There are two Premier League matches kicking off at 14:00 BST today, with West Ham United facing Manchester United and Crystal Palace hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Red Devils are unchanged from the team that beat Leicester City, meaning that Daniel James has recovered from the knock that forced him to miss Thursday’s win over Astana.

There is no place for Mason Greenwood in the matchday squad, however, with the teenage striker ruled out with tonsillitis.

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial miss out as expected, with Solskjaer providing an update on Pogba ahead of kick-off:

Hopefully, we can get him back next week. He started training yesterday. Probably get some minutes against Rochdale, but definitely we think he’s ready for Arsenal.

Manuel Lanzini hasn’t recovered from the injury that Manuel Pellegrini disclosed in Friday’s press conference, so Pablo Fornals takes his place in central midfield.

Aaron Cresswell is in for the suspended Arthur Masuaku at left-back.

Roy Hodgson makes just one change to the Palace team that lost 4-0 at Tottenham Hotspur.

Andros Townsend drops to the bench as the fit-again James McArthur comes into the starting line-up.

Budget FPL defender Martin Kelly is among the substitutes.

Nuno Espirito Santo continues to ring the changes as Wolves juggle participation in the UEFA Europa League and Premier League.

There are four alterations to the side that started against Sporting Braga on Thursday, with Ruben Neves, Patrick Cutrone and Morgan Gibbs-White all benched.

Ryan Bennett doesn’t make the squad, meanwhile, for the second Premier League game in a row.

Diogo Jota, Joao Moutinho, Adama Traore and Romain Saiss are all promoted to the starting line-up.

The teamsheets show Traore as lining up in a front three with Jota and Raul Jimenez, with Matt Doherty in his usual right wing-back role.

West Ham United XI: Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Fornals, Yarmolenko, Anderson, Haller.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young, Matic, Pereira, McTominay, James, Mata, Rashford.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Cahill, Sakho, Van Aanholt, McArthur, Milivojevic, Kouyate, Zaha, Ayew, Schlupp.

Wolves XI: Patrício, Boly, Coady, Saïss, Doherty, Dendoncker, Moutinho, Jonny, Traoré, Jiménez, Jota.

Ya I prefer owning Barnes at 6.6. Cheaper and offers the same amount of potential. The blanks are less annoying at his price too.

Cresswell filling in for Masuaku doesn’t help either, needs someone dynamic overlapping on the left because that’s how he scored half his goals last year

Could it have something to do with michail Antonio being out?

      1. Carlton_Goal
        • 10 Years

Antonio not much of a creator. Lanzini out this game is making a big difference, Fornals has been poor so far

          • 9 Years
          6 years, 10 months ago

Didn’t even realise lanzini is out and knowing how creative he is that would be a big loss. I still think Antonio while not much of a creator has a physical presence about him to help with the attacks. I don’t know much about yarmolenko but he he has the stature to provide what Antonio does so it’s probably the lanzini out why haller has looked poor so far

You have a point about Antonio being out though, Yarmolenko is a very good player but always looks to cut inside and take the shot on himself, will rarely take on a defender and put a cross in. Fredericks gets forward a lot on the overlap but his delivery could be a lot better too

            1. Pranav Santhosh
              • 9 Years
              6 years, 10 months ago

Hmm interesting points. I don’t watch enough about west ham to comment on the likes of fredericks yarmolenko etc but I’ve seen a bit of haller at Frankfurt and he’s a class player imo still think could be one of the signings of the season if west ham can utilise him properly and I want to bring him in over the likes of Wilson and barnes

Imo Antonio was able to cross ball to him a couple of times. Needs to be checked though. Both Antonio and Lanzini are too injury prone, but he Haller might be cheap when they are fit.

I’d honestly prefer haller over Wilson so hopefully lanzini and Antonio can stay fit. Any clue on when Antonio should be back?

Simple difference. Rashford plays midweek /IB and can't be rested as no cover. Looks knackered.

City rest Sterling and score 8

Until Man Utd sign a mobile defensive midfielder in the mould of Kante or Gueye they will struggle.

You have Noble and Rice who are slowpokes and no-one is pressuring them because Matic is equally as slow.

Nah Rashford is part of the problem. He thinks hes a lot better than he is. Doesnt press very well, misses 2/3 big chances, low tier movement unless when he can use his pace against a high line. Hes not good enough for a team that wants to put in a challenge for top 4.

what did jose mean when he said that Mata was close to Anthoy Taylor?

That he wasn’t part of the 2 banks of 4. He was just describing their positions at the time of the goal, saying they were set up correctly but then didn’t press

but isnt it funny he pointed out that mata was next to the referee, lile mocking him. he could be close to Rice or a playmaker off the ball

    1 FT, 0.4 ITB

    A) Digne to Lundstram, Hayden to Mount
    B) TAA to Lundstram, Greenwood to Abraham
