It is a short but important week coming up for Fantasy Premier League managers.

There are some big decisions to be made ahead of Gameweek 3 as some prepare to spend their two free transfers, others consider the Wildcard and that’s before we even get on to the captaincy.

So we’ve put together another panel of fine FPL minds to help you with any dilemmas.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Simon March – Former FPL champion who won the title in 2014/15 and has provided excellent advice ever since.

Always Cheating – The USA’s number one FPL podcast duo comprising of Josh and Brandon.

Gregor – Long-time Fantasy Football Scout moderator.

Doosra – Fantasy Football Scout user with some rather popular custom tables.

Been off the boil first two weeks and it's shown in my team... Assuming a lot are looking to wildcard given some of the unforeseen assets?

This is the thing, I went against my gut last minute at the start of the season and it's massively cost me, now I'm scrambling to rectify.

I dropped Sterling for Salah at 1600 GW1 then refused to swap him over GW2 and it's showing in my 1.7M rank already. I decided to hold my GW2 transfer so I could have two for free in GW3 which meant I didn't do Moura > Martial as planned and that's backfired.

As a WHU fan I let my heart go above my head and went for Haller over Pukki and finally I let this site talk me out of a double Everton defence (Pickford & Digne) and that would've been a great start to the season...

        Do I wildcard to rectify this team;

        Ederson
        TAA, Digne, Walker, KWP
Richar, Moura, Salah (C), Wilshere, Tielemans
        Haller

        McGovern, VVD, Greenwood, Wilson

That expensive defence and a lot of marginal mid-range attacking players was always going to be a risk - hope your early WC won't be too costly long-term.

Tbf, this sums me up every season... I start horrifically, pull it out of the bag by spotting trends. Finishes have been 51K and 14K past two seasons so I'm aiming for that again... Just painful to keep making the same mistake but no following my gut!

Suggested changes here, if any? 2 FT / 0ITB

Hold and wait on injury news re Digne or else go Robbo & Perez > AWB & Martial (possibly followed by King > Pukki the week after)

    Pope - Button
    Robertson - VVD - Digne - Zinchenko - Lundstram
    Sterling - KDB - Salah - Perez - Dendocker
    King - Jota - Greenwood

Hi all. I'm not a flapper so don't think I'm flapping. I want to know if you think it's acceptable to do a -8 to do the following:-
    B Silva > KDB
    Auba > Kane
Wilson > 6m (possibly Wesley as I think he opens his tally from Friday night)

I appreciate it could be argued that it may not pay for itself this week and looking at it as a fairly long term move.
Saying that, Silva could make way for the unfortunate Mahrez, Auba has Liverpool and Wilson has City so it would still feel good.

This seems the viable way to get KDB in who looks absolutely fantastic so far. Any thoughts much appreciated.

      I'd Be set up with:-

      Trossard Perez Salah KDB Doncks
      Wesley Kane Ings

You don't have to do Auba to Kane this week even though you want the latter for that plum Newcastle fixture. Unless of course you are confident of having Kane start on -4 points for that game.

Follow your gut. I did when I transferred Deulofeu out for Pukki last week 🙂

    Two questions:

    A) Why didn't Balbuena start?
    B) Is Leitner nailed now?

Dendonk or Ceballos as first sub?

Is someone able to tell me how reliable Pukki is going to be against Chelsea? Everyone seems to have faith in him but i think everyone’s jumping on the hype train very early.

He just looks the real deal, seriously. He was excellent last season and doesn't look any different this time. He'll get 15 goals easily maybe push 20 and for his price it's a no brainer.

I'd say 15-20 is realistic which would give him another 11-16 goals in the next 36 games

          Yeah good point, looks likely

Plus, say he gets those 11-16 goals in 10-15 games... That leaves him with somewhere in the region of 20-25 blanks in his next 36

Interesting. I’ve (possibly stupidly) played my free hit this week. Currently I’ve lined up Kane mcgoldrick and Jimenez for the front three. Should i put pukki over Jimenez?

      3. Pukki Blinders

He's already got 1/4 of that. That means in the remaining 36 games he'll get about 12 goals, 1 goal every 3 games? I think he'll do better tbh

there is nobody better than him at that price right now judging from what we have seen.

He played well in his last two games one of high was Liverpool. Chelsea haven't looked good in defence so he has a good chance of scoring again but obviously it's not guaranteed

Is Pukki another Ross Barkley waiting to happen?

    Why (not)?

    1. Regin

of course not. pukki is a center forward, nailed, goal machine, in form,..

No: he won't get dropped. The main thing that could happen would be norwich stop scoring full stop but they look like they'll attack regardless if they get beat by 3/4 ref Liverpool. He may not be exceptional value but unlikely to offer poor value

He won't play Newcastle every week

And Adrian is doing his best to make Liverpool look ordinary at the back

But he's quite cheap in fairness to him

      If he's nailed then no

Compared to King which is in a lot of teams, King is 0.5 more, scores half his goals due to pens, and Pukki is already 1/3 on his way to beat Kings last season goal tally (in 2 games !!!)

Norwich has missed 5 out of their last 6 pens, by 5 different takers (incl Pukki missing against Milwall).
