Everton take on Crystal Palace at 16:00 BST in the day’s only match in the English top-flight.

The headline team news concerns one “out-of-position” midfielder playing up top and a recently reclassified Fantasy Premier League forward who seems to be back in a more central role after a spell out wide.

Richarlison (£6.8m) was the third-most-bought FPL midfielder of Gameweek 9 and for the second league match running the Brazilian will line up as the spearhead of the Everton attack, with Bernard (£5.9m), Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.4m) and Theo Walcott (£6.5m) playing just behind him.

Andre Gomes (£5.4m) makes his first Everton start in central midfield, while there is also a return from injury for Seamus Coleman (£5.2m) at right-back. Tom Davies (£5.3m) and Jonjoe Kenny (£4.3m) are the men to make way.

Crystal Palace’s team news announcement suggests Wilfried Zaha (£6.9m) will – as he was against Wolves in Gameweek 8 – be back in a striker’s role again today, either alongside Andros Townsend (£5.8m) in a 4-4-2 or as the spearhead of a 4-3-3 flanked by Townsend and Jeffrey Schlupp (£4.5m). Jordan Ayew (£5.8m) misses out as Roy Hodgson recalls Cheikhou Kouyate (£4.8m) to central midfield in his only change.

Zaha had been a slight doubt for this match but has passed a fitness test on his adductor problem.

Two names returning from injury make the bench today: Yerry Mina (£5.4m) for the hosts and Connor Wickham (£4.9m) for the visitors.

Having scored four league goals in as many matches, Sigurdsson is one of FPL’s form players. Eden Hazard (£11.4m)  was the only midfielder to have been bought by more Fantasy bosses than Sigurdsson ahead of Gameweek 9.

The Icelandic midfielder also scored in this fixture last season, which ended in a 3-1 win for the hosts.

Zaha was the most-sold FPL forward of this Gameweek but the Ivorian forward has delivered an attacking return (three goals, one assist) in every one of Palace’s four away league matches this season.

Everton XI: Pickford; Coleman, Zouma, Keane, Digne; Gueye, Gomes; Walcott, Sigurdsson, Bernard; Richarlison.

Crystal Palace XI: Hennessey; Van Aanholt, Tomkins, Sakho, Wan-Bissaka; Schlupp, Kouyate, Milivojevic, McArthur; Townsend, Zaha.

May as well play Hennessy next game, taking the -4 and ryan getting a clean sheet is = to just sticking with Hennessy for one more week and him not getting a clean sheet, and he still could. Waiting is a free roll imo

Can anyone give me a Yay or Nay on the H/A rotation idea below??

    1) Camarasa Reid - Cardiff

    WOLVES (1) LEICESTER (2) BRIGHTON (2) LEICESTER (1) WOLVES (2) CRYSTAL PALACE (2) SOUTHAMPTON (1)

Rest of my team is below made up as Lpool Chelsea and Man City mainly which I would place as keepers week in and out

A 4m defender for a moderately strong defensive side with a small attacking upside and the ability to pick up bonus points. Seems odd to take a player like that out. Admittedly I have never seen him as more than a 5th defender.

I now understand the format of the question. I think Mendy is probably the best single move, just because he's a such a great pick, but I'd probably rather save or take a hit in your position. Sounds weird, but I promise it makes sense in my head.

WC team wasn't based on 'form' players as such:

        Ryan
        Mendy/TAA/Doherty
        Hazard(VC)/Sterling(C)/Richarlison/Maddison
        Arnie/Lacazette/Wilson

        Button/Hughes/Alonso/Wan B

      Getting Arnie for Kane

        8 years, 5 days ago

Sound good but apparently he is carrying some sort of injury.
The way he play though makes mockery of his 7m price tag - one to watch for me.

How about downgrade Kane to Vardy and upgrade someone to De Bruyne?

Already own Maddison, Leicester double up is quite brave.

Vardy brace tomorrow would be huge, fingers crossed!

As long as Maddison sets up both goals then that is fine for me.

How did Siggy look ? Worth the upgrade form Richarlison ? Got the feeling he will be pivotal for most things in attack.

    1. Pumpkinhead - I'm ITK …

Avoid both imo. There are better elsewhere I'm sure

      1. EL_FENOMENO

But who else in that bracket ? Nobody stands out. Maybe Martial, but a huge risk for me. BSilva or Moura

        1. XabiAlonso
          8 years, 5 days ago

Go for the defenders instead change formation maybe

          You have Maddison?

    2. Pep's Money Laundry
      8 years, 5 days ago

Not a great game to judge as the attacking play was lacking apart from the 2 goals

More involved and got into better positions than Richarlison generally. Better pick for long term consistency I'd say. Rich looked off today and will be more streaky, but depends if you need the cash elsewhere. Own Rich, would rather have Siggy.

If I can’t afford Salah next week then is doubling on Mane and Firmino for one week a good compromise?

Then do Mane—> KDB the week after.

Wow! Just looked at Newcastle's fixtures till Christmas! Kenedy an option?

    1. FPL Maldini
      8 years, 5 days ago

I bought him in. At 4.9m it’s not a huge risk with those fixtures

      1. DARK SIDE OF THE LOON

        Exactly

      2. Sánchez
        8 years, 5 days ago

I considered it but decided the risk is the fixtures actually tempt me to play him

        1. DARK SIDE OF THE LOON
          8 years, 5 days ago

Will use the funds I free up playing him as the 4th mid in other areas. With those fixtures see almost equal value as Richarlison at 6.7

Why not? Helps me strengthen the team in other areas.

But if you're not benching a 4.9 then what formation will you use? Are you going to have a 4.5 forward and bench him .... you can't play all 8 attackers.

          1. DARK SIDE OF THE LOON
            8 years, 5 days ago

No...not benching him. With him in the attack in the near future will look like this:

            Mane Hazard 7.5 Kenedy
            Laca Vardy Aguero

    4. Rogue Todd
      8 years, 5 days ago

Bringing him in for that Scottish cock Fraser

      1. DARK SIDE OF THE LOON
        8 years, 5 days ago

I will probably bring him in for Richarlison this GW and use that money the week after that to upgrade Fraser when Bourn play United.

  29. Gooner Kebab

    Is Declan Rica an OOP?

Need a cheapie playing defender, most likely to get Duffy but i'm surprised by options at sub 4.5 (zaba, dunk, schindler)

    Patricio
    Alonso - Robertson - Doherty
    Hazard - Mane - Rocharlison - Schurrle
    Aguero - Lacazette - Wilson

    Hamer - Rico - AWB - Billing

    1 FT
    bank: 1,5

as I can’t squeeze Mendy with just one move ( don’t plan to drop Alonso/Robbo ), what should I do:

    A) save FT
    B) Rico ➡ Laporte
    C) Rico ➡ Dunk
    D) sth else..?
