The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

The latest rounds of our Fantasy Football Scout Cups were played in Gameweek 14 and they will make a return in Gameweek 16.

Due to the quick turnaround between matches, we removed Gameweek 15 from the schedule.

Read on to see how your team got on and find out if you’ve progressed to the next round…

Public FFS Cup

Three more former winners were eliminated from the public FFS Cup in the second round of matches, played in Gameweek 14.

A Manager Has No Name lost out 56-54 Alextcooper, MCH was soundly defeated 52-38 by Get It Inter Ya and Gribude‘s score of 50 paled in comparison to the 68 recorded by opponent LeisureLauri.

Three ex-champions remain in the mix including our very own Mark, who saw off Lord‘s Gameweek score of 60 with a 70 of his own.

donnellyc was a 58-50 victor over Fantasytom while Ninja_Fit_Saints squeezed past Cowboy John 45-44.

It was a mixed round of matches for those currently in the upper echelons of the FPL worldwide rankings.

Ninth-placed Sir Oux‘s 76-68 defeat to wickedtongue means that Miles105 is now the highest ranked remaining contestant. He is now holding down 15th place worldwide and booked his place in the third round with a 66-44 win over Xander the 7th.

87th High as a Keita continues his run with a 60-48 win over theonefjef, Bombers Wonders, ranked 126th, beat mplavchak 59-47 but there was a narrow defeat for 119th placed Karan14 – (RoboKlopp). He was seen off 62-61 by THFC4LIFE.

Fuzzy Dunlop and rrcmc remain in the competition after 48-47 and 55-52 wins over Blakouk and shiregeriatrics respectively.

Things went a little better for our in-form managers in this Cup.

Sir Oux‘s score of 68 may not have been good enough to keep him going in the public Cup, but it was a scoreline that beat Ioashi and booked his place in the second round of the Members Cup.

171st placed Jedi Reed beat Rohirrims 62-58, Ulrik Steinschweiger, ranked 16th, saw off dkonis 65-47 and High as a Keita kept himself going in both comeptitions with a 60-58 win over Dele Alli Oxenfree!

Miles105 ensured his place in both tournaments for the time being with a 66-62 win against Dixie_1979, Karan14 – (RoboKlopp) beat Schiffy11 61-57 and RDR2, ranked 125th saw off edhilliam 68-57.

Just below him, 126th placed Bombers Wonders kept his run going with a 59-42 win over Mcapizza.

Elsewhere, Matzi11a edged past Final Cod 53-52 with Niemi beating zvi_green by the same scoreline.

      Very difficult choice.
      I'd just go laca+fouth way

It seems you are looking for rotation.
I must warn you this time of year when 2 players each week can be rotated you bench comes on and usually with weak away games. Easily will get nothing from the bench. Just keep 1 good enabler on the bench

Sure mate. Already took hit this gw. Next gw i am going to upgrade some bench hopefully.
        Thank you !!

would you do the following to bring Kane or do you have another route?
    Salah & Arnautovic > F.Anderson & Kane.

    Fabianski (Patricio)
    Alonso-Robertson-Doherty-Laporte (AWB)
    Salah-Sane-Richarlison-Fraser (Hojbjerg)
    Aubameyang-Jimenez (Arnautovic)

I don't think salah-kane will score different points this gw. (Points diff)
      So if free Go
For Hit No and play your current team imo

    Chances of Martial playing?

    a) Alonso + Arnie -> Shindler and Laca
    b) Hazard + Arnie -> Martial and Laca
    c) Hazard + Arnie -> Midfielder around 6.8 + Aubama

Worth a -8 to get Murray out??

Got a bench of: AWB, Doherty & Stephens

Got dodgy option sthis week of: Keane, Sane & Murray

No. -8 never worth it plus doherty should start

    2. Amey
      9 days, 8 hours ago

      No.
      Keane will play.
      Sane will get minutes.
      Doherty away to New.
      So play him

-8 can be worth it. Just think of a 3 week period and if you can recover the money.

So finally I've decided on going with Aubameyang .

Both laca & auba can fire given the fixtures and form so it's a tough decision to make but I'm satisfied with my team structure with auba .

This also gives me a backup plan if my decision backfires and hazard starts firing then I'll switch to laca & hazard.

    Hi All,
Does anyone have any ideal what has happened to Danny Ings. I use him in rotation was expecting to see him back midweek. Southampton have Cardiff this weekend and it feels like a game he has to play in. I didn't see anything on Southampton injuries ahead of the Cardiff game.
Does anyone else have more insight?

Hard to tell under this new manager. He could easily favour Austin / Gabbiadini even if he is fit. I'm sure others have more ingsight.

Right so Trippier being injured has ruined my plans on saving my free transfer and reassesing on gw17. Don't think it's an option now:

    Hart/Foster
    Trippier/Alonso/Laporte/Doherty/AWB
    Hazard/Sterling/Son/Fraser/Camarasa
    Kane/Arnie/Quaner

    0.2ITB 1FT

Due to my rank and that I'm chasing I am debating Trippier -> Kola straight swap

I was wanting Trippier as well but im staying away now. Kol or Digne for me.

Struggling to choose between Digne and Kolasinac

Digne. Nailed. Good fixture this week (WAT) but then City,Spurs before ok fixtures. However he could be benched for the City and Spurs game.

Kolasinac. Unsure of starts. Maybe ok short term. Looks very attacking to the eye but in a defence that makes mistakes.

Last gasp attempt to finalise my WC team. Any thoughts/advice welcomed.

    Fab/Button
    TAA/AWB/Bellerin/Doherty/Schindler
    Sterling/Sane/Snodgrass/Siggy/Camarasa
    Laca/Kane/Jimenez

    2.9m itb to allow a couple of moves in GW's 17, 19 & 20.

I'm on wildcard too and it looks similar to mine except I went for auba over laca, Anderson over Snodgrass etc. Why not spend the money to get better players now?

Also go for Steele over button as he's the one on the bench for Brighton these days.

      1. ShaymenTID
        9 days, 5 hours ago

Yeah seen folk talking about Steele, but not convinced personally; a couple of sightings on the bench isn't enough to persuade me that Button is not still 2nd choice.

Haven't selected Auba, reckon his minutes could be managed this week, so went for Laca and will probably downgrade in GW19. Having Snodgrass who's nailed free's up funds for a Utd mid for their two home games in 19 & 20, whilst WH have two away fixtures.

Also allows me to do Sane back to Hazard next week.

Are any of the following MF worth a punt this week? Will be -4 anyway (to get Aubameyang in) and 7.3 ITB: Armstrong, Paterson, Milner or ???
    Thanks for any input!
