Leicester City’s key Fantasy assets have all kept their places for the first game after Claude Puel’s reign came to a close.

Brendan Rodgers’ arrival at the King Power Stadium was confirmed around the same time as the team news was released.

He will see Jamie Vardy (£8.8m), Harvey Barnes (£5.5m), James Maddison (£6.6m), Demarai Gray (£5.4m) and Ricardo Pereira (£5.4m) all in the starting line-up.

There was also a return to the side for Ben Chilwell (£5.0m) after he missed Gameweek 27.

There will also be plenty of interest in the Wolves side as they head to Huddersfield.

Nuno Espirito Santo has named the usual suspects in his starting XI, with Raúl Jiménez (£6.8m), Matt Doherty (£5.4m) and Diogo Jota (£6.1m) all involved from the beginning.

It will be interesting to see how they get on against a Terriers side that has run eight chances after Saturday’s defeat to Newcastle.

Everton are now back in FPL action for the first time since Gameweek 26, and they have done so with minimal changes.

Richarlison (£6.6m), Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.2m) and Lucas Digne (£5.3m) are all on the team-sheet to face Cardiff, who have also made the usual number of changes to their attacking line-up.

There will be plenty of interest in the 8pm televised kick-off between Newcastle and Burnley.

That game features two popular budget strikers in Salomón Rondón (£5.9m) and Ashley Barnes (£5.7m).

Miguel Almirón (£6.0m), unfortunate to blank on his full home debut, is also in the starting line-up for the Magpies.

Kenneth Zohoré (£4.6m) starts up front, with Junior Hoilett (£5.0m), Bobby Reid (£5.2m) and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (£4.8m) behind him.

Cardiff XI: Etheridge; Bennett, Bamba, Morrison, Ecuele Manga; Gunnarsson, Bacuna; Hoilett, Reid, Mendez-Laing; Zohoré.

Everton XI: Pickford; Digne, Jagielka, Keane, Coleman; Gueye, Schneiderlin; Richarlison, Sigurdsson, Walcott; Calvert-Lewin.

Huddersfield XI: Lössl; Stankovic, Schindler, Kongolo; Duhaney, Hogg, Billing, Durm; Pritchard; Mounie, Grant.

Wolves XI: Rui Patrício; Bennett, Coady, Boly; Doherty, Dendoncker, Rúben Neves, João Moutinho, Jonny; Jiménez, Diogo Jota

Leicester XI: Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell; Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison; Gray, Vardy, Barnes.

Brighton XI: Ryan; Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bong; Groß, Stephens, Pröpper; Knockaert, Murray, March.

Newcastle XI: Dubravka; Lejeune, Lascelles, Schär; Ritchie, Longstaff, Hayden, Manquillo; Perez, Almirón; Rondón.

Burnley XI: Heaton; Taylor, Mee, Tarkowski, Bardsley; McNeil, Hendrick, Cork, Gudmundsson; Wood, Barnes.

Anyone looking at getting Aguero for the next two or has that ship sailed? Higuain is the alternative. Already own Vardy.

So you'd ignore Kun then? Would certainly put me in a better position for GW31.

I almost went for Kun this GW but despite the injuries I can still see his minutes being managed this GW. Then there’s two to play but time will tell how city perform without Fernandinho and Laporte - like you say wise moves for the blanks

Same here, just brought Vardy for rash and I am ditching Auba but for whom.

Kun might be too late and higuain has some yummy fixtures.

GW31 shaping up nicely actually. I’ll paste my team so far below.

Gonna get 4 more I’d say and use one hit. But so many options from so many teams to squeeze in. It’s harder than I thought it would be !!!

    Toon. A second defender ?
Leicester. Which attacking asset? Probably one the mids.
Bou. I want an attacking asset
Pool. Surely Mane as my 3rd to really attack Fulham 31
    Chelsea. Hazard I’m considering
West Ham. Arnie or Fanny so tempting.

    GW31

    Boruc (NEW)

    TAA (ful)
    Rice (HUD)
    Lascelles (bou)

    Salah (ful)
    Puncheon (whm)*

    Barnes (LEI)

It's the Hazard Higuain combo and possibility of Arnie up front against Huddersfield that makes it or breaks it for me.

Add those to Salah and Mane against Fulham and it could be a very decent week -sort of gamble that is worth a minus 4. That combination is unlikely to be outpaced much by Bournemouth etc but could do reall damage.

16 from 6 here, Rashford > Vardy went well. Etheridge conceding 3 while Richarlison didn't score any was annoying though.

Just enough to get back inside the top 10k for now. Arsenal assets + Sterling can kill me tomorrow. Let's hope Son can get one of his monster haul.

Was at Cardiff Everton tonight. Everton really passed the eye test. They were enthusiastic and committed and read right down to the penultimate line of letters. Cardiff, meanwhile, completely failed it. They were listless and only read a few lines of letters before giving up and kept on changing their minds about whether lens 1 or 2 was better.

They weren't brilliant but they were at least very good imo. Very rarely alarmed apart from a couple of zohore charges, gueye and Schneiderlin bossed the midfield, Keane and jags comfortable, Pickford great distribution as per and full backs excelled too. Yeah Cardiff were stinking but Everton responsible for that somewhat.

Which sounds the most sensible for later this week? (building for 31)

    A) Sane, Richarlison > Sterling, McNeil/Hayden for 2FT - will then get Mane in 31
    B) Sane, Rich > Mane, Maddison (already have Vardy)

    Thanks!

My GW 31 players at the moment:

    Liverpool: Alisson, Robbo, Salah
    Leicester: Pereira*
    West Ham: Balbuena, Felipe Anderson*
    Newcastle: Rondón
    Huddersfield: Puncheon*

Crazy looking at dropping Anderson and Pereira for other options? Having serious second doubts about them. On top of that, Puncheon (and maybe Balbuena) might not play…

One thing is the lack of returns, but the potential of him losing minutes to Lanzini is even more worrying. Imagine keeping him to GW31 (losing out on points from other players), only to see him benched for Lanzini…

Indeed! Fulham looks like a decent fixture though, so that's probably a decent fixture to target getting him in for.

Right now I'm looking at (for -4):
                - F. Anderson/Auba > Hazard/Higuaín
                - F. Anderson/Auba > Hazard/Agüero
                - F. Anderson Pereira > Hazard Lascelles

Or just Son > Hazard for free (keeping Anderson and hoping for the best).
