This week, Joe is joined by Az and David to discuss the key Fantasy Premier League talking points ahead of Gameweek 3.

The next round of action is an important one for Fantasy managers as many will be wielding their two free transfers.

Already bandwagons have begun to form, so our Scoutcasters will be discussing how best to approach these.

Naturally, Teemu Pukki (£6.7m) is a prime example after he scored a hat-trick in Gameweek 2.

However, we will also be examining Liverpool assets after a lacklustre start to the season at both ends of the pitch.

        With so many options, there's no need to keep them for the season, you can play the fixtures.

        Also, even if that's true, you get an extra player.

    This market is crazy! Refused to panic WC at the start of the week and now I'm regretting it. So many rises and falls with people clearly WCing.

    Even more tempted to WC now to try avoid being priced out even more but is that just madness? A lot of the "top" players seem to be staying calm. Not sure if its experience or stubbornness

        Was more meant by the article posters and podcast guests. I'm starting to think it's more that the game has changed and they're stuck in their ways.

        Missing another martial rise and even a mount rise is annoying especially since perez now looks set to fall with mane rising.

      Price rises and falls are being driven by people taking hits, not WC'ing.

      WC doesn’t affect price changes.

      The changes are being made by people doing regular transfers and hits.

      It’s the early season hype. It will settle down soon.

      Martial is still affordable

      No point chasing rises if you are satisfied with your team as it is, the ship has mostly sailed.

      There will be other chances to try and get in if you're that concerned about value like international break.

          If you are going to have KDB, Sterling and Salah I guess not a bad move. Your midfield will be set for a while. Getting the captain right most difficult part though.

          I took a -8 to get Pukki and KDB and avoided Vardy price drop.

        Maybe, maybe not but I feel better now having KDB though.

        SHU are a very difficult team to play at home so let's see. Losing 0.1 on a big hitter is a pain especially if you want to upgrade. Every 0.1 lost becomes a nightmare. If Vardy blanks again the get rid ASAP.

          it´s rather the ones that are not big hitters you don´t want to lose 0.1, because big hitters you can almost rely on going back to normal and then people buy them back. Players like Guilbert etc who seems to have lost his place is much harder to get back. Fraser etc is someone i would think also will go up when he starts performing. And, one more thing about price falls and rises is that one other aspect of this game is to be able to identify players that are underpriced or getting them while they are below original starting price.Admittedly sometimes you have to bite the apple and buy a player that have already rosen in price, A quick turnaround upwards in price for a player also comes with a risk that if he starts regretting the one that bought him late will suffer most in terms of value lost. Then again, Jimenez, Fraser, Vardy/mahrez back in 14-15 season and Alli is the examples that makes this so intricate, becasue there is always some players that for some reason outperforming there value.

      Seems to have changed a lot with FTs, hits and wildcards, even among FPL veterans. Some players who might still be part of the template, like Siggy, Perez and Vardy... Might still change soon enough

      If he blanks again the ensuing sell off will surely trigger a drop.

    Hmmm Captain conundrum:

    A) Salah (ARS) - team loyalty (for me) and form in this fixture
    B) Sterling (bou) - in form and BOU looking pants. Likely to be top pick
    C) KDB (bou) - as above but more of a differential
    D) Martial (CRY) - looking great in his position, at home and CPL haven’t got going at all yet
    E) Pukki (CHE) - because he is on fire, at home and CHE are apparently still asleep from summer

            No, it won't

            KDB + 2.5 will not "cover" Sterling except if Sterling gets injured. Mané + 1.0 vs Salah is more of an argument, especially with Sané's longterm injury making Sterling more nailed than ever

            Also, Sterling's ownership is approaching 17/18

              One would suspect Sterling is less inclined to get rotated with Sané out but on the other hand, seeing as he is now the only pacey winger (mahrez not pacey, but tricky) and therefore a very important player for Pep, one would suspect he is saved in some games, more like a impact sub lat 20min, around CHL and december month perhaps. Just speculation but for me, Sterling injured and THAT weakens City a lot, since they have no players that can emulate what he does on the pitch.
