Which FPL players are on international duty and when?

Fantasy Premier League managers are faced with another international duty characterised by yellow flags this month.

A flurry of players have already withdrawn from their national team squads ahead of the final break of the 2018 calendar year.

The French roster has been particularly in flux recently with Benjamin Mendy (£6.4m), Paul Pogba (£8.0m), Anthony Martial (£7.6m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.7m) all pulling out in the last few days.

Nicolas Otamendi (£6.1m) has withdrawn from the Argentina squad facing a double-header with Mexico, Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.2m)  has shirked international duty with the England under-21s and Fulham’s Kevin McDonald (£4.4m) has opted not to link up with Scotland.

There have also been a number of absences caused by injuries picked up in the most recent round of matches.

Kieran Trippier (£6.2m), Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.5m), Asmir Begovic (£4.5m), Shane Long (£4.8m) and Wilfried Zaha (£6.8m) are all absent from the international stage over the next few days as they deal with various knocks.

Neither one of Stephan Lichtsteiner (£4.6m) and Danny Welbeck (£6.5m) will be present for their nations after hurting themselves in Arsenal’s most recent Europa League excursion.

In keeping with recent quotes from Marco Silva about him, Richarlison (£6.9m) remains determined to accept another Brazil call-up despite picking up a minor ankle problem in the 0-0 draw at Chelsea.

However, not every omission has been up to the players themselves. Marcos Alonso (£7.1m), Pedro (£6.3m) and Cesc Fabregas (£6.3m) have all missed out on places in the Spain squad while Maraoune Fellaini (£4.9m) was not selected for Belgium.

Tottenham left-back Ben Davies (£5.6m) will also get a rest as Ryan Giggs opted not to include him in the latest Wales squad. He is suspended for the Dragons’ Nations League match against Denmark due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

There will be less worry among Fantasy managers over late international break comebacks this time around with Brazil playing both of their matches in England. Their meeting with Uruguay will be at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, four days before the Selecao face Cameroon at Stadium MK.

He’s only just got into Irish team so think it’s genuine but seems like a 1 week injury so he should be back for sat week.

For anyone wondering about Maddison's injury, he seems to be well enough to go out for a drink with Jack Grealish.....

Looks like no one wants to play in friendlies. Looking for any injury to get a medical leave.

People need to chill TF out about the flags

Every single 75 that appears in my team is like a beautiful blessing, a guarantee they'll not go away and come back injured or knackered :0

Yeah this is how I see it too. It would be worse if they picked up an injury on the last week of internationals.

I think Mendy is the only injury that has legitimacy too it.

Ranieri to transform Mitrovic into Vardy of title winning season?

Vardy of the (second half of the) season before that would also do nicely

Is Bernardo Silva the safest option for Man City over the festive period? At 7.5 could prove to be a bargain.

I had him until this week when I sold him for Mane (that worked out well). I had him from the start. He only got returns in 3GW before that, I think, and Pep loves rotation at the best of times so over Xmas, they almost definitely will rotate everybody at least once.

Good player had him for the first 8 or 9 GW's. The problem with him is that he is often assisting the assister.

Martial or Mane? I have Sala, Mane and Robertson but Martial is looking very good. They both have some nice fixtures coming up now too. Advice?

You have Salah "Mane" and Robertson yet you can't decide between Martial or Mane.

Yes. Do I sell him for Martial or keep him. It is only Wednesday, I dread to think what you will be like come Friday

Sounds like it might be worth saving the FT but would need to see your squad.

Shouldn't really matter though. Who will score more over the next 6-10 weeks? Martial or Mane?

I won't be saving the FT. If I don't do this transfer, I will be doing Stephens out for another cheapy before he drops in value as I have nothing in the bank, do not want to waste the 0.1 extra I'd have to spend replacing him when he is a benchwarmer in my team. I want 15 playing players for the Xmas fixtures though. The only exception to that is if somebody gets injured on the IB.
