We take our regular look back at the Premier League line-ups from the weekend just gone, analysing the systems and personnel used by the 20 top-flight clubs and seeing what lessons could be learned ahead of Gameweek 7.

As was the case last week, we are harnessing the use of the average position maps in our Members’ Area and highlighting some of the key stats from each game.

The figures in brackets given after each player name in the article below correspond to the numbered shirts in the position maps.

Members can read on for further analysis, while those wishing to subscribe can still do so by clicking here – memberships cost the equivalent of £2.19 a month for the remainder of 2019/20 and a video of the benefits can be accessed here.

Lessons learned from Gameweek 6:

KDB, Ota, 2nd MCity attacking asset is my favored triple MCity setup now. But if you don't have cash for Aguero or Sterling, might be a good idea to grab Firmino rather than Mahrez, B.Silva or D.Silva to avoid extra Pep rotation.

Certainly an argument for it. Having both is popular too. I think I still prefer Sterling if you're forced to pick one, despite the evidence so far this season.

I think Sterling will struggle with the hostility of the Goodison Park. The Everton fans really target him because he used to play for Liverpool and he becomes withdrawn and meek.

    Hi guys
    Which option would You choose?

    A) Jota to Abraham
    B) Greenwood to Abraham and downgrade some else on - 4
    C) Siggy to Kdb
    D) Siggy to Son

    2.6 itb 1ft

    Pope
    Zinchenko/Digne/Robertson
    Salah(c)/Sterling/Siggy/Mount/Cantwell
    Pukki/Jota

    Bench: Heaton/Lundstram/Montoya/Greenwood

I think Siggy to KDB is the best single transfer. However, this locks you into 3-5-2 with Jota unless you do something like Salah->Mane or Digne->Soyuncu to get some extra funds.

      Zinc->Ota, Digne->Azpi/Alonso/Aurier, Jota->Abraham/Haller/Barnes/Wood are some alternatives.

Team OK. Ederson and double pool defense eats up a lot of funds. Kelly might not get starts anymore, so upgrading him to Soyuncu/Tomori or just plain swapping to Rico might be useful after 1-2 more weeks. McGinn to Mount looks like a potential upgrade.

Has there been any equivalent to a £50 million pound signing like Fred being so utterly meaningless at another club?

I'm sure there must be but can't think of any that have had such a non existent impact.

      Andy carroll - Newcastle
      Torres / Schevchenko - Chelsea

Yeah although Carroll didn't fit the way Pool wanted to play and was a weird rebound from Torres.

Spurs may look a bit rubbish but then so do Chelsea as a side. It's about how the attacking assets perform. Son is looking like performing just as Mount and Abraham are.

          • 8 Years

Also the question I asked tonight wasnt whether I should do it or not, it was whether I should do it tonight or wait in case of price changes/injuries. Therefore people are only going to reply if they don't like the transfer. Lots of people told me to do it last night when I asked about doing it or not, and I've decided its a good idea since. Why you're whining at me when it doesnt affect you idk but whatever..

          Not sure captaincy is necessary

Brought him myself for a hit but may yet go elsewhere. He's in for 4/5 weeks anyway and that's the time frame for him to pay off.

Looking at City assets (Kun KdB) or perhaps Vardy if I go for the big hit

Hi guys. If you had to get rid of one based on form, fixtures, stats etc who would it be? Really want Son in this week unless its not worth it? Have TAA and KDB if it helps. Thanks all.

    A) Salah
    B) Sterling
    C) Auba

None of those out for Son imo. Spurs don't look good.

I guess I'd probably say Salah because of fixtures. I'm giving him at least the next two weeks though.

Thanks guys. Agree with Spurs not looking good but have a strong feeling Son could still do well in the next 3-4. Proven FPL asset and excellent record vs Saints. The struggle is real 🙁
