There are six Premier League matches kicking off at 15:00 BST this afternoon and there is huge relief for the owners of – and those who captained – Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Sergio Aguero (£11.4m), Roberto Firmino (£9.4m) and Sadio Mane (£10.0m): all four start for their respective clubs.

Aguero was handed the armband by just over 1.5 million Fantasy Premier League bosses for Manchester City’s Gameweek 6 encounter with Cardiff City, while Salah was himself trusted with the captaincy by over a million FPL managers.

Despite being the most popular captaincy choices for the weekend’s matches, both players were among the five most-sold players of this Gameweek: 374,021 FPL bosses lost faith in Salah, while 177,646 of us ditched Aguero.

There was also good news for those who own Luke Shaw (£5.1m), with the United left-back starting ahead of Ashley Young (£5.8m).

However, those who own David Silva (£8.6m) will be disappointed to see the Spanish midfielder relegated to the bench for City’s trip to South Wales.

Fabian Delph (£5.3m) plays at left-back in Benjamin Mendy‘s (£6.4m) absence, while there are also starts for Leroy Sane (£9.2m), Bernardo Silva (£7.5m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.0m).

Xherdan Shaqiri (£7.1m) gets his first Liverpool start alongside Mane, Salah and Firmino, with James Milner (£5.7m) dropping out. Joel Matip (£4.9m) takes Joe Gomez‘s (£5.1m) place at centre-back, meanwhile.

Neil Warnock has changed his full-backs for the visit of Manchester City, while Mark Hughes’ Saints side looks defensive in nature for the trip to Anfield.

Elsewhere, Ricardo Pereira (£5.1m) misses out for Leicester City and Kenedy (£5.0m) returns to the Newcastle United side.

Burnley XI: Hart; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Lennon, Westwood, Cork, Gudmundsson; Vydra, Vokes

Bournemouth XI: Begovic; Smith, Cook, Ake, Rico; Brooks, Surman, Lerma, Fraser; King, Wilson.

Cardiff City XI: Etheridge; Peltier, Morrison, Ecuele Manga, Cunningham; Camarasa, Arter, Ralls, Hoilett; Reid, Ward

Manchester City XI: Ederson; Walker, Laporte, Otamendi, Delph; Gundogan, Fernandinho; Bernardo, Sane, Sterling, Aguero

Crystal Palace XI: Hennessey; Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, Van Aanholt; Kouyate, Milivojevic, McArthur; Townsend, Ayew, Zaha

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka; Yedlin, Lascelles, Fernandez, Dummett; Shelvey, Diame, Ritchie, Kenedy; Perez, Rondon

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel; Chilwell, Evans, Maguire, Amartey; Ghezzal, Mendy, Ndidi, Maddison; Iheanacho, Vardy

Huddersfield Town XI: Lossl; Kongolo, Zanka, Schindler; Durm, Billing, Mooy, Lowe; van La Parra, Kachunga; Depoitre

Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Shaqiri; Salah, Mane, Firmino

Southampton XI: McCarthy; Vestergaard, Hoedt, Bertrand; Soares, Hojbjerg, Romeu, Lemina, Targett; Redmond, Long

Manchester United XI: De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw; Fellaini, Fred, Pogba; Lingard, Sanchez, Lukaku

Foolish I think. 1 "decent" sub means you have slight rotation rather than guaranteed being stuck with a 1 or 2 pointer.

Going to become even more important when real rotation/injuries kick in.

In all fairness, Pedro is about to drop. Wouldn't make Richarlison unobtainable; but if he waits, Maddison would be.

I personally prefer Richarlison. The set pieces have been a big help for Maddison, but I do still feel he's getting lucky. Obviously the placement for this weeks FK goal was all him, for example, but Lossl's positioning was all wrong.

Would be relatively happy with either though 🙂

The whole Maddison is lucky / sucks is hilarious.

Have you watched Leicester? All their play goes through him. He could have had multiple more assists this season (see Vardy's chance today), which is epic for a mid option at 6.7m

Thinking about making the following switches. Opinions?

    Schurrle & Wilson ---> Richarlison & Jimenez

Making the trade only to bring in Richie

Don't rate Jimenez at all really. Never scored more than 7 league goals per season. In a great Wolves side, but he's such a poor finisher despite all the creative talents behind him.

Guys have been vacationing in USA and have been out of sync with the timings of the games and deadlines. Just saw that Mendy has a foot injury and unknown return date. When did this happen and should we get rid of him if it is a long term absence.

    Bilva - 14
    Bavies - 0
    Walcott - tbc
    To
    Hjojberg - 2

I did it all early, before Mendy as an issue as had exact money. Accepted the risk to get hazard but without getting rid of Salah, at least that was partly justified against using him as makeweight.

If Salah's 1st 6 GW's are anything to go by, he should score about 20 goals & get about 12 assists. Decent but I guess 13 million is hard to justify. I don't think there's much in the way of other premium players to get atm. Liverpools next 3 fixtures are better than Chelseas IMO.

    1. DivocksHighSocks
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 1 day ago

This is the thing, he isn't doing the business yet, but a combination of a lack of really convincing premium alternatives (I also have Hazard), his underlying stats, and some good mid priced mids making him affordable mean that I'm going to persist with him for a fair while longer.

Only if one of the above situation changes would I consider selling.
