Aubameyang and Kane snapped up by top 10k FPL managers

Fantasy Premier League managers made extensive changes to their teams this week and it appears the template is no longer.

In this article, we look at how team selection has changed between Gameweeks 13 and 14, including the effect of the latest Wildcards.

3.64% of Top 10k managers activated their Wildcard for Gameweek 15, which makes the percentage of managers with their wildcard intact only 16.5%.

Looking at the popular choices in their wildcards shows lots of changes from previous weeks.

The new striker partnership of Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dominates this Gameweek Wildcards. The third spot has been awarded to Marko Arnautovic, although he went off with a hamstring injury on Tuesday night.

With the appeal of those two premium options, both of whom have great fixtures on the horizon, there is little room for the injured Sergio Aguero.

The absence of the Argeninian from Wildcards seems to correspond by heavy investment in Manchester City’s midfield options, with Raheem Sterling (74.18%) and Leroy Sane (60.71%) among the top three most-owned players in the Gameweek 15 Wildcards.

The investment in West Ham goes beyond Arnautovic to Felipe Anderson (66.76%) and Lukasz Fabianski (63.74%). In fact, the Hammers are the side with the highest number of players in this week’s Wildcards.

By backing West Ham assets, mixed feelings were definitely experienced by Wildcarders as Arnautovic got zero points while Fabianski rewarded them with a penalty save but lost his clean sheet in the 95th minute.

The template was not only affected by those Wildcards, with plenty of those without one made enough changes to alter the dynamics of the game.

The result is a huge shift in the ownership among the top 10k for some premium options.

For example, Kane (who leads the top 10k captaincy for Gameweek 15 with 40.8%) saw his top 10k ownership increase from 2.61% to 44.94%.

Similarly, Aubameyang went from 2.9% to 30.73%.

On the other hand, Aguero dropped from 81.1% to 12.43%.

These huge ownership swings shows much of a turning point in the season we are experiencing right now.

Finally, here is a list of ownership changes for some main FPL assets.

what about rob holding as an option? could be a steal at 4.4

i know he was covering for sokratis whilst injured, but with sokratis back, they are now playing with a back three with both featuring, and with news that koscielny set for further injury set back

My issue would be that he offers zero attacking threat so all you are banking on is clean sheets. Arsenal have proved this season they aren’t at all solid at the back and I don’t see many clean sheets regardless of opposition.

thats a good point, but tbf their opponents for the next three games are from the bottom four, should have at least 2 CS i reckon

Should I play the WC ?

    Patricio+Robbo+hazard+masuaku+martial+Arnie
    To
    Fabianski+trippier+son+sane+f.anderson+ success

Already have TAA so Robbo out to fund the moves

should I do it next week as more days between GW can result in catching more price rises???

Having Kane & Auba really ruins the overall structure of the team.

I'mma play 4-3-3 largely going forward.

    Can't find a good 4th mid option with a 5.2m budget.

    Is brooks still starting?

Auba and Sterling going to be over 250 and maybe close to 300 got to be having both.
And will be my captain options for here on in. Think it will go well.

    4. Moorinho
      • 10 Years
      5 years, 5 months ago

      Points per match:
      Auba: 6.5
      Laca: 5.2

      Points per 90:
      Auba: 8.83
      Laca: 7.12

      Points per million:
      Auba: 8.2
      Laca: 7

Auba's also a bit more explosive, so slightly better for a captain option.

Was going to drop Hazard, but those are some plum fixtures after City.

Early WC draft, any concerns or suggestions?

    Fabianski/Hamer
    Laporte/Luiz/TAA/Wan-B/Kiko
    Sterling/Sane/Richarlison/Fraser/Camarasa
    Kane/Auba/Jimenez

0.2 ITB. Tempted by Anderson over Rich, but I'm 0.1 short of that. The defence is certainly not set in stone.

      • 7 Years

Cheers, I got Jimenez at 5.8 and Camarasa and 4.5, so not sure who I'd bring in at a lower price than that. Any suggestions instead of Kiko? Schindler looks a decent budget option, or could even stick with Bennett.

Bennett is out of favour.. i plan to ship him out too
I guess just put a faith on the team w/o Fanderson

yes.. i think just stick with 3-4-3 play with current..

Janmaat a risk for Kiko so I might look elsewhere.
      Mainly 343
      Very hard to fault it.
Personally I prefer a stronger midfield and defence and would go without Kane but either can work

      1. Doolittle
        • 11 Years

Ah I hadn't realised that Kiko was a rotation risk, thanks for that. Yeah I'm slightly concerned by the structure with so much money up front, at some point I will probably downgrade Kane or Auba and upgrade elsewhere, but in the short-term those fixtures are hard to ignore. I've had 3 big hitters in defence all season so it's quite hard to move away from that.

Looking at the fixtures ahead at the time it was not a bad call.
The only reason I still have Wilson and Fraser is that I could never make up my mind whether to lose them or not.
I got Arnie too weeks ago. The injury risk was there for us all to see but those fixtures were so tempting. Maybe Fanderson was the better option all along anyway.

Have Wilson and Fraser. Season ticker is not kind to Bournemouth through end of year. So I'm wondering what to do.
    1) Keep both
    2) Keep Wilson (proven he can score against anyone, but could be enabler)
    3) Keep Fraser
    4) Drop both

      KEEP BOTH!

You won't get better value from anyone else so there's no point in dropping them. They also seem to be perfectly capable of getting a goal even in difficult fixtures, aside from that wtf collapse at Burnely

    3. Doolittle
      • 11 Years

Depends at what price you got them. I think Fraser will be a season keeper for me; I've not owned Wilson and won't be getting him on a WC, but he's a great option, and if I'd bought him early I'd be sticking with him through these fixtures.

      1. Keep both for now. I have them both and they're proving to be excellent value. Can't find much better options at that price, esp fraser. Wilson at some point can be switched to mitrovic(after he get his inevitable 5th yc)

Keep both - they enabling everything and keep performing.
Forget the fixtures doesn't matter to them.
Wilson seems a better option but no one is anywhere near Fraser at a price point where there are no other options
I should have done caps on the keep too just to make sure you get the message. Keep 🙂

Bought Fraser at 5.6, and Wilson at 6.3. A good amount of value in both.

Both have helped me get to my current rank, but, honestly, it's just a funding thing. They could enable other upgrades.

      Good move.
I'd waited until player's played their matches.

Really can’t look how I’m losing cash on price rise/fall of Auba/Kun

Why didn't Ryan get his assist?

Also, is Fraser still a good option to get him?

      Their fixtures look dreadful.
Wilson is the guy who is fixture proof imo.

Ryan is only 10 metres from the place the ball was kicked up field from.

Would anyone still be considering bringing in Doherty on a WC? I've not owned him all season, but statistically he still looks a good option.

At 4.9 there are options you have. I love the player though, he is RW who can get CS rewards imo.

Yes, I think he still offers great value for what he offers. A poor man's Mendy if you like.

    Hello guys,
What you think about Success ??
Watford have good run of fixtures now and he is playing alot minutes. He would obviously be 3rd bench player to play all 5 midfield.

I'd avoid, he's a rotation risk, and I feel like the one thing you'd want from a bench player is certainty of minutes.

No definite news but looked like a hamstring by all accounts. I've ditched, he's just too unreliable.
