Manchester City are expected to dominate the Double Gameweek 32 captaincy as they prepare to face Fulham and host Cardiff City.

You can now vote in the latest poll embedded in the article below or in the sidebar of the website.

The Cottagers have the worse defence in the Premier League having conceded 70 goals this season, while only the Cottagers themselves and Huddersfield have fewer points away from home than the Bluebirds in 2018/19.

Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) are the obvious go-to options, but some Fantasy managers may want to assess whether they will start in both matches of the Double Gameweek. We’ve done some research into that already, incidentally.

David Silva (£8.5m) and Bernardo Silva (£7.5m) will probably be the most considered in midfield with Leroy Sané (£9.3m) looking very much out of favour right now.

However, with Free Hit chips looking popular this week, there are expected to be a number of premium-priced candidates in all positions. For example, it’s not just Manchester City’s attacking assets that are worth considering in Gameweek 32 though. Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m), Ederson (£5.6m) and Kyle Walker (£6.4m) can offer fairly secure routes into a defence that has kept four clean sheets in the last five Premier League matches.

Rivals Manchester United also have a few options worth looking at as they host Watford and travel to Molineux to face Wolves.

Paul Pogba (£8.9m) has been a reliable asset for most of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s time at Manchester United, although has admittedly dropped in recent weeks.

Romelu Lukaku (£10.8m) has rediscovered his form while Marcus Rashford (£7.6m) can still offer value.

Eden Hazard (£10.9m) is also part of the conversation with some incredible fixtures for Chelsea.

The Blues travel to Cardiff at the weekend before hosting Brighton midweek.

Defensive options such as David Luiz (£5.9m), Marcos Alonso (£6.4m) and Kepa Arrizabalaga (£5.4m) might also end up on the captaincy radar with neither of Chelsea’s opponents offering much goal threat.

Two fixtures for Harry Kane (£12.4m) and his Spurs colleagues might put himself into the conversation as an alternative captain option.

His first fixture is against Liverpool, which might put some off, but after that, it’s a home match against Crystal Palace.

Tempted to punt on Bernardo Silva. He's been terrific recently, and although he hasn't been returning goals and assists in the league, he's been returning in cup games.

Will surely start both games, right?

Would be strange to put it in a RMT thread though...

    For FH team

    A) Kepa, Alli, Bilva, Rashford

    B) Ryan, Laporte, Rüdiger, Kane

    1. MTPockets

A seems a better spread of funds, assuming Rashford's fit

My obvious 2 Man City players are Sterling & Aguero. Please help to pick the third player between:

    1) Ederson - security of starts (maximum 12 points for both games)
    2) Laporte - unpredictable assist or even nick a goal like previous DGW
    3) David Silva - always delivers an attacking return when plays

I will choose Kepa if not selecting Ederson.

    Thanks

Who would win in a Portugal v England Nations League final?

Portugal have players like Ronaldo, B. Silva, Neves & Moutinho. Scary side.

Two average sides currently imo, England to shade it.

just when you mentined 'scary side' I wouldn't consider Portugal or England scary sides! But I will upgrade England to above average 🙂

Apart from France though, who looks genuinely good at International level? I'd argue France, England, Belgium, Netherlands are the best international sides at the moment.

Netherlands are a bit of a wildcard. If Depay turns up they can be dangerous on the counter. Wouldn't personally put them above Portugal.

Doing well since Koeman took over and less of a one man team than Portugal, they are more than just Depay - VVD, De Ligt, De Jong, Gini as the advanced mid, Bergwijn... quality mixed in with lots of talented youth

What a player De Jong is. Yeah, maybe I should be rating them higher. Still think Portugal edges them personally.

Yeah they need to perform in the Euros/ WC with this generation to be considered a top side... Nations league semi vs England should be tasty

          Wouldn't call Portugal average either.

Both in the top 5 I would say. France Belgium England Portugal Spain.

Croatia have dropped off since the WC, being relegated in the Nations League. Ageing side.

Portugal are ordinary enough imo but time will tell. France and Belgium are much better sides than England and Portugal imo. But England does have a great player in Sterling who many of the so called fans seem to turn on at the first opportunity!

Fair enough. I rate them quite highly.

    Play Patricio or Guaita?

Guaita's random benching a few weeks ago is quite worrying but he has the better fixtures. Patricio not entirely safe either but looks like Ruddy is the cup guy and I think he's more likely to start both.

    1. MTPockets
      7 years, 5 months ago

Think I'd risk Guaita given that choice
