Gameweek 9 comes to a conclusion on Monday evening as Arsenal take on Leicester City at the Emirates, a fixture in which seven goals were scored last season.

Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.7m) scored in that match in August 2017 and both players lead the line for their respective clubs this evening.

Unai Emery has once again chosen to overlook Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.7m) and Aaron Ramsey (£7.4m), however, with the pair among the Arsenal substitutes.

Any disheartened Fantasy owners should perhaps take some consolation from the fact that the pair went on to score 15 and ten points respectively when named as substitutes in Gameweek 8, though the Gunners were up against a welcoming Fulham defence a fortnight ago.

Mesut Ozil (£8.3m) returns to the side to line up alongside Alex Iwobi (£5.5m) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£6.9m) in the three attacking midfield positions behind Lacazette.

Sokratis (£5.2m) and Petr Cech (£5.0m) were doubts for this match and haven’t quite made it, while Nacho Monreal (£5.5m) has been withdrawn from the Arsenal squad as a precaution with a tight hamstring.

Stephan Lichtsteiner (£4.6m) makes his first league start of the season at left-back.

Leicester City’s team news is less eventful, with Claude Puel forced into the only change he has made this evening: Jonny Evans (£4.8m) replacing the suspended Wes Morgan (£4.5m) at centre-half.

Summer signing Caglar Soyuncu (£4.9m) is among the substitutes.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.1m) once again lines up “out of position” on the right of midfield on the opposite flank to the most popular Fantasy asset in the Foxes’ squad: James Maddison (£7.0m).

Arsenal XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Bellerin, Holding, Mustafi, Lichtsteiner; Xhaka, Torreira; Ozil, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan; Lacazette.

Leicester City XI (4-4-1-1): Schmeichel; Amartey, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell; Pereira, Mendy, Ndidi, Maddison; Iheanacho; Vardy.

Why has Salah become so popular, again?
    Is he performing well?
Is it because he scored at the weekend?
    Is it his stats?

If you were going to replace one, which would it be, and to who....

    Rich or Maddie? To...
Siggy or Martial or A N Other??

Tbf I don't mind Maddison, I'm just bemused by things like the sudden Martial after he scores three goals from three shots. Maddison should be good for the next six.

I agree re: Maddie. But martial is only doing what Rich was before his ban. Could be good differential and getting minutes now?? Cheers for the feedback btw!

I actually don't think it's as insane as people are proposing, however I still think holding your transfer is better and then you'll have another week to asses and then 2FT.

Out of the two to take out I'd say Richarlison is the one, with Leicester's fixtures being better and with Maddison on set pieces.

      good luck!

I presume it is Graeme Souness you referring to?

If so i liked it too and it was a good interview,Pitty things did not work out for him as a manager as i think he had a lot more to give and left for TV work too soon,he should have stuck at it for longer imo.

Just an immense player, don't think he ever quite cut it as manager in particular in England.
He was part of the revolution at Rangers and not many could have done that but the real test was at back in England and he fell short.

Did you see my apology in regards to O'Neill misunderstanding Ogie?

Not bitter, if that was the case he wouldn't be in the same studio as Bellamy for instance.
Doesn't suffer fools gladly and clearly has regrets to how management panned out though.

Yeah his possibly the best pundit on Sky.

He regularly comes over here to Ireland to do some TV punditry for CL and some international games. He is very well received by the Irish audience and i think he likes the freedom he gets on Irish TV to express himself properly.

I really don’t agree with this, don’t see him being open minded as much as set in his ways, a bit like Roy Keane but more amicable. Can’t hide his bias for Liverpool.

I wold agree that his Liverpool bias shows through but the same can be said for lots of pundits who still have a soft spot for their old clubs.

Roy is a excellent pundit imo because he always says whats on his mind whether you like it or not

.I think Graeme is 65 now so he is bound to be set on his ways somewhat but what shows through in his punditry is that he is still very much in love with the game and has a good eye for it.

One more good performance from Depoitre. At 5.2 and with these nc fixtures coming up is a really good option.

So, what a disaster my Ramsey punt was, thinking of washing my hands with him already, Ramsey > Maddison for free, the sensible move? I didnt see tonights game, but is Maddison worth owning?

Not at the moment, good fixtures though

Waiting for midweek game, but probably keeping for another week. Would like to use him in a double transfer for free, as I'm not convinced by Maddison.

I think Gross maybe the best option.

I agree Ramsey has to go. There's a bunch of good mids around that price, but none outstanding. Maddison seems best because of fixtures. Radio comms were purring about his first half performance.

My league rival has Ozil as a punt the whole time. He hasn't got Hazard or Ozil but he can hit the jackpot maybe with Pogba, Ozil and KDB. He had a bad start so he can only rely on these punts.

It is unlikely to pay off in the long run.

Anyone coming round to thinking 4-4-2 may be worth a shot going forward, based around

    Alonso, robbo, mendy
    Hazard, Salah
    Aguero, Auba

Not seeing many consistent performers elsewhere.

I started the season with 442. I think keeping it flexible with a 4th ref, 4th mid and 3rd striker that you would play is the way to go. Also AWB as 5th sub.

Got that at the min, those are Doherty, Richarlison, Mitrovic.. none of which are performing

I mostly play 442, can't see why people are afraid to go with 4 or 5 defenders this season.

Definitely looking at this as an option. Feels weird not having two premiums up top...?!

How to shave .8 from this? (For Sane > Salah)

      Patricio Hennessey
      Alonso Bellerin TAA Doc AWB
      Salah Hazard Rich Fraser 4.4
      Aguero Lacazette Jimenez

      A) TAA > Diop
      B) Rich > Schurrle
      C) other
      D) Neither. Just Sane > Mane

How should I improve this team?

        Dubravka
        Walker Robbo TAA Alonso
        Hazard Richa Sterling Fraser
        Arnie Aguero

        Subs: Hamer, WanB, Hughes, Kamara

Will have to live with this GW transfers:
De Gea Tomkins Mane Zaha to Dubravka TAA Sterling Arnie(-8)
