Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) is expected to be the favourite for the captain debate in Gameweek 7.

We’ve started our poll to ascertain what the Fantasy Football Scout community are thinking for the next round of matches.

With Chelsea and Liverpool going head-to-head on Saturday afternoon, options such as Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) and Eden Hazard (£11.0m) are unlikely to score well in the upcoming vote.

That may mean that Harry Kane (£12.4m) and Romelu Lukaku (£11.1m) receive more attention than usual.

Both strikers have favourable fixtures, against Huddersfield and West Ham respectively, and have found some form in recent weeks.

Differentials may well be found at Goodison Park with Richarlison (£6.6m) the likeliest to take advantage of Fulham’s defensive frailties.

However, Everton’s back-line has been almost as poor as the Cottagers’ in 2018/19, opening the door for Aleksandar Mitrovic (£7.0m) to get a look in too.

Make sure you vote in the poll and watch our latest video analysing the Gameweek 7 captaincy debate.

Anyone that watched the Arsenal game - how did Ramsey look? Worth bringing in for the next two games (WAT ful) as a makeweight for Kane?

Poor, as did most of the side.
      Wouldn't go near him

He looked ok. Could have scored instead of assisted Arsenals 2nd.

Wasn't too impressed - lost the ball quite a bit. Stayed composed to find Laca but it was hardly put on a plate, imagine the xA for that would've been quite low. Obviously other goal was offside so quite fortunate.

One thing I noticed was Auba staying left + Laca drifting wide right at times, so not sure if Emery has given license to either him or Ozil to break forward into the CF position when they do so... but even if he has, they didn't do it much!

His average position was the furthest forward out of any Arsenal player. Being relatively nailed and in a CAM position unoike last year certainly makes him a great cheap way into the Arsenal attack. I personally already had him, but I would expect more frequent blanks than returns.

When would you start to be worried about TV?
I fall behind on TV every season and luckily I know it’s point over pounds etc. I still can’t remember being 1-1.5m behind a lot of here after only 6 GWs...
TV 101.9, but seen some with 103.5 already.

Never. There's always a cheap option or 2 than score just as well or better than more expensive template options

Yeah this is true - especially this season.
Still a higher TV should be able to field better players

But a WC worth £104 is obviously more likely to afford a better combination of players...

As I always say, if you have the right players in, TV will take care of itself.

          Time for a paradigm shift.

Undeniable that it's important for WC2 around DGW time though, i agree to an extent....I'm doing ok for rank (so relatively "right players") but my TV sucks..

Free hit is still limited by team value. Cash is important.

If there's one week where team value is unimportant it's surely when one uses the free hit. You don't need a bench that week at all.

but last years most optimum strategy seemed to be, navigate blank 31 with transfers, wildcard straight after to load up on double-doublers then free hit in GW35 (which proved pointless as Salah mega hauled and everyone else failed)

I'm 102.9 after last night's moves. This is despite a 0.2 fall on Bavies (since sold) and 0.1 on Kamara. It's largely just due to making early transfers, not afraid of a few hits early to help build TV as think it helps with a strong end to the season. Had a mixed start though and would certainly have more points if I'd been less transfer happy. Lots of ways to play the game though 🙂

Yep, I’ve had a few fallers as well in Salah, Mendy, Hudson-Odoi etc.
Besides that, I don’t get it. Have been fairly early on transfers and Also talen 2 hits

Yes, your selling value is much lower than your TV.
You can check your SV by going to the transfer page and “selling” all your 15 players and see what you have ItB= selling value

I do agree and I’m always way behind of most on here in terms of TV.
Just curious of how people have already accumulated a TV of 103,5 on here

        1. Pinturicchio10
          7 years, 10 months ago

Just a case of either starting with, or early purchasing, all the biggest risers so far. 103.5 is quite high though. Fair play if that's achieved on top of a solid rank.

I've a team value of 103.7, but i have took a few hits along the way (-24) i think it's worth it and here is the reasons why.

1,Come the end of the season i always have a very good bench boost for the double game week.

      2, Solid team early on.

Not sure how better team value translates to points when bench boosting. The most unnecessary chip imo. I think you've already lost more points on hits that team value when bench boosting will win for you. Agree on point 2 if your team needs early wildcard

I have 103.0, but this include the Mendy double drop (I am still holding him). Rank 30k.

I guess early season I focus on value trades when undecided between equally good players eg. last week I ditched Mkhi and could have got Richarlison or Fraser. But I chose the latter because I knew it would give me a double riser.

I am also usually not afraid of early transfers (happy to take the odd hit here or there)

      I prefer Jiminez.
Wolves look by far the better side and even though both teams have only scored 6 goals, Wolves has faced tougher opponents and look like they will improve their goal ratio.
He also passes the eye test and have been slightly unlucky not to have gotten more returns.

He was also still on the pitch when Neves took their first one.

Yeah, the problem is they're both great value. Ings absolutely trashes Jiminez stats-wise, both are nailed-if-fit but Jiminez has better fixtures atm. I'm not sure it's worth a transfer between the two but on a WC it's a tough choice.

Question for D.Silva owners... If he starts this weekend it could be a massive haul vs Brighton this week.
Are owners considering shipping him , waiting to see if he plays midweek or keeping him no matter what?
I'm thinking of giving him another chance this weekend, regardless of what happens midweek.

    Ederson/Hamer
    Alonso/Robertson/AWB/Bennett/Duffy
    Hazard/Maddison/Richarlison/Fraser/Salah
    Aguero/Mitrovic/Jiminez

Requires a hit (mendy&ings&mane) to get before being priced out.

    1. BigBarn
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 8 Years

Can you do it without a hit and keep Ings for Jiminez? Also, if this is for long-term, are you sure you want to lose value on Mane?

      1. diabydoesgallas
        • 12 Years
        7 years, 10 months ago

No and no, unfortunately. Need the 0.1 from Ings to Jiminez to make it happen. And has to be done for a hit or else I’d be priced out. Only way to avoid is if mendy doesn’t drop again so monitoring that.

I’ve decided to go Salah long term over mane just because he offers such a nice captain option any time Liverpool have a good fixture, so not too worried about losing the mane value.

Yup, just a bit worried about Dilva not playing again.

At least he’s had his rest now, I’d imagine he’s good for next week

Maddison. Not much in it so would choose the player at home.

GTG? And would you bench Robertson for Bennet?
    0 FT
    0.3 ITB

    Ryan
    Alonso - Robertson - Trippier
    Salah - Hazard - D. Silva - Richarlison - Fraser
    Agüero - Jiménez

    (Button, Bennet, Wan-Bissaka, Succes)

Any views on taking out Walcott or Pedro for Richarlison?

If pedro is fit he’ll play pool - tough game.
Walcott has easier fixture but then I’d be doubling up on Everton...

If you’re playing both then I’d shift Pedro.

    Best Mendy replacement?

    Trippier?

    Bellerin / Monreal?

    Laporte?

    Cheers

Cheers mate! I think I’ll get rid of Mendy for now... I am try to choose between Trippier or Arsenal defender (Monreal or Bellerin)

I'd gamble on Trippier as if rotated WanBis is sitting ready & waiting

Love to get Laporte but something tells me he is going to get benched soon, tempted by Monreal

I went Doherty to free up cash to bring in Richarlison. Out of those I don't know as rotation is becoming an issue.
