Barkley and Mount both start as Pulisic drops to the bench

The final fixture of Gameweek 1 takes place at 16:30 BST as Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford.

There weren’t too many shocks upon the release of the teamsheets but perhaps the headline news was that both Mason Mount (£6.0m) and Ross Barkley (£6.0m) – rather than one or the other – start together in Frank Lampard’s first Premier League starting XI as Chelsea manager.

Christian Pulisic (£7.5m) is the man to make way, with the USA international dropping to the bench.

Pedro (£7.0m) completes the trio of attacking midfielders lining up behind lone striker Tammy Abraham (£7.0m).

N’Golo Kante (£5.0m) is only fit enough for a place on the bench, while Willian (£7.0m) and Antonio Rudiger (£6.0m) miss out.

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (both £5.5m) are handed their competitive United debuts but Daniel James (£6.0m) is only a substitute.

Andreas Pereira (£5.0m) instead gets the nod and will line up in ‘the hole’, with Jesse Lingard (£6.5m) on the right flank and Marcus Rashford (£8.5m) stationed on the opposite wing.

An ‘out of position’ Anthony Martial (£7.5m) is reportedly set to lead the line.

Budget FPL forward Mason Greenwood (£4.5m) is on the bench, meanwhile.

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Zouma, Emerson, Kovacic, Jorginho, Mount, Barkley, Pedro, Abraham.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, McTominay, Pereira, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Martial.

      I've been told by Brighton fans to keep him. The manager really screwed us over with that one. The guy shined during pre-season. Still confused why he didn't get any minutes. Murray and Stephens look horrible on the other hand.

      Had this same question a couple days ago. Based on those replies, I would guess it's either an issue with the site (some people see it, others like you and me don't) or it's just not there yet because gw1 isn't officially over (with regards to FPL updates).

      You should be able to see the Free Hit option after clicking "Make Transfers" on the Transfers tab.

        start him for sure, have Lunstram playing instead of Holebas so worst case is Holebas comes on. I cant say Trossard is going to start but im not ditching yet when I have playing sub. They changed formations a few times pre season, Trossard will ofc get minutes.
        IDK the reason for his benching, but no doubt tactical and maybe that was only deployed because of their opposition. If Trossard had started, 10+ points in that game imo. West Ham Im really hoping he starts, if he doesnt then he is out as part of my 2fts. All I could do now is bring in McGinn for him and im not bringing in McGinn based on one game

      Big yes to this. No way Brighton won't play a player that shone during pre-season and which they paid quite some money for. I got the same issue with Harry Wilson. Guaranteed playing minutes, Brooks injured and Bournemouth looked unimpressive. You reckon I'd keep him as well?

      James didn’t start and was outscore s by other United players, I don’t think there will be huge moves to him. McGinn getting more movement but I think Barkley will be ok. Martial might move in price, I would be concerned if I were wanting him.
