Everton take on rock-bottom West Ham United in the penultimate match of Gameweek 5, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 16:00 BST.

Theo Walcott (£6.7m) was the second-most-sold Fantasy Premier League player of this round, with over a third of his owners ditching the Everton winger after he picked up an injury in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town a fortnight ago.

Walcott, however, has won his race to be fit for this afternoon’s match, along with defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye (£4.9m).

Richarlison (£6.6m), still the most-owned Everton outfield player in FPL despite his recent ban, sits out the last match of his suspension, while the injured Seamus Coleman (£5.3m) joins the lengthy list of players unavailable to Marco Silva for this afternoon’s encounter.

Jonjoe Kenny (£4.3m) – who recorded a clean sheet and an assist in this fixture last season – comes into the Everton starting XI in place of Coleman, with Tom Davies (£5.4m) making way for Gueye in the double-pivot.

Everton have yet to keep a clean sheet this season, but Jordan Pickford (£5.4m) remains the fourth-most-popular goalkeeper in FPL in spite of this.

Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) is the most-owned player on show on either side at Goodison, with the Austrian having scored both of West Ham’s Premier League goals this season.

The Hammers’ poor defensive record of ten goals conceded and no clean sheets has influenced over half a million FPL managers’ selections between the sticks: 70.8% of Lukasz Fabianski‘s (£4.5m) owners have benched the Polish shot-stopper this week.

Manuel Pellegrini has made six changes to the side that lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks ago, including the recall of Pablo Zabaleta (£4.3m) and Arthur Masuaku (£4.5m) at full-back.

Pellegrini has seemingly switched from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3, with Mark Noble (£4.9m), Declan Rice (£4.4m) and Pedro Obiang (£4.4m) the all-new central midfield three. The injured Jack Wilshere (£4.9m) is among those to make way.

Andriy Yarmolenko (£6.8m) gets his first Premier League start in a front three alongside Felipe Anderson (£6.9m) and Arnautovic.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Digne, Zouma, Holgate, Kenny; Schneiderlin, Gueye; Calvert-Lewin, Sigurdsson, Walcott; Tosun.

West Ham United XI (4-3-3): Fabianski; Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Noble, Rice, Obiang; Yarmolenko, Arnautovic, Felipe Anderson

Kante to Richarlison for a hit worth it?

Rich would be replacing AWB in starting lineup.

Not a great score for a Wildcard team, but at least I left myself just enough cash to be able to afford to get in Fraser for Neves.

I have a luxury problem next GW, to many options and don't know ho to put on the bench besides Patricio or Hojbjerg.

    Patricio(City A) Foster(Fullham A)

    Mendy(Car A) Alonso( WHU A) Pereira(Huds H) AWB(New H) Shaw(Wol H)

    Salah(Sou H) Mane(Sou H) Bilva(Car A) Fraser(Bur A) Hojbjerg( Liv A)

Aguero (CAR A) Mitrovic ( Wat H) Wilson( Bur A)

So please help me bench two of these together with Patricio and Hojbjerg. I am thinking Bilva because of rotation risk and one of Wilson and Fraser and play with 5 defenders, Thoughts?

      Pickford
      TAA, Mendy, Alonso
      Fraser, Lucas, Haz, Salah
      Aguero, Jimenez, Zaha
(Speroni, AWB, Kaba, Odoi) 0.7 ITB 2 FT

Very good week of around 85 points.
      A) Pickford to 4.5 maybe patricio or Foster and then Odoi to a 5-5.5 mid.
      B) Pickford upgrade
      C) Kabasele to shaw?

Might want to do a move early (tonight, possibly?) on this:

      . Salah > Hazard (free)
      or
      - Auba/Walcott > Mitrović/Hazard (-4)?

      1. StayoutheSpiceZone

Leaning towards that. Could also wait and see about Agüero injury, and do Agüero/Walcott > Mitrović/Hazard.

Big gaping holes in your 11 is potentially much, much worse than the odd price rise here and there.

Of course, but as things stand, a couple of price rises on Hazard, and price drops on Walcott/Auba, and I won't be able to do the move.

      Down to these options:

      1) Wally to Maddison

Next week would be Pedro to Richa

I was convinced Richarlison would be my next transfer but now have Arnie to deal with...

Which goalkeeper pair would you go for, on wildcard?
I'm considering Hennessey Patricio Foster, but already own Wan and Bennett.

£5.5m in bank, initial plan was Tosun to Kane, but now having second thoughts and debating between Kane, Lukaku and Aguero? Who do you guys prefer?

Kun (if fit), then Luk, then Kane

Is Zaha or Mitrović the better option looking at form/fixtures? Can afford one of them.

                Bit of a Lazy Question.

Stats say one thing. Eye test says one thing. Then form. Fixtures play a part. Depends on who else you have, formation, etc. Transfer plans play a part too. Then there's your ML rival. Do you need the cash? Who are you downgrading?

                    B. Although Id consider Schmeichel or Patricio, Fabianski et al to get nearer Ings, Wilson or Fraser.

Having an absolute nightmare of a season so far. Can't believe I am in the top 40% of players. There must be so many who enter a team and forget about it, or so many who know very little about football, or so many bad game players. 🙂
