Aside from all the talk about Harry Kane, there are still several differential options available in Gameweek 8.

We’ve picked out three more players owned by less than 5% of Fantasy Premier League managers who can help propel you up the overall rankings.

This week we are turning to assets at Leicester City, Wolves and Manchester United.

Jamie Vardy (£8.9m)

Ownership: 4.8%

A Gameweek 2 sending off and the success of James Maddison (£6.9m) has hit Jamie Vardy‘s (£8.9m) ownership hard in the early part of 2018/19. But the Leicester City man is still a great option to own for Gameweek 8.

In the last four Gameweeks, only four players have registered more shots on target than Vardy. He also ranks joint-third for shots inside the box and is still on penalties for Leicester City.

His next opponents are an Everton side still with just one clean sheet to their name in 2018/19. Vardy is especially fond of the Toffees having scored four times and assisted twice in his last five Premier League matches against them. In that run, he has won two penalties, scoring two himself.

Vardy looks like a good option for long-term investment too with Arsenal (away), West Ham (home), Cardiff (away), Burnley (home) and Brighton (away) also coming up in the next six Gameweeks.

Adama Traoré (£5.5m)

Ownership: 0.6%

Adama Traoré (£5.5m) may not have started a match for Wolves yet, but he is certainly pushing for one. The rapid winger has promised attacking returns if he can get some more minutes on the pitch.

In the last four Gameweeks, Traore has managed five shots on target, the same as Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) and Mohamed Salah (£12.9m). He has achieved that in a fraction of the minutes, registering just 105 to Aguero’s 271 and Salah’s 317.

Wolves go to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace in Gameweek 8 and look like they will have plenty of opportunities to score. Only two sides have allowed more chances considered to be ‘big’ by Opta in home matches than Palace this season.

Chris Smalling (£5.8m)

Ownership: 2.2%

Any Manchester United player is going to be considered a differential for Gameweek 8 after their surprise defeat to West Ham last week.

However, the nature of their upcoming fixture demands some attention from Fantasy managers.

Newcastle United come to Old Trafford with just one away goal to their name this season. Furthermore, they have the lowest shot tally on the road in 2018/19 and are in the bottom efforts on target too.

A clean sheet looks on for Chris Smalling (£5.8m) and his United colleagues, and the centre-back promises some attacking threat too.

The Magpies are in the bottom three for set play attempts allowed away from home so far this season, and Smalling has already found the net once in 2018/19.

Who thinks Vardy is likely to outscore Arnie in next few gameweeks?

Trying to justify bringing Vardy in for a hit via Zaha and Robbo > Vardy and Bennett, with Shaw becoming TAA next week. Or I could just stick with my original plan and go Zaha > Arnie for free?

    Team as it stands:
    Hart (Henn)
    Alonso, WB, Shaw (Robbo, Doherty)
Haz (c), Salah, Rich, Fraser (Hojberg)
    Zaha, Aguero, Mitro

They do for now. I would be wary myself. Mendy looks a machine when back and no easy route to him. I am looking at Mendy - TAA - Robbo - Doherty - AWB (currently own Trip over Mendy and Alosno over TAA).

I think I will play the fixtures with the big 4 owning 3 of any 4 at any one time and not give a hoot about price rises.

Owning Kane and Salah both cannot be a good choice in the end right? So much cash tied up in 2 players and you can only captain one.

Bottomed on previous page. Really tempted by Salah & Ings > Madison & (C) Kane. All thoughts/advice gratefully received:

    Reasoning:
I can keep Kun in my squad
Madison could be the next Michu, is at home to Everton and is feeding a quality striker
Salah struggling for form; snatching at chances ATM and has Man City next. Would I captain Salah over Kane v Cardiff or Kun v Burnley? I lose no value if I decide to bring him back GW10 for Cardiff at home.
    Ings has Chelsea next.
Kane seems to getting his confidence back; finding the net again and has Cardiff next and my rival doesn't have him

    Downside:
No Hazard but my rival does
Move would be for 2 GWs and Salah has Huddersfield away GW9

    Fabianski
    Tripper, Alonso, Boly, Wan-Bissaka
    Richarlison, Madison, Mane
    Agüero, Kane(C), Arnautovic
    Foster, Robertson, Neves, Cairney

    1. Jafalad
      • 16 Years

      Madison yes, Kane no.

Kane is not worth the 12.5 outlay esp with the unappealing stats. Doubt he will even get that much gametime v Cardiff anyway given Poch's rot policy.

Thanks, guess it's a question of whether Kane i( who I don't think will be benched, is a better pick than Ings, who has Chelsea away. Then an educated gamble that a tired and not at his best Salah will do much more than Madison

      - personally wouldn't rush kdb in until he's properly returned and is showing form.
      - i'd have a 2nd keeper (4.5) not hamer, if you're going ryan then at least have the brighton back up keeper
      - otherwise looks bloody great mate

Going round in circles here. £1.0m itb - what to do?

    a> Holebas -> Maguire (don't need double-Watford defence)
b> Wilson -> Arnie (Fraser gives me enough Bournemouth cover)
    c> Do nothing this week

    Patricio, Foster
    Alonso, Trippier, Robertson, Holebas, WBissaka
    Hazard, Mane, Fraser, Richarlison, Billing
    Aguero, Vardy, Wilson

    thanks 🙂

      B. Watford defense is underestimated. Tied for third with Liverpool to concede the fewest shots on target.

Aubameyang > Kane using FT, also have Aguero and Bilva.

Which combo would you choose to make it possible (-4)?

    A) Maddison + Robertson

    B) Mane + Holebas

Would you bring in Son for Dilva?
Or is there another player I should consider in the 8.5 bracket? Already own Rich & Maddison

Son, Ramsey, Sterling, Richarlison ( Knockaert)
    Kane ( c) , vardy, Arnautovic

I am not sure Ramsey will start. He would be a concern for me. But I may risk starting him anyway (he is starting for my draft team).

How can Salah’s ownership have fallen around 15% and price only fallen by .1m? If he starts scoring and ownership rises I am sure his price will not just go up .1m for 15% rise in ownership!
