Harry Kane (£12.5m) is already the runaway leader of our Gameweek 8 captain poll, but do those currently not in possession of the Spurs forward need to sign him?

That is the big question on the minds of many Fantasy Premier League managers this week, especially with Liverpool and Manchester City options potentially cancelling each other out.

We’ve gone over some of Kane’s numbers from the first seven Gameweeks and compared them with how he was faring 12 months ago, to see if it’s worth selling the likes of Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) or Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) to get him in.

          He said nothing. Reliable media report the reasoning for not starting David Silva against Cardiff was a reluctance to play him 3 times in 7 days.

          I think this is 100% true, but that there are other factors playing in. Factors such as Cardiff being awful, City playing the CL game on a Wednesday, City playing away and possibly the desire to play Foden with the experienced Silva in the league cup.

      Problem is that we don't know what the deal with Mendy is, and Fraser is about to have an ugly fixture turn...planning 3 GWs ahead never usually goes to plan.
