Paul Pogba (£8.1m) will be the Fantasy Premier League focus of Saturday’s late kick-off, amid rumours over manager Jose Mourinho’s future.

The Manchester United midfielder is the most popular player in the fixture as Newcastle United visit Old Trafford. He is currently in 14.7% of squads.

He recently overtook Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) whose ownership suffered from the switch to Harry Kane (£12.5m) for Gameweek 8, who blanked in a 1-0 win over Cardiff.

Meanwhile, there will be interest in the Man United defence with Newcastle’s recent struggles in front of goal.

David De Gea (£5.9m) remains the most fashionable Red Devil defensive asset, in 19.8% of squads, but Luke Shaw (£5.1m) may prove the more effective.

He has 10.5% backing from the Fantasy community and looks like he could also pull in some attacking returns.

Newcastle are still a club for the Fantasy hipsters, with no player boasting more than Joselu‘s (£5.0m) 4.8%. However, the striker has not started the match with Ayoze Pérez (£6.1m) and Yoshinori Muto (£5.7m) preferred up front.

MANCHESTER UNITED XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Shaw, Smalling, Bailly, Young; Matic, McTominay; Martial, Pogba, Rashford; Lukaku

NEWCASTLE UNITED XI (4-4-2): Dubravka; Manquillo, Fernandez, Lascelles, Yedlin; Kenedy, Diamé, Shelvey, Ritchie; Pérez, Muto.

My name is Jawahar Dhingra from Kerala. I have been a staunch supporter of Manchester United ever since Alex Ferguson won his first PL title at the club. I must regrettably inform you all that today, I am switching allegiance to Manchester City, as I love Pep Guardiola. Mourinho sucks!

You're switching clubs because you don't like a manager? Because a team isn't winning? To a team from the same city who are winning? And a team you started supporting because they were winning?

I know this will get me a ban but you sir, are the supporters that truly suck in football. Just don't support a team.

Okayyy, DDG defo has to go, probably even for a hit at this rate considering I can't see my self not having another move worth doing in the next few weeks.

    Best keeper in?

    DDG
Alonso, Robbo, Doherty, AWB, Peltier (who is 3rd sub and never needed)

I don't know that i'd be hasty - damage done this week and no idea what's going to happen on Monday. He's still a world-class keeper and may have an inspired defense in front of him by next weekend.

Chelsea away, fixtures aren't great. Are you saying you wouldn't sell or not for a hit? Only would be for a hit as I want Salah back in as well and can't see myself doing it for free in GW10 as I'll likely need to make another move then.

I thought it was wise to hang on to Shaw as he has been picking up points anyway and will soon be under a new manager. I still think this. Man United players will be gold soon.

This Manutd vs NewC match shows stats go out of the room many times. NewC Lowest shots tally in top flight my *** 2-0 and ready to go on.

Doesn’t really matter whether José gets sacked or not as long as the board remains. Definitely not a Utd fan but I have lots of respect for Alex Ferguson. They’re taking a huge dump on his legacy.

yeah, totally agree with this. Woodward was responsible (along with board) for Moyes and LVG as well - not a great string of decisions in his position.

Not saying the board are perfect, but they have provided funds to buy big name players that Mourinho presumably wanted but who have been made look decidedly ordinary.
Put a fork in him, Jose is done.
