but changed to Fabianski but small problems.

All this Miki, Bilva, Sane, Willian nonsense is making the safe picks from lesser teams all the more attractive.

Maddison, Pereyra, Fraser, Serri, Schurrle etc. might not be as fashionable or explosive, but are more likely to be nailed on.

    1. Greenbackbøøg…

If Arsenal turn up then Mkhi's stock may take a decent hit. He's gonna need to do a Pedro here and hope he grabs returns when subbed on.
