Marko Arnautovic (£6.8m) has been named on the bench again for West Ham.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (£6.1m) leads the line against Newcastle in the Saturday evening kick-off.

That means Arnautovic has started just once in the last six Gameweeks.

Manuel Lanzini (£6.4m) continues his comeback as he earns his first start in 293 days after a bad injury.

He looks to be operating in the middle of a three-man attacking midfield, flanked by Felipe Anderson (£7.2m) and Robert Snodgrass (£5.0m).

Fabian Balbuena (£4.2m) is still not fit enough for the matchday squad, which means Angelo Ogbonna (£4.2m) and Issa Diop (£4.3m).

The main Fantasy interest in the Newcastle side will be focussed around Salomón Rondón (£5.9m), owned by 8.1%.

He starts up front in the 5-4-1 formation favoured by Rafa Benitez with Miguel Almirón (£6.0m) and Ayoze Perez (£6.1m) providing the width.

West Ham United XI: Fabianski; Cresswell, Diop, Ogbonna, Fredericks; Rice, Noble; Anderson, Lanzini, Snodgrass; Chicharito.

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka; Manquillo, Lascelles, Lejeune, Schär, Ritchie; Ayoze Pérez, Hayden, Longstaff, Almirón; Rondón

Milivojevic has only Fraser ahead of him for points in the 6-7m midfield bracket. More points than Bernardo Silva, Richa, Pereyra, Maddison, Jota, Mkhitaryan, Pedro etc. Silently and very nicely ticking along.

If hes kept at 6-6.5 he will probably be in my team next season with VAR coming in making pen takers more attractive.

He single handed my lost me my money league last year. My rival had him and he scored a ridiculous number of points the last 10 weeks of the season (he literally never misses penalties)

Stats for tournaments indicate an increase in penalties after VAR

        1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
          • 16 Years
          7 years, 7 days ago

Tournaments are way too small a sample size compared to a premiership season

Even a premiership season is a small sample size - the number of penalties could go way down for a season or two, or go way up, or stay the same

Overall I'd expect it to be roughly net zero in terms of overall quantity of penalties awarded - there will be many factors reducing the quantity awarded (more conservative defender behaviour with VAR cameras etc)

          1. Brosstan
            • 11 Years
            7 years, 7 days ago

Its a small sample size but when all samples so far indicate there will be more penalties, the logical thing is to assume there is a correlation.

Its probably not that big though, and it would be a mistake from FPL if they overprice penalty takers like Mili.

The world cup is the only data I've seen on VAR where there were 29 awarded vs. a previous high of 17 in 1998.

A World Cup has 64 games which is the same as about 6 weeks of the premiership so there's going to be way too much variance in that sample for it to be useable. The quality of teams in the first 45 games is also generally of a much poorer standard compared to Premiership teams so not something to draw conclusions from at all imo.

Even just recently - Auba's today would almost certainly have been ruled out. Kun's v West Ham was another likely candidate. A few of Salah's dodgy dives over Christmas. There are so many penalties that would be disallowed

Plus you will have an entire pre season of managers drilling their defenders not to take any undue risks with contact as there is the increased scrutiny from the VAR cameras

      Minimum 6.5

      1. Brosstan
        • 11 Years
        7 years, 7 days ago

No reason to be more than 6.5 unless FPL try to be proactive by overpricing penalty takers, he started at 6.5 and dropped to 6.3 so far this season.

    5. Rainer
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 7 days ago

Would expect an automatic 0.5m rise for all pen takers next season.

Mili at 7m will probably do well over the season, especially if they keep the diver, but I can't see myself starting with him.

      1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
        • 16 Years
        7 years, 7 days ago

He's very tricky from an FPL perspective though - he looked a great pick leading up to GW1 when you see a midfielder who notched 10 goals available for 6.5

But no-one in their right minds would have held him through all the blanks GW1-9, therefore unless you are psychic you would have missed his 15 points in GW10, and potentially sold again after another 4 blanks GW11-14

He's very streaky, but productive, a real buy & hold through thick & thin type unless you can somehow predict when he is going to go through his little scoring flurries

Salah unless Fernandinho is fit. Something wrong with City without him that Pep struggles to figure out. Imagine if he goes with some crap like Stones at CDM like he did against Leicester, disaster if you cap Sterling.

Salah against Burnley seems a lot safer.

The scariest one is USS Callister, if you put yourself in the situation of the characters 'stuck' in the game. Don't watch it when you're stoned.

I'm conflicted about San Junipero... think I need to give it another watch. But its seems to be a big favourite.

          7 years, 7 days ago

I feel the same. It seemed to lack a sense of jeopardy. There didn't seem to be much in the way of negative consequence regarding the ending. Will have to give it another view myself.

          1. Miguel Sanchez
            • 9 Years
            7 years, 7 days ago

Was the ending as positive as many people believe? Think people got a bit blindsided by the Belinda Carlisle track blasting out at the end.

            1. Deulofail
              • 10 Years
              7 years, 7 days ago

I think that's part of the problem. The audience has to do the work to figure out the potential pitfalls. But I could do that without watching the episode. The ending didn't seem ironic, just pleasant, and we didn't get to experience any dread or implications, because there wasn't any suggestion of anything untoward. But as I say, I need to watch again, as I may have missed things.

        1. Miguel Sanchez
          • 9 Years
          7 years, 7 days ago

Yeah - fantastic concept but I felt I was eventually being forced back to making the correct choices and the only variance in my viewing experience was how long it was. Having looked at a diagram of it, it seems I managed to make all the 'incorrect' choices so managed to see all the various outcomes. Think viewing can vary from 50 mins to over 2 hours. I was well over 2 hours by the final final credits.

3 hours for me. I kept making the same choices, thinking it might be different 3rd time round, but it only happened differently once, and I think everyone experiences that same thing differently regardless of their choices anyway haha. Was qite frustrated at the end that there was no end in sight.

Bad enough having 18 from 6.
But having 22 on the bench is taking the urine altogether.

To think I considered BB aswell is really annoying.

Luiz might be dropped tomorrow so you could get those Jota points.

Sarri said 3/4 will be rotated.

Emerson, RLC, Willian & Kepa the most likely.

But Cahill is back and could get a run.

Best transfer to make which is useful for this week and 31?

      Etheridge Ryan
      Robbo TAA Doherty Bennett Bednarek
      Salah Sterling Hazard Son Pogba
      Rondon Barnes Kamara

1 FT, 0.5 in bank, FH32, all other chips remaining.

      Thinking of Doherty > Maguire.

Maguire has 3 plum games when I need him FUL,bur, bou and he's a big goal threat.

Yeah I have my eye on Lanzini at a great price.

I say Carroll as most will look for Arnie to return... but Carroll is lurking and is a legend for BGW & DGW historically.
