Ryan Fraser (£6.3m) was the key Fantasy Premier League man to be benched in the Saturday afternoon matches for Gameweek 18.

He was named among the Bournemouth substitutes for the visit of Brighton, with David Brooks (£5.0m) and Junior Stanislas (£6.0m) preferred on the flanks, with Callum Wilson (£6.9m) and Josh King (£6.3m) up front.

That will be of some frustration to those Fraser owners who opted to hold on to him one more week in order to specifically capitalise on Brighton’s vulernability to set pieces in away matches.

There was better news from the Etihad Stadium as both of this week’s most talked about Manchester City options Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) and Leroy Sané (£9.7m) were selected in the starting line-up to face Crystal Palace.

Gabriel Jesus (£10.1m) leads the line, while Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) was benched, following some minutes for him in the League Cup midweek.

Wilfried Zaha (£6.7m) returns to the starting line-up for Crystal Palace after missing Gameweek 17 through suspension.

Glenn Murray (£6.5m) was left out of the starting line-up for another away match with both Jurgen Locadia (£5.3m) and Florin Andone (£5.0m) both in the Brighton side.

Eden Hazard (£11.0m) leads the line for Chelsea once again, with Maurizio Sarri making no changes to the side which beat Brighton in Gameweek 17.

Jamie Vardy (£8.8m) comes through his injury doubt to start for Leicester at Stamford Bridge, while Ben Chilwell (£5.1m) returns for the Foxes.

Of particular note was another start for budget Southampton defender Jan Bednarek (£3.9m), who has now featured from the beginning for the last three matches in a row.

46 (-4) all out. My rival has Kane, Eriksen and Alderweirald on to play and Pererya first on his bench.

27 with Kane, Richarlison and Alderweireld left.

Surely I'm not the only one suffering a disastrous gameweek ?

Down from 2.3K OR to 4.3K.

    25 from 9 is good, right? 😀

Of course, the only haul today was from Fraser whom my ML rival has captained. Oh, the irony...

I can't fault the work rate of a Rafa team but NUFC are just a championship team punching above their weight, that 0-0 was every bit of exciting as it sounds.

Fingers crossed we'll get Shelvey back in the new year which will be like signing a new player (which we all know Newcastle won't do).
