The christmas period is fast approaching so it's time to bring another starter in my team, which has survived till now with Greenwood, Kelly and Cantwell on the bench but I cant see that continuing. So with 1m ITB, heres the lineup competing for that spot based on performance (points) this weekend, Eye test, and stats!

    1) Djenepo
    2) Mousset
    3) Saint Maximin
    4) Willems

Anyone else you fancy, who I have missed?

Djenepo - no. Unless there is something you know that I don't about his expected minutes.

To be honest I haven't given real consideration to the other two. I guess if you have the money to

spare on a bench player, you can't go wrong with Ayew would be premium bencher, I'd probably be tempted to start him some weeks.

I think Trossard is more likely to take minutes from Gross. Gross is the one who has been getting subbed off for Trossard. Potter seems to really like the pairing of Connolly and Maupay

          1. Murder On Zidanesfloor

May well be true, but I'm looking for a guaranteed starter, which is the whole point of getting an extra player since there could be rotation during the Christmas schedule. Ill keep an eye on Connolly though, If he performs well another couple of weeks he will be hard to drop. Cheers

I'm a Janmaat advocate. He has Doherty-styled heatmaps and QSF has tightened their defence up. More or less the cheapest midfielder in the game, and also very easy to drop to the bench. Useful for the rotation period of GWs 18 to 22, if Watford hasn't returned to crap by then (which is an easy sell)

But, of those you listed... Willems. Djenepo is a beast but he's seemed to have taken over Ings's injury role in that squad 🙁

      1. Murder On Zidanesfloor
        • 8 Years

Saw Femenia coming on for him in the previous game. With both fit there is a risk he could be dropped to the bench?

        1. Ze_Austin
          • 7 Years
          6 years, 8 months ago

Both are fit. Femenia was a victim of the City mauling, with Janmaat being a better fit for QSF's wingback system. It seems Femenia is brought on late in the game to convert a back 3 to a back 5. Either that or Janmaat has fitness issues with lasting the full 90, which is a red flag in itself

But no, Janmaat is nailed for now... I think

Yeah that was enough to put me off. Just having a quality player in the squad who is fit and capable of playing the same position is a red flag for the Christmas period.

Söyüncü very unlikely to score and chance of cleansheet about 29% according to bookies. I think I'd take punt on Cantwell at home to Watford.

On wildcard, thinking of having only one playing keeper. Have Pope and Ramsdale right now.
How does your tactic look, and who is the best 4.5-4.7 keeper?

Henderson is the one I would go for

If I have a Ft to spare, I am going to do Pope to Henderson before GW15

Oh yeah my bad, he is on WC now, so rules him out.

Can see Pope doing decently for the next 3

    Play Lundstram or Soy

Probably the most asked question I've seen here today. They are both on my bench and they keep swapping between bench spots 1 and 2. Lund away doesn't have many opportunities and I reckon Spurs will score. I think Arsenal will also score and Soyuncu might have the bug for attacking returns now. Now that Mount may not start, the order could be vital. Leaning towards Soyuncu because Leicester clean sheet more likely than Lund attacking return imo.
