It’s all change for Fantasy Premier League managers as Gameweek 15 looms large.

This is when the fixtures begin to swing in the direction of Tottenham and Arsenal and that has already had an effect on the captain debate.

We’ve taken a look at both the popular options and those most likely to do well in the midweek action in this latest article.

Captain Poll

Harry Kane (£12.4m) looks poised to go into Gameweek 15 as the runaway Fantasy Football Scout captain poll winner. At the time of writing the Tottenham man had a 42% share of the vote ahead of Southampton’s visit to Wembley on Wednesday night. The last time he was the most popular candidate was when they hosted Cardiff in Gameweek 8 – his owners will be hoping for a better showing than his blank against the Bluebirds.

A long way off in second place is Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) who has a 15% share of the vote. Liverpool travel to Burnley this weekend and are expected to waltz to victory considering the form their hosts are in. The Clarets have allowed more shots than any other side this season which should afford Salah plenty of chances to finally get his second double-figure haul of the campaign.

Raheem Sterling (£11.5m) looks set to finish the poll in third place, as the most popular of the Manchester City options. He is the top-scoring player in all of FPL right now so there’s so surprise that he’s ahead of his colleagues in this vote. Some might have expected him to have garnered more than 9% support, but it appears the voters are aware of his rotation risk. An away match against Watford looks like one in which Sterling can certainly deliver but the fact that he played the full 90 minutes against Bournemouth does reduce his risk of starting this one – and that is reflected in his percentage share here.

Interestingly, Marko Arnautovic (£7.1m) is up next as he faces Cardiff City on Tuesday night. His 5.67% share of the vote is higher than Sergio Aguero (£11.5m) who trails behind the main group with 4.5%. There is considerable doubt over whether he will even start against Watford with his recent muscular injury, but he has also been so poor away from home too.

Despite emerging as a potential alternative to Kane in the minds of some Fantasy managers, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.9m) is lagging well behind in the captain poll. Just 3.49% of voters are considering handing him the armband this weekend even though he faces a leaky Manchester United defence at Old Trafford. Callum Wilson (£6.8m), who faces Huddersfield, is ahead of him on 3.81%.

Eden Hazard (£11.0m) and Sadio Mané (£9.9m) are even further behind with just 1.95% and 1.74% backing respectively.

What's the order of most likeliness:

    A) Sterling starts
    B) Sterling comes on for a cameo
    C) Sterling doesn't feature

Hmm, cant decide who to cap.

    Salah or Kane.

I just dont trust Kane, but soton love to let some shots get past the goal line. So do Burnley.. Any advice?

I'm torn, Kane is playing as a 10 most games, while with mane likely out it means more marking on Salah

Salah probably just gets it. Seems set to start, practically playing as a striker nowadays. Extra points for goals and CS though that is negated by his hatred for bonus

I am pretty sure I am going with Salah over Kane despite just bringing Harry in

      Three reasons:
      1) Stats favour Salah
      2) Probably dropping Salah after deadline so this is his Testimonial
      3) Damage limitation in case Kane blanks as per his true nature

I’d really appreciate your advise for my wildcard -

Is Fabianski the best budget goal keeper?

Would you rather have Wilson or Jiminez long term?

    Thank you

Fabianski yes, love the fixtures, also gets savepoints.

Wilson is way bette pick IMO. Season keeper.

Wilson 100%. Not to sure on goalkeeper. Plenty of cheap options to choose from. I prefer Hennessy or Ryan.

I'd get Hennessey. Bad fixtures are turning to good long term run, Palace way better than West Ham at keeping a clean sheet.

Article: “All eyes on in-form Kane for Gameweek 15”. Doesn’t seem to be very in-form to me compared to some other captaincy options. Perhaps “middling form” would have been more accurate. :).

He’s in form in the sense that he has 7 returns in 8 GW’s... but he’s a long way from his best (yet)

Kane’s Form (F) factor is less than 6. Sterling, by way of comparison, is 12 ... :).

Sterling being in better form doesn’t exclude Kane from being in form though

            • 9 Years
            7 years, 4 days ago

            Kane’s Form (F) factor is 5.7 - that’s not good. It’s the same as Foyth’s actually. :).

              • 15 Years

Kane is definitely in form - there are players in better form, and players in worse form, and Kane can do better. They’re not mutually exclusive.

Foyth’s in good form (per the pure FPL calc) too, he got a 15 pointer 3 games ago

              1. jtreble

                7 years, 4 days ago

A Form (F) factor of less than 6 is not in-form for me. :). Let's agree to disagree. Good luck.

He can improve, but 10 attacking returns in 13 GW’s is in form. Good luck 🙂

Form is such a poorly defined concept - in that sense it's not all that useful. One person's "form" is another person's "poor form".

    Ederson Button
    Alonso TAA Holding Zabeleta AWB
    Hazard Sane Richarlison Fraser Gunnarson

Got Fraser and Richarlison cheaps so it is hard to let them go with a lack of performers in that lower to mid price range.

The Last 5 gameweeks have seen my turn myself into a dirty casual, between real life and Fifa, I have spent no time at all on fantasy, and my team is suffering from it. any help appreciated, medical preferably.

            Fabianski, Patricio,
Robertson, David Luiz, Bennett(Wolves), Duffy, Holebas

When you sort the players by trend/arrows on fplstatistics, is the top player the one rising fastest?
You can have multiple players with 3 arrows, so I'm not sure how the detailed sorting is done.

Looks like we were wrong. From last i checked to now, Auba is up 2.7% while Kane is up 1.9%.
Kane is still sorted above him in the list.

              Thoughts on this WC?

              Fabianski, Steele
              Alonso, Bellerin, TAA, Doherty, AWB
              Sterling, Sane, Anderson, Richarlison, Gunnarsson
              Kane, Lacazette, Jimenez

Tried to cover everything with it, wanted Arnie but also Arsenal and Spurs attack. No cash remaining ITB

Ever look at your team and think, "this is the going to be the dream team this week, there is simply no way this team with those fixtures do not perform"

Yes have done the last 3 weeks and dropped 7500 places or so with average scores.

Dropping for last 3 weeks and only 7500 places. That looks good in my eyes for a bad run.

From 1633 which is very hard to take tbh. Wanted to break top 1k ever but dropped since.

I understand, when your rank is that high. But you can always recover when inside the top10K. Happened similar with me previous year. Ended up at about 3.3k in the end. This year though I am changing places by 100Ks every gw 😀

I am still clinging on to Aguero. Will he be on the bench tonight?

Very tempted to pull the trigger for Aubameyang...

First Hazard...but maybe both even. We might get to see Liverpool line up for GW16 before deadline, so if Salah is rested then I get rid of Salah as well

Got rid of Haz for Sané this week, but not *entirely* comfortable with the decision.

Holding on and assessing Salah for now, but Sterling is tempting me.

Am I getting punished or will my hits be covered? Although the moves were looking at the long term, it will hurt bad if the sold ones went big.

              Kun+Mane+Vardy+Hazard > Kane+Sane+Auba+Eriksen (-8)

Hopefully a few leaked team line-ups before the deadline ? Must be easier for the team list to leak out with the later kick-offs ?

Aguero spotted training away from the main group. Safe to say he won't be starting tonight but rather starting on the weekend?

Still have him in my team.

              Help.
