West Ham assets have been largely overlooked in the build-up to Double Gameweek 24.

With Liverpool and their host of options for the Triple Captain chip dominating the debate, the Hammers have slipped under the radar.

The question is whether or not David Moyes’ men deserve to stay there.

We are answering that question in this latest article, comparing the Hammers under their new/old manager against Manuel Pellegrini’s start to 2019/20, as well as ranking the Hammers’ best assets against the rest of the league.

    I'm leaning toward bringing in Mane, but can't settle on a defender for VVD. Who makes the most sense under 4.9 or 4.6?

    a) Martial > Mane, VVD > 4.9
    b) Maddison > Mane, VVD > 4.6

    Ultimately, if I bring in Mane and do not do double LIV defense, I may want double SHU after GW 24. Should I go straight to O'Connell or Egan and just bench this week?

    feel like triple captaincy should be something you have no doubts about, let's say about 10 times a season you captain a player without any hesitation, you put it on the player the second the game reopens after the previous deadline and you don't even revisit the choice. feel like TC should just be an extension of that into a double gw. only exception when you have run out of time/opportunities to use it then it's simply the best of what's left.
    if wolves (a) and west ham (a) were single gameweeks I'm not sure salah (sorry can't talk for mane as don't have him so can't guess the feeling) would be one of those automatic hesitation free captain choices. he'd potentially get the west ham armband if there were no better alternatives but that's it.
    that's the hesitation, it's that away record elephant in the room of course.

        just that ideally i'd want at least 1 of the 2 to be a fixture where he's an obvious captain, not because he's uncaptainable otherwise as the fact is they do come in a pair, but it's the tease that there may be man city doubles for example with at least 1 more obvious captain fixtures within them.
        feel like we're all playing deal or no deal and we're down to 3 or 4 boxes and are getting a very good offer from the banker for this dgw, but there's that nagging thought that our box could still have the £250k. a good safe known vs a potentially great unknown that may not even exist
