In last week’s relatively tranquil episode, patience was being preached. This time around it’s a different story as bandwagons pick up pace, early transfers are made and tempers become frayed.

Joe, Az and David consider the merits of Norwich’s four-goal hero Teemu Pukki and other bandwagons ahead of Gameweek 3.

The dos and don’ts of addressing the heightened transfer market activity this week is a key discussion in this latest episode, as our podcast trio give their tips on knowing when to jump aboard and when to wave a player away.

Along the way Az and Joe round on David’s differential nominee and whether this bargain-priced midfielder can be a regular member of Fantasy managers’ line-ups.

Meanwhile, Az is forced onto the back foot when it comes to justifying a double Liverpool defence strategy early on in the campaign.

The Fantasy Premier League community’s love-affair with Liverpool assets across the park is also considered, with differing opinions continuing when it comes to the merits of Reds frontman Roberto Firmino.

The Scoutcast crew do sing from the same hymn sheet eventually when it comes to their opinion on Sheffield United fans’ dubious teamsheet predictions.

Elsewhere, the best bets for clean sheets over the next four weeks are examined and the crew reveal their transfer plans and the players they have already brought in.

This Scoutcast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe to get notified of future live episodes.

In addition, the Scoutcast and all our other podcasts are now also available via our Soundcloud channel.

Fraser + Laporte to De Bryune + Lund a good move? Already have Sterling and Ederson. This is the only possible solution to bringing in De Bruyne and NOT take a hit.

    Pickford (Button)
    Robbo, Zinc, Digne (Lund, Ake)
    Dend, Sterling, KDB, Siggy, Perez
    Pukki, Kane (C) (Greenwood)

    Any changes/suggestions to this team?

FYI I am fully aware of my lack of liverpool coverage in attack

Already made my transfers this week (Fraser>KDB, Wilson>Pukki), Perez is a move for next week if he blanks

Looking to get Martial but only way I can do that is Siggy>Martial (alternative Siggy>Maddison, Perez>Martial) or downgrade elsewhere and Perez>Martial

It's coming back, I really wish it wasn't though. Being able to work out who your opponent bought isn't a part of the game, it's an oversight by FPL Towers. Rather than re-introduce it they should be proactive and plugging the hole. Knowing if your opponent has made a transfer or not and then more specifically working out what transfer is pretty lame.

Hopefully it stays that way. The response Pumpkinhead got from them doesn't really indicate if the old system will be returning or not. I got some amusement from the detective work some people did in seasons gone by to see what transfers people did but the whole thing got carried away. Weekly reports on reddit of what every big name manager has made, people discussing moves their ML opponents had made after looking them up on Kammy etc etc. It all got very silly by the end.

He's back in full training, lamps said after international break.
Competing with Willian / Pulisic / Pedro / Barkley.
His preferred position is wide left. Rumors that he's signed contract extension a while back but not confirmed by the club for Apparently marketing reasons. I'd hold off for now. I'm a Chelsea fan BTW

Hey guys first time player here and would really appreciate some help/advice
    Pope
    TAA/AWB/Digne/(Lund /Rico)
    Salah/KDB/Martial/Perez/Trossard
    Auba/Deulofeu (Greenwood)

Is it crazy to take -8 to get sterling in? Would be Trent/Perez/Auba-Zinc/sterling/Pukki. Also would set me up to WC on GW8 proving no injury’s which is a bonus in my mind lol

Really unsure what to do here as sitting nice in my ML but feel no sterling will be bid mistake, considering for and fixtures.

I don't have Salah in my team and had Kane instead (outscored or matched Salah in the first two weeks and 1.5M cheaper)

Auba not needed better options elsewhere, your midfield is too expensive not having a cheap 5th mid tross 6 and perewz 6.5

Would be odd if you did not have any ideas for using 2ft at this point. On the other hand, I really prefer patience at least on players who have performed during past seasons. Holding Salah last year through bad times ended up having him when he had hattrick against BOU

No WC & 0 FT with 0.0 ITB.

So pretty much working with what I have.

    Pope/Adrian, McGovern
    Digne, AWB, Zinc, Lund, Kelly
    Sterling, KDB, Martial, Ceballos, Mane
    Kane, Greenwood, Wickham

I have the exact funds for this team, thoughts please? Also would you go Pope/Adrian. Thought of Adrian at least gives me some Pool defensive cover...

I don't think Liverpool defensive coverage is needed at the moment until Allison is back, he adds so much to there defence. I'd go for Pop.

Not gettin gPukki seems like a mistake, I am assuming you are on WC. I would suggest Ceballos to 4.5 Mid (Dendonck/Cantwell) and see what you can do with the extra cash, currently you will have to play one of Green/Wick/Lund/Kelly each week

I have a team with Pukki/Rashford but means no Kane...
I don't have many qualms with playing one of those four each week and I think that Greenwood will eventually get more starts (especially given OGS' comments)

I did a -8 last night but now I'm a little unsure if it's worth it or if I should just WC instead
    Current team:

    Pope Button
    TAA Digne Zinchenko KWP Lundstram
    Salah Sterling KdB Martial Dendoncker
    Pukki Jota Greenwood

Am I right in that WC erases minus points from transfers?

Stick. That’s a great team and your wc would look pretty much like that I guess? So then I prefer to keep the we and take -8. If you were are -12, if hit the button

    Lloris & Walker > Ederson & Rose > Lloris & Rose?

Which pair is better? Considering I don’t have Kane and don’t have the balls to put Son straight in, going for damage limitation.

Selling Wilson this week or next.

    A) sell tonight *before* a price drop (that he won’t recoup, obviously) but for a hit.

    B) sell next week for free but *after* a price drop.

he's already dropped so wouldn't bother - him, Jota, Kean and Bats have/will all dropped - I'd try to make sure I get the right one next week
