Fantasy Premier League managers are faced with another tricky call for the captaincy in Gameweek 29.

Ahead of yet another round of fixtures, it looks as if assets from Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool will be the key options.

As ever, we are here to help find the best candidates for the armband with some in-depth statistical analysis.

Captain Poll

Paul Pogba (£8.9m) looks set to win this week’s captain poll but not by a huge margin. At the time of writing, he has a 23% share of the vote ahead of Southampton’s visit to Old Trafford. The French midfielder has blanked in just one home game since Ole Gunnar Solskjae rook over.

Close behind him are Manchester City pair Sergio Aguero (£11.7m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.4m) who are neck-and-neck for second place on 17% each. Pep Guardiola’s men are travelling to Bournemouth in Gameweek 29, which will have raised interest in his Fantasy assets. Aguero looks the more dangerous but Sterling is the more likely to start.

Eden Hazard (£10.8m) makes an appearance in the top five for the first time in a while, ahead of Chelsea’s trip to now-managerless Fulham. The Belgian midfielder is not especially in any kind of form but the fixture is particularly appealing, the Cottagers still in possession of the worst defensive record in the league.

Mohamed Salah (£13.5m) completes the top five but has just 7% of the vote after blanking for the fourth time in his last five Premier League outings. Interestingly, he still has more backing than Sadio Mané (£9.7m), who has just 1.4% of the vote despite drastically outscoring him across the last six Gameweeks. That could mean that managers are largely put off by the fixture, an away trip to Everton in the latest edition of the Merseyside derby.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m) and Raúl Jiménez (£6.9m) are the best of the rest with a 3.4% share each. Harry Kane (£12.4m) and Son Heung-min (£8.9m) have also picked up minimal support ahead of the north London derby with 2% each.

Son to Sterling and Auba to Vardy done with 2 free transfers. Team and bench gtg? Only 6 week 31 players bit of concern but with 2 frees and hit in week 30 and 31 should get 9/10 out by then (plan to get Mané King and Brooks and possibly Pereira by then)

    Boruc
    Doherty Van Dijk Lascelles
    Salah Pogba Hazard Sterling (c)
    Jimenez Vardy Rashford

    Steele Kolasinac Bednarek Gunnarsson

Plan to save my Free Hit for GW31 by just making 4 transfers.

1)should I start with Aguero out for Higuaín this week ?

was planning to get rid of Rashford, Pogba, Aguero, Jimenez to King, Barnes, Higuaín, Hazard by GW31 ..

    2) use FH on gw31 or keep FH for dgw

    Fabianksi
    Perreira - VVD - Robertson
    Maddison - Salah - Fraser - ***
    *** - ***** - *****

Not lose much value in Pogba/Rashford? Be able to get them back with FH in 32?

Keep it - no likely value in 31. If you go for. Bgw think 33. The ceiling there is likely to be higher and you could be at an advantage if Spurs play - few teams will have Arsenal and Spurs assets

    Mornin

Got a luxury bench issue this week

    Pick 4 from:;

    TAA / Robertson / Luiz / Doherty / Fandersen

I'm thinking Doherty gets benched, which I suppose seems a bit mad, but I can't see Fulham scoring, and I can see Liverpool gutting Everton

Cheers mate. Also leaves me 0.6 to upgrade another from my team because with only these 3 transfers I will have 9 playing in Gw31. Might take a hit to utilise the 0.6m and bring in another asset for that gameweek. Maybe someone cheap from Bournemouth. Thanks again.

I'm planning on a BOU player too, but neither Fraser nor Brooks (pre-injury) are posting bonkers stats, so I'm not expecting a haul form them just cos it's a blank GW

I’m sorry to read you’re a mitro owner. Looks good only tweak would be Anderson which I’m unsure on. Look at Maddison or Antonio perhaps

Yeah looks like Anderson's good spell has kinda dried up. Will like to see where Rodgers plays Maddison. If he sits just behindVardy then that will be really interesting tbh. Thanks.

Salah vs Hudds in 36 seems the plium choice, but Pogba could be a decent pick this week, why not

Who is your captain for GW29?

    1) Aguero - Bournmeouth defensively are horrible, and seems to be Man City's clients and there is a very likely haul for Aguero, but Guardiola said that Sergio is exhausted. Rotation? Sterling up front?

    2) Pogba - obvious one, great form, United are on fire. But have you ever actually captained Pogba?

    3) Hazard - playing vs Fulham who are going down, defensively horrible, Hazard can haul any game massively, but is it too risky to captain Mr Troll?

    4) Duffy??? - playing at Amex, Brighton are a different team, and vs Huddersfield who dont score goals, a good opportunity for differential Duffy who has 5 goals this season
