The key Fantasy Premier League assets all start for Crystal Palace against Brighton.

Wilfried Zaha (£6.7m), Martin Kelly (£4.3m) and Vicente Guaita (£5.1m) have all survived a recent wave of injuries.

Roy Hodgson is without Patrick van Aanholt (£5.5m), Joel Ward (£4.4m) and Jeffrey Schlupp (£5.5m) through injury while Mamadou Sakho (£5.0m) is serving the second of a three-match suspension.

However, Andros Townsend (£5.6m) and Gary Cahill (£4.5m) are missing from the team.

Meanwhile, Neal Maupay (£5.8m) starts up-front for Brighton while Yves Bissouma (£5.0m) gets a rare appearance in central midfield.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Riedewald, Dann, Tomkins, M Kelly; McArthur, Milivojevic, Kouyaté; Zaha, Benteke, Ayew.

Brighton and Hove Albion XI: Ryan, Montoya, Webster, Dunk, Burn, Pröpper, Bissouma, Mooy, Groß, Maupay, Trossard.

Longer term, Kelly price rising, Tomori out of favour and currently injured, might need cover on bench as my other 2 are blanks.

Two week punt, who do you think are best options over coming gameweeks to replace these guys?

    A) Salah (midfield is KDB, Maddison, Pulisic, Hayden)
    B) VVD (defence is Chilwell, Lundstram, Tomori, Robertson)

    1. Rainer

      Neither this week.

Salah from GW20, early in 19 if you fancy him for Leicester away.

He could. But stats show potential, don't equal FPL points. Similar for Zaha. I'd punt on Cantwell or Antonio when he's back before Pulisic ir Zaga right now. Hopefully Zaha will shut me up tonight!

Based on the team I have I can make max 2 subs in order to make the most of having two players.

        Alli & Mount > 1 Midfield & 1 Striker.

Leaning towards Maupay & Zaha if making those two changes. Otherwise it’s just 1 player.

Saka to Cantwell probably, unless you can afford Traore or Moutinho. Cantwell has scoring threat but he might only come on as a sub at 70mins in some games since he's such a young player.

    Currently

    Ryan / (Martin)
    TAA / Soy / Lund / (Kelly) / (Williams)
    Mane / KDB / Madds / Son / (Dendo)
    Vardy / Rash / Abraham

    1 FT, 0.1m ITB

Any ideas? Thinking of TAA to Doherty for the week and then straight swap back next week (get 7.2 for trf out of TAA)? Or any other ideas?

Play Kelly, bench TAA, save FT?

Not convinced by Abraham lately. Pukki, Ings, Jimenez all seem to be in better form currently.

That was the plan, but not convinced by playing dendo/Williams when I can afford to swap taa out for a week . Had Ings until last week and swapped him out for rashford - just think is a better option long term

          • 14 Years

Williams to Rico would solve that, but you are 0.1 short. I guess the only nailed 4.2M def is Kiko Femenia? Yikes.

Nothing wrong with playing Dendo vs Norwich though?

had Williams at 4.0 so actually 0.2 short :/

And no nothing wrong with dendo - just feel like much higher ceiling for Doherty in that game - i.e. clean sheet and assist/goal?

            1. Karhumies
              • 14 Years

Have you seen Pukki's form lately? He's already scored vs Liverpool, Mcity, Leicester and Chelsea this season. Seems super likely to score vs Wolves as well. That won't be enough for Norwich to win the match since they're leaky at the back, but I'd bench any Wolves defenders.

Farke expects him to "be a tough lad" and play the Wolves match anyway. He's expected to miss a couple of days of training but be fit to play.

Gives them more of an excuse to defend (which they like).

"I had to play defensively, as we are patched up at the back" etc.

Same as when they went down to 10 men vs Bournemouth. They love defending as it means they can counter-attack more. They also don't have the ability to break down teams who defend against them.

Yay Benteke starts - oh goody

This looks like Roy going for it. I’d have put money on 5 in midfield.

World chess champion Magnus Carlsen of Norway has made a move: He is now at the top of the standings in Fantasy Premier League, an online soccer competition played by more than 7 million people.

    Interesting. I didn't know.

Ex-Liverpool player Nick Tanner is number two, though he's burnt his chips to get there.
