Form versus fixtures is the age-old debate in Fantasy circles.

Leicester City are without a win in the last five Gameweeks and sit joint-bottom of the Premier League form table over that period, having taken just one point from a possible 15.

The quality of their opposition has to be factored into the equation, however: the Foxes have faced Liverpool, Manchester United and Spurs in their last three Premier League matches and also lost at seventh-placed Wolves in Gameweek 23.

The performances against those top four clubs in the last three Gameweeks have been encouraging, with Liverpool held to a draw and both Manchester United and Spurs perhaps fortunate to emerge from their encounters with Claude Puel’s side with all three points.

Last Sunday’s defeat at Wembley was especially harsh on the Foxes.

No Premier League side had more efforts on target or shots in the box than Puel’s side in Gameweek 26, while only Manchester City carved out more big chances.

Looking ahead, Leicester’s fixtures are among the most favourable in the division – perhaps even the best.

The Foxes are the only club to avoid any of the “big six” in the next nine Gameweeks, with all five of their home matches during that time against teams currently in the bottom half of the table.

Leicester’s defensive options are particularly worthy of consideration for this run.

Despite their recent winless sequence, only five teams have conceded fewer Premier League goals than the Foxes this season.

Crystal Palace are the only non-big six side to have kept more clean sheets, meanwhile.

With that in mind, we will take a look at two potential routes into the Foxes’ backline – both of whom offer the possibility of Fantasy returns at the other end of the pitch, too.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.3m) and Ben Chilwell (£5.0m) have both posted some impressive underlying statistics this season, though Pereira has had more joy from a Fantasy perspective so far given that he has registered eight attacking returns to Chilwell’s three.

We will compare the two full-back options in the Members’ article below, as well as looking at the case of another key component in the Leicester defence: centre-back Harry Maguire (£5.4m).

      Yeah, good point. I'm not sure I trust them completely enough to double up myself and there's only really Digne of my back four I want to lose. Depends on your current defence structure/maverick tendencies/confidence in their fixtures over form, I suppose.

    2 FT, 1.1 ITB

    Fab - Button
    Robertson - TAA - Doherty - Luiz - AWB
    Pogba - Salah - Son - Richarlison* - Lingard*
    Aguero - Rashford - Kamara*

    * got three big issues in the squad at the moment. Opinions on the following possible transfers please?

    A) Lingard -> Almiron, Kamara -> Rondon
    B) Lingard -> F.Anderson, Richarlison -> Jota
    C) Lingard -> Moutinho, Kamara -> Jimenez
    D) Lingard -> F. Anderson, Richarlison -> Harvey Barnes, Kamara -> Rondon (-4)

    If these DGWs are confirmed

    Brighton: Southampton (H) + Cardiff (H)
    Cardiff: Chelsea (H) + Brighton (a)
    Man City: Fulham (a) + Man United (a)
    Man United: Watford (H) + Man City (H)
    Southampton: Brighton (a) + Watford (a)
    Watford: Man United (a) + Southampton (H)

    This could be my gw32 line-up:

    Ryan
    Duffy - Bemba - Laporte
    Sterling - Pogba - Martial - Redmond
    Aguero - Rashford - Murray

    Bednarek first sub

      No? FH has higher potential than BB/TC. Plus its not about how you do in that particular week but how you navigate blanks/doubles and use all chips effectively. Cant derive any lesson from a single week.

      No. What if tc gets 5-10 points? And bb will always include fodder, could get 40pts could get 5-10 from it. Fh allows u to focus all funds on starting 11 and pick ppl with best fixturea so ur 11 should be scoring higher.

      Which chip works best in which week is luck and timing alot of the time

      Pricing could be interesting next season. Lots of players will be significantly more expensive - Rashford, Pogba, Jimenez, Doherty, Son, Robertson (.5 is significant for a defender imo) to name a few. But I can't see very many popular players that have had bad enough seasons to be reduced significantly in price. Alli maybe.

    In the future there will be no debate tinkering or spoon feeding.

    Just computer telepathic thought monitoring throughout the game week.

    Enjoy kids.

      In the future the games won't need to be played at all. The squads will be submitted at the beginning of the season and AI will calculate everything from there.
