From Gameweek 25 of last season onwards, Sadio Mane (£12.1m) has outscored Mohamed Salah (£12.3m) in Fantasy Premier League by 190 points to 152.

The main difference appears to be explosiveness: both players have blanked in ten of their 25 starts over this period but the Senegal international has recorded three times as many double-digit hauls (nine v three).

We discussed the various arguments in the Mane v Salah debate upon the release of the FPL price list in the summer, with one consideration being the Egyptian’s positional move from the central striker of a 4-2-3-1 to his usual right-wing role in a 4-3-3.

Another factor was Liverpool’s use of crosses – and it’s this particular tactical shift that we’ll analyse in the Members article below.

    Which would you go if Salah is fit after IB?

    a) Aurier -> Taa (4,3 ITB after)
    b) Mount -> Salah (0,9 ITB after)

    If I want both next GW I would need to KDB -> Pulisic/Martial to free funds

    I have Mane from Liverpool.

      Tomkins and Sakho are likely first choice but the odds of their both being fit simultaneously are zilch - so Cahill is a good pick

      He's someone I've been eyeing up (on Maupay currently) but I'd be expecting a possible benching in early-December given the swift turnaround in GW14-16. Hasenhuttl said recently that he didn't think it was a good idea for Ings to play three times in a week:

      I think Jiminez is a good option, but if you want to spend bigger Ings is cheap and could be benched if you dont need him.

    Some of the common and fairly logical recommendations around here are moving for example:-
    Mount to Pulisic
    McGinn to Trossard
    And other such moves that seem to make sense from the outside.
    I have been playing the game for a while now and have a reasonable record, developed by some "not so obvious" recommendations from others.
    Please think about each move carefully this time of year.
    It is appropriate to have players playing regularly and when considering a player like Pulisic, the need for bench cover is more important.
    No matter the obvious skills he has, he has competition (CHO) who will no doubt play in his place up to as much as 50% of the time.
    A good bench and a decent bench who can cover rotation would be advisable.

    Mainly about headers and crosses but FPL managers don't mind where the points come from. Maybe teams will try to prevent their crosses now and more will come from the middle..? Salah is on pens and is only a hat-trick away from being the best player in the world again... We know what he's capable of and I'm glad I've got him. Fingers crossed he recovers in time for the next game!
