A Double Gameweek should be a time of excitement, as Fantasy managers look forward to loading up on players with multiple games and wondering which chip to use.

But the Scoutcast crew are far from enthusiastic, with Manchester City and Everton the key teams in the first such set of fixtures of the current campaign.

In tackling the community questions on the Sky Blues’ pair of games, Az, Joe, David and Luke are fearful of rotation and questionable form, which saw last season’s champions lose to Newcastle last time out.

Meanwhile, a suspension for Lucas Digne and lack of accuracy for Richarlison have left the crew also unimpressed with Toffees players’ potential.

Also under consideration are the single Gameweek stars who are, arguably, being unfairly ignored and could outshine their double match counterparts.

The latest on the Premier League’s whipping boys, who are handing oppenents a worrying amount of shots and chances, is another issue covered.

With this packed 90 minute show recorded during the end of the January transfer window David ensures we are kept to date with the latest key moves.

The crew also find time to look over their and the community’s Gameweek 24 highs and lows, a segment of the show that Az in particular wished had been cut.

This latest ScoutCast finishes off with the crew revealing their Gameweek 25’s plans, clean sheet picks and differentials selections.

This Scoutcast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Thursday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes, usually filmed on Tuesdays.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below. Or you can take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

It is also worth mentioning that FFScout moderator Rotation’s Alter Ego has collected this latest episode’s timestamps to help find particular sections. This can be found as the top comment in the Youtube version.

We have two players this season who have missed more than one penalty.
    Can you guess their names?

Yeah I was trying to work out if you meant a particular team. I see Irbox got it anyway, I would've got Sigurdsson but not Pogba, thought he had only missed one.

Guys, I need some feedback here.

    2FT, 0.2 IDB

    GKP: Etheridge (Speroni)
DEF: Doherty, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Robertson (Bednarek)
MID: Pogba, Sterling (C), Salah (V) (Westwood) (Alli)
    FWD: Firmino, Rashford, Jiménez

    What to do here?

I have only Sterling. First plan was Pogba+Alli to Sane+Siggy (and captain Sane) for a week and then Sane to Son. I am 0.6 short on Alli to Sane.
    Open for suggestions here...

    a) Do this
    b) Shaw to 4.4 def (Taylor maybe)
    c) just do Alli to Bilva

How about these moves (presuming TAA and Pogba are fit)?

    Hazard to Sane
    Auba to Aguero

    2 FTs

Both needing out for the Blank... Would just do Auba > Aguero and pray Hazard gets an overdue haul

I'd do the hazard to sane move in a heartbeat. I done that move yesterday myself. Not so sure about the kun Aub move. Me personally I kept Aub only because it would only mean me bringing him back for gw27

  5. Too Many Hits

    GW26: Aguero > Aubamayang
    GW27: Sane > Son Danilo > Periera (-4)
    GW28: Roll FT
GW29: Richarlison > Maddison (Not set on Maddi but will want rid of Rich by this point)
    GW30: De Gea > Ederson + Jiminez > Wilson

Interesting that Kun is topping the Captain poll above Sané
I would think Sané is likely to have more minutes and Kun doesn't have the advantage of assist points and less likely to get baps

    1. HamezMace
      • 12 Years
      7 years, 6 months ago

I really don't think there is anyway of telling who will pay more/less minutes between the Sane, Sterling, Aguero alliance.

I think the safer thing to say is that all will play more than 90, all will play less than 180, and even the one that plays the least could get the most points.

    2. Peter Ouch
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 6 months ago

I think kun won't play 180, sane safer option but kun can easily hit 3 goals

Why is Sane likely to get more minutes? I'm not saying he won't, just interested in your reasoning. A lot depends on Mendy's fitness IMO. Also, Aguero has 8 assists to Sane's 11 this season, its closer than many think.

      1. Too Many Hits

I don't trust captaining Sane to the point I brought in Aguero just for this week

If Mendy is confirmed fit that'll be enough to put me off Sane.

Ok it’s prob a close run thing but just feel like Kun has more competition for minutes from Jesus than Sané has from Mendy

If Mendy is back, there are too many variables for me to feel comfortable captaining Sane. Pep could easily role out Mendy at LB, Mahrez or Bernardo RW, Sterling LW.

        2. HamezMace
          • 12 Years

Sane also has competition from Bernando, and Mahrez...and Jesus.

Against Newcastle, Sane was subbed for Jesus, who went to play on the right, and Sterling moved to the left....worth noting that Pep made that change, rather than just subbing Sterling for Jesus.

Aguero just got maximum bonus points in a 1-2 loss, not sure why you think he's less likely to pick up baps...

        • 9 Years

Fair enough. To be fair I hadn’t looked at his recent stats but generally the mids have more opportunity to attract the bps right?

    Guys, need your help!
Had a nightmare week with only 28 points and I fell out of top 5 in my private league!

    Team looks like this:
    Guita
    Robertson - Doherty - Holebas - AWB
    Sané - Pogba - Salah - Hazard
    Rashford - Wilson

    Got 2 FT’s
Obviously need to get rid of Wilson.
    So:
    Wilson —> Jimi
Any suggestions for the second transfer? Would like to get Son, but that means removing Hazard or Pogba!

I have done 2 free transfers, but considering also getting Edersson or Boruc in for a -4 hit, since i have no playing goal keeper at the moment. Which of course mean i would gamble that they will get more than 4 points. Would you do it? and if so, which one?

  28. Londoner_FPL

    Hamer -> Ederson for -4?
    Fabianski is my other keeper.

    1. Joche87
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 6 months ago

I have the exact same dilemma, but i would have to do fabianski -> ederson, or hamer to boruc. for -4. I think its a good chance ederson will get at least 4 points, if you see that as worst case scenario, then anything else would be points gain. And GW26-27 you just play fabianski again. I would do it if i could

I think points wise it'd pay off this week, but I'm worried about having that much tied up in GKs.

Getting rid of Richarlison NOW for Son. For a hit.

Would that be crazy? Only have 0.1 to play with if price changes in the coming days/week.

    Thinking 4 point hit.

Pogba and Firminho out for Fernadinhio and Aguero?

Too risky? Its the only way I can get Aguero in.
