Glenn Murray (£6.4m) has been named on Brighton’s bench for their opening Double Gameweek 34 fixture.

He was captained by just over 100,000 Fantasy managers this week given that the Seagulls have two fixtures to play.

However, Chris Hughton has preferred to leave the veteran striker among the substitutes, selecting Florin Andone (£5.0m) to lead the line instead.

Anthony Knockaert (£5.2m) and Jurgen Locadia (£5.3m) are the two options to flank the Romanian international.

All eyes will be on Shane Duffy (£4.8m) now that Son Heung-min (£8.8m) managed just an assist against Huddersfield.

The centre-back was the second-most captained player inside the top 10,000 managers for Double Gameweek 34 and he starts in Brighton’s back-line today.

Alongside Lewis Dunk (£4.4m), he is flanked by Bernardo (£4.2m) and Martin Montoya (£4.3m) in defence.

In central midfield, it’s Yves Bissouma (£4.6m), Davy Pröpper (£4.8m) and Dale Stephens (£4.3m).

Both of them currently yellow-flagged, there was no room in the matchday squad for Pascal Groß (£6.7m) or Solly March (£4.7m).

Bournemouth have named a strong first XI with Josh King (£6.6m), Callum Wilson (£6.6m), Ryan Fraser (£6.3m) and David Brooks (£5.1m) all in the starting XI.

Danny Ings (£5.4m) is back in the side for Southampton as they host Wolves today.

He missed the visit of Liverpool in Blank Gameweek 33 because he was ineligible to face his parent club.

With some Fantasy managers looking to the Saints for Double Gameweek 35 investment, they will be happy to see Nathan Redmond (£5.3m), James Ward-Prowse (£5.1m) and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (£4.4m) in the starting line-up.

After recent tinkering, Nuno Espirito Santo has selected what appears to be his best XI.

Raúl Jiménez (£6.8m) is paired with Diogo Jota (£6.2m) up front, while Matt Doherty (£5.3m) plays on the right of midfield.

Brighton XI: Ryan; Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo; Bissouma, Stephens, Pröpper; Knockaert, Andone, Locadia.

Bournemouth XI: Boruc; S Cook, Mepham, Aké; Fraser, Gosling, Lerma, Smith; Brooks, King; Wilson.

Burnley XI: Heaton; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Hendrick, Westwood, Cork, McNeil; Barnes, Wood.

Cardiff XI: Etheridge; Peltier, Morrison, Ecuele Manga, Bennett; Gunnarsson, Arter; Hoilett, Camarasa, Murphy; Zohore.

Fulham XI: Rico; Bryan, Le Marchand, Ream, Fosu-Mensah; Cairney, Anguissa, Chambers; Sessegnon, Mitrovic, Babel.

Everton XI: Pickford; Digne, Jagielka, Zouma, Coleman; Gueye, Gomes; Bernard, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin.

Southampton XI: Gunn; Bednarek, Yoshida, Vestergaard; Valery, Ward-Prowse, Højbjerg, Bertrand; Sims, Redmond; Ings.

Wolves XI: Rui Patrício; Saïss, Coady, Boly; Doherty, Dendoncker, Rúben Neves, João Moutinho, Jonny; Jiménez, Diogo Jota.

Lesson for next year - there’s no such thing as a good fixture for a terrible team that’s completely out of form.

The last few months have really shown it’s not sensible to go for players with good fixtures from teams that are completely out of form (Pereira, Duffy, Anderson the main culprits recently for most of us).

And I captained Duffy if that wasn’t obvious!

Bournemouth's away form was poor, and can't plan for a red card.

Brighton’s form has been terrible too though and it was asking quite a bit for them to suddenly recover so well

They had 2 home CS in last 4. Was still a decent punt. My having 3 of them was ott though

Though I took that approach for City’s double earlier in the season and just had Sane when Laporte and Aguero went mental...

This. Quality over quantity. People just had to captain a Brighton defender just because he had an extra game.

Yeah it’s another good example. I went without United players due to their form but got sucked in by Brighton as they were cheap...

Silver linings after that fiasco of selling BOU and getting Duffy...

    Went Lloris over Ryan, phew
Son(c) at least got an assist
    Benched Doherty

Couldve been much better, but also much worse

Enjoying a roller coaster ride with Son(c) and Duffy vc

Nearly collapsed when Son comes on
    And he delivered an assist
But i thought that Duffy must outscore him in 2 matches
And resulted in a 0pt duffy performance.
Feels better with the Son(c) now.

People not taking into consideration that some people are chasing in their ML. On the surface, captaining Duffy looks dumb as hell, but he had the highest ceiling of anyone this week. It was a high risk, high reward situation which is necessary when you're chasing so close to the end of the season. (If you disagree, your IQ is 70 at best)
