The release of the Fantasy Premier League price list has seen Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson both priced up as £8.0m midfielders.

Everton sit top of our Season Ticker for the first ten Gameweeks of the season and are the only Premier League side to avoid a ‘big six’ club in their opening half-dozen matches, so interest in the Toffees’ Fantasy assets will be keen.

Both Richarlison and Sigurdsson scored 13 top-flight goals last season and recorded their best-ever FPL points hauls.

Given that the Everton midfield duo can’t be separated by price, we will run a direct statistical comparison in the Members’ article below to weigh up the pros and cons of each asset.

As well as the usual goal threat and creativity comparisons, we’ll be assessing their record against ‘lesser’ sides (given Everton’s favourable run at the start of 2019/20) using our new Flat-Track Bully tool.

Seriously wonder how many people who have DCL in their drafts will follow through and start the season with him.

I've got a spot for a 6.0m striker/midfielder but think I prefer Ings over DCL

Fixtures and the manager likes him. It's not my cup of tea but with defences taking up peoples cash cheap starting forwards are required.

He was in my very first draft as an enabler but I very quickly realised I wouldn't be happy playing him every week and he's too expensive for a bench option.

Why the love for Josh King here?

I understand he did well last season but isn't he like the striker version of Mili, way too dependant on penalties.

Pretty proven FPL track record, decent price point, nailed in an attack-minded team, VAR possibly increasing the amount of penalties awarded, decent fixtures.

He’s 100% staying in my team. Proven record of double figure goals per season, good fixtures, nailed, cheaper than Wilson, on pens.

I'm on him because I like Bournemouth's attacking output and he is a cheaper version of Wilson.

Side note, he has also outscored Rashford in every one of the last four seasons.

      15/16-
      King: 98 points, 6 goals.
      Rashford: 55 points, 5 goals.

      16/17-
      King: 178 points, 16 goals.
      Rashford: 76 points, 5 goals.

      17/18-
      King: 110 points, 8 goals.
      Rashford: 104 points, 7 goals.

      18/19-
      King: 141 points, 12 goals.
      Rashford: 128 points, 10 goals.

Better to look at points per 90 mins IMO. Rashford is a good player, but if he isn't given the no.1 striker spot, he should put in a transfer request IMO. Unless he likes sitting on the bench and becoming a crap player (e.g. Welbeck).

        15/16-
        King: 4.6
        Rashford: 5.8

        16/17-
        King: 5.9
        Rashford: 4.0

        17/18-
        King: 4.0
        Rashford: 5.2

        18/19-
        King: 4.3
        Rashford: 4.9

Chelsea have a serious lack of attackers registered in FPL as it stands. Just an aging trio of Willian, Pedro and Giroud. CHO and RLC injured. Who else do they have to come in, just Tammy and Pulisic?

Barkley can play more attacking. Just think it's Tammy Giroud up front. Pulisic, CHO, Pedro & Willian for wings. RLC/Barkley in 10. IF Lampard plays 4-2-3-1. Reece James may come back and threaten a wing place.

They don't rotate home and away, but with a £4.5m defender from Brighton and Newcastle, you can go the entire thirty-eight week season without facing a fixture higher than a three on the game's FDR, of which twenty-nine of the games are two out of five.

Probably unlikely to yield as much as a premium + fodder, but nice to start with a bench

Premium+fodder being 6m+4m surely, that's 1m more than 4.5m+4.5m. I agree though, not sure how great it will be. If I get any Newcastle defender it would be Ritchie and he's not getting benched often, but with those fixtures I wouldn't buy and play.

Thanks. Uncertainty about managers and style of play makes me wonder if I want to rotate their defenders.

Yet if there is nailed cheap Brighton mid and NEW defender, it might be worth considering. Dunk is the best 4.5 Brighton asset though?

If I may be so bold (as in "annoying") to ask, would you pick between these two teams?

    Team A, 4-5-1:

    Ederson
    TAA / Robertson / Laporte / Coleman
    Salah / KDB / Siggy / Zaha / Maddie
    King

    4.0, Elmohamady, 4.5, 4.5

    Pros: Strong defence, strong midfield
Cons: No bench at all aside from Elmo, no premium striker
    ___

    Team B, 3-5-2:

    Ryan
    TAA / VVD / Coleman
    Salah / KDB / Siggy / Zaha / Maddie
    Vardy / King

    4.0, Elmohamady, 4.0, 4.5

Pros: TAA and VVD, strong midfield, good strikers
Cons: Ryan, no bench at all aside from Elmo

    1. Laporte In A Storm

Villa fan here: Not Elmo. He won't be first choice, Frederic Gilbert (new singing) will be. If you really want a 4.5 Villa defender it should now be Matt Targett.

Your 3-5-2 is actually causing me a rethink. KDB over Sterling just allows you so much more balance. Here is my current 3-4-3

            Pickford
            Robbo / VVD / Laporte
            Salah / Sterling / Siggy / Kante
            Arnie / King / Jota

            Button / Cathcart / Stephens / Gibson.

Price. With so much money at the back it's hard to find 8.0 for a Bournemouth attacker. I don't think anybody with King expects him to outscore Wilson but that 1.5 allows an extra Liverpool/Man City defender. Not saying nobody has a decent team with him in btw.

While I do agree, I think your team could be so much better (as in well balanced) if were you willing to turn your Kane into a, say, Jamie Vardy.

From a different perspective, I also think your team would be better if your Digne were Coleman, your Robbo a VVD, and you'd have Kun instead of Kane.

    Ryan

    Thought of the following options

    A) Laporte + Hayden --> Zaha + Kelly
    B) Mendy + 4.5 --> Jota + Kely (worried about Mendy's game time)
