Fantasy Football fashionistas Joe, David and FPL Family’s Sam attempt to second guess the next big trends over the coming Gameweeks.

Chelsea’s increasing array of young talent, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ improving form and fixtures as well as Liverpool’s double-up potential are among the next big things being tipped by our trio.

They also find time to wonder whether there really can be a better party than the one hosted by Norwich striker Teemu Pukki earlier in the season.

Sam has already left the forward’s party, David is reluctantly staying put while Joe is insisting everyone keeps dancing. Could the marksman’s brace for Finland, as the show was being streamed live, herald a renaissance? Joe’s goals imminent table certainly suggests patience with the East Anglian based hitman.

Elsewhere, Leicester’s favourable long-term fixture run is discussed and Sam coins a new Scoutcast phrase – “doing a David”. This refers to David’s transferring out of Foxes’ stars just before favourable form or fixtures.

Clean sheets, a particularly unlucky rough with the smooth entrant, as well as Gameweek 9’s captaincy and transfer plans are also on the bill.

In addition, there’s a birthday, a pair of flares and praise for the entire town of Bournemouth.

This Scoutcast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe to get notified of future live episodes.

    Via Sky Sports News...

Sergio Aguero has been involved in a car crash on his way to training this morning, but was not hurt in the incident. It does raise doubt surrounding his potential availability for the weekend.

Worth noting he did still take full part in training with no medical attention needed x

David Garrido (Sky Sports) on Aguero accident:

“We understand he is unhurt after being involved in a small car collision, we’ve been told that he’s had a bump this morning. We understand he didn’t need to be checked by the medical team.”

Re Son From Alasdair Gold, a Spurs journo

'He played on Tuesday in North Korea and had to reportedly come back via Beijing because of the flight restrictions (no direct flights out of North Korean). If he arrives back in the UK today he’s unlikely to return to training until Thursday which means just 48 hours or so before kick off after a lot of travelling around the globe. Pochettino needs him but with Red Star also in mind, this might be a match to use the fresher Lucas Moura and Dele Alli from the start'.

As a Son owner, this is not what I wanted to hear. If you own him what are your plans ? Start him and hope he plays or sell for someone else ?

Yeas I saw that and it cast doubts over the doubts I already had.
Thing is I swapped KDB for Son last week and the obvious move would be to swap them back. I don't expect to get much clarification on Friday on either if I'm honest. Prob make a gut call if not

If I owned Sterling he'd be going nowhere mate. I also expect goals (like many) in the Bou - Nor game.

        • 13 Years

You've just reminded me at the start of the season my plan was to stay strong with key players like Sterling and hold. Too many times I've been burnt by shifting out to then bring back in.

        Digne out - Soyuncu in
        Cantwell out - Mount in
        2FT

        Kept Pukki too

        1. Pep Pig
          • 10 Years
          6 years, 9 months ago

Solid. My aim was also to be much more disciplined with transfers and trying to roll an FT more often. Bit mad I didn't do it last week but did KDB > Son and soon regretted it

What I am hoping for is Trossard and Djenepo to be unflagged GW9 and perhaps be ready for GW10.

Definitely going to jump onto Djenepo. My replacement for Cantwell. Will keep tabs on Trossard.

Also hoping to see Pepe improving and for Tierney to start. Keeping tabs here as well.

    Come on GW9!!!

I have 1FT & 1.6 IDB and not sure what to do here:

    a) Pukki to CWilson
    b) Salah to KDB
    c) Sterling to KDB
    d) save FT
    e) do something else

    Pope
    TAA, Ota, Soy
    Salah*, Sterling(C), Yarmo, Cantwell*
    Pukki, Tammy, Auba

    Button, Lunds, Hayden**, Hanley**

    1. Pep Pig

For me that's a cracking team for this week so I'd be tempted to save. I certainly wouldn't want to get shut of any of the 3 you've mentioned. I can see the Pukki to Wilson move being very popular. I own the latter but expect Pukki to have a good 3-4 weeks with the fixtures also

Thanks. Ownership from GW5 to GW 8:
        Kane - 1,56m > 1.37m
        Pukki - 2.54m > 3.0

Can you see current numbers for GW9?

        1. Miguel Sanchez
          • 10 Years
          6 years, 9 months ago

Guess you could go to the transfers page and add the difference between transfer in (round) and transfer out (round).

          So Kane would be 1.37 m (GW 8) + Transfer In (GW 9 round) 14,394 - Transer Out (GW 9 round) 84,034 = 1.23m

Worth a 4 point hit? I have 2 FT, but I don't have enough money to just do the first two transfers, so I have to get Dunk in as well.

    Pieters -> Dunk

Just realized that I must have confirmed one of my drafts without Callum Wilson when on WC during GW7 so I Iost value on him even though he played every GW for me. Rookie mistake...

What do we think of a Pool clean sheet this GW?
Have TAA and VVD, thinking of losing VVD to bulk up forwards

    Greenwood, VVD > Jimi, Kelly/Rico

Back in the Rafa Liverpool days, United used to have a slogan - KRAP for Keep Rafa At Pool. Rafa tended to get rattled and other mangers (Sir Alex included) got inside his head fairly easily.
Oh, how the tide has turned with United hopeless and not able to find a manager that can take them back to those heights of Sir Alex.
Maybe a new slogan for these United days under OLE..
    Let’s here some...

Pool still need to win a Premier League so no point in them getting ahead of themselves.

Not many behind United to be fair. Weather it’s 1st div or PL, irrelevant. Liv will soon overtake united league titles but can’t see united getting close for 5 seasons, at BEST

That's a silly viewpoint. Teams can improve or fall quickly.

I like the strategic planning, yes. Couldn't give a monkeys about any team or league. Haven't done for almost 10 years now.

I wouldn’t play FPL if I didn’t enjoy the premiership. Surely it’s boring this way. Each to their own.
